JaboG35 Bericht der Woche 07.09.2025 - Sommerpause und neue Taktiken Nach ein paar Wochen Betrieb mit niedrigerer Zahl an Flugstunden begeben wir uns als Geschwader in die intensive Vorbereitungsphase für die REFORGER 25-4 BULLSEYE '89 Fighter Weapons Competition. Damit treten wir nicht nur in die Fußstapfen des realen JaboG35, welches damals als Leichtes Kampfgeschwader 42 mit der Fiat G.91 an mehreren solcher Wettkämpfe erfolgreich teilgenommen hat, sondern auch in den direkten Vergleich mit anderen Staffeln und Geschwadern die auch das Flugmuster Phantom II fliegen. Uns im Vergleich mit ihnen eine gute Leistung abzuliefern ist daher das große Ziel und sollte jetzt jeden Piloten und WSO dazu motivieren sich selbstständig und im gemeinsamen Flugbetrieb darauf vorzubereiten bei BULLSEYE '89 das Beste zur Schau zu stellen was das JaboG35 zu bieten hat. Außerdem haben wir in den letzten Sorties neue Angriffsverfahren erprobt und werden diese nach und nach in unsere als SOP geführten Verfahren aufnehmen. Darunter befinden sich unter anderem Verfahren vom 70th TFS auf F-4E Phantom II beschriebenen und frei verfügbar sind. Ein kurzer Auszug davon befindet sich am Ende der Bildergalerie. Selbstverständlich gibt es wieder ein paar Eindrücke von den vergangenen Sorties zu betrachten. Eine Rotte im Hot Pad des NLP Adelsheim, hier der Refit mit SAMP250LD Bomben #2 im Climb, in diesem Sortie war das BSA Tactical Pattern dran BDA auf dem Rückweg, alles sauber Unsere Rotte beim Taxi zur LC Area 09, mit dem Arbeitsplatz unserer 1A Tower-Lotsen, die uns das Leben erleichtern Climb auf Cruise alt nach dem VIP Der Intercept an den Tanker, die Maschine vom Typ KC-135 der USAFE mit Rufzeichen TEXACO 2 im Hintergrund Unsere #2 am Tanker, der prompt entschied aus dem Tanker Track auszubrechen und uns in belgischen Luftraum begleitet hat. Thanks for your help. Just 1 issue. I am trying to set up the (saitek x52 pro) 'I' rotary to be able to camera zoom view but it doesn't give me the option to fine tune axis. I tried a million things but no success. When i double click on other axis (like the throttle) it gives me the option to adjust. What am I doing wrong?

Already added a track for the A-4E-C, that shows the same thing. This is a USS Forrestal #3 Cat Bug. And the issue is the A-4E-C, regardless of your feelings, because it is the one that goes swimming. And you are? Bowie

I agree it's not great and needs to be changed. If you want something that works for the time being, you can edit the texture file in C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\CH-47F\Cockpit\IndicationTextures\Indication-MFD-CH-47F-2.tga (free Paint.net works if you don't have anything else). Delete the offending boxes (most in the upper right corner). Example file below if you want to try It's not pretty but its readable in VR. The clutter doesn't bother me enough but happy to help if you want to mod it. Indication-MFD-CH-47F-2.tga

@sirrah, I found a similar solution. I made my own animated image by using several PNG frames from a video. I used about 100 frames. Set each frame to start 0.1 sec (60 frames/sec) and presto. This facility is crude but adequate... It works but it bloats the MIZ file. I believe an animated GIF or PNG file would be a more civilized approach.

You would think so, but a surprising number of people, of all origin believe it was normal for SPO-15 to be rendered useless by your own radar.

Since DCS does not simulate bad maintenance or equipment issues, I guess this should not be a problem in DCS.

No? It is clear from talking to many people that radar overspill onto the RWR was not “normal” but an issue. And DCS does not simulate bad maintenance or equipment issues. And if F-14/15/18 firing sparrow is truly indistinguishable, it is quite a difference that Western RWR can magically detect it. After all, can they detect pseudo faked CW waveform of N-019?

While waiting for gif support, you can easily create simple gif's already (admittedly very crude and time consuming)

Nice stuff man ! It really pays off to go high and fast at launch, the missile retains a lot of energy ! Yes, i only seem to get that in a boresight shot. One could get lucky and get a target in front of the missile, but it's an unlikely situation. At any rate, here is my follow-up video:

The only time the HSI will follow the A/C for me is if I keep repeatedly pressing the EGI1 button on the CDU, and even then it only "catches" up the that location of the button press, it doesn't follow the A/C. Makes navigating tough. It only spins if I change heading. Sometimes it will jump back to the original startup airfield if I fly too far away. My game is crashing, but still working at background can click switches etc. When I close the crash window, the game closes. I had no problems yesterday on the same server and with the same jet(phantom). dcs.log-20250908-132003.zip

I hope they did not do that. Hopefully ED will come at us and confirm if they nerfed it or not.
