Hello, In mission 4 I'm getting no returns at all on the SEA radar. I didn't see anything about this in the F18 bugs thread on the form so wanted to see if it was somehow specific to this mission. When I did find a ship visually I'd overfly it within the 200-1500ft bracket but there would never be any call-outs. e-starting the mission didn't resolve either of these issues. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

ED, I know the DTC is early access, however when selecting the 3 airfields on some of the larger maps, say take Germany Cold War finding the airfields can be a bit of a PITA due to their random appearance in the list. Please can you have these in the drop down menu as Alphabetical in order, it can be quite tiresome at present having to search through for airfields and easy to miss one, then you have to start all over again. Sure i'm not the only one thinking this, would be a huge benefit to all of us, for any map! Please can the mods pass this onto the Dev team to get implemented before we get too far down the road with the DTC.

investigating Aileron-rudder interconnect
Bremspropeller replied to Fox One's topic in Bugs and Problems
FWIW, out of th 29G manual: There's no mention of aileron throw being decreased to +/-5° above 18° AoA. It just mentions a reduction in aileron authority above 18° AoA. Now, the authority part may be bad translation (could be meaning authority as in "aileron effectiveness"), but then agian neither does it state a reduction in throw to 5° or any other value for that matter. It says the ailerons are placed 5° up from the aircraft's horizontal reference line in neutral position - that's a wonky way of saying the ailerons at neural are both 5° up to create more washout - in order to decrease any induced yaw during rolls. ARI is mentioned as a function of the AFCS Damper at high AoA (whatever that means): "Lateral control is provided mainly by the ailerons, assisted by the tailerons if the LEFs are IN, and by the rudders at high AoA, provided the stability augmentation system is operating." [...] "Aileron-rudder-interconnect is provided at high AoA by the stab aug system to improve lateral stability." -

would also be useful for airfields to go dark when under air attack.

I have tried bombing as well and I can’t get them on target… falling short continues

My computer died before I got really into it, but the Kiowa has excellent "AI helper", and it's not that hard to be a single crew, No seat switching at all! It's super easy to be single crew. I can easily fly and plink tanks at the same time. It's somewhat harder at night, I'll admit that. If you have an extra screen and an extra joystick, one can do multicrew on one computer. Export the Viviane and have a friend plink the tanks with the second joystick. My GF finds it really satisfying.

Depending on the map, it might be useless as the light might be baked into the ground texture itself. Other than that, it's already been wished for quite a few times.

What other mods do you have installed? That is typical of a mod issue. Doesn't matter if you're using the mod or not, if it's installed it can cause issues.

Hi, Would it be possible to consider the idea of making a "Turn off light" trigger similar to the "Destroy Scenery" one ? It would allow people to create a more elaborate trigger i.e. : if this building is destroy (lets say XYZ powerstation) then "Turn off building light" within the shaped area. It would allow to "simulate" more immersively some "airstrike" and the "effect they have on the battlefield". Opinion ?

OH-58 Kiowa CTD With NVG+ODA and AI Pilot HUD

Having the very same bug, I had to post in Polychop discord : kind of game breaking one for the Kiowa I think.... -
Technically the 29 has slats and the 16 has LEFs, but that's just a tangent on semantics. The 29G manual says the LEFs [sic!] are out when: - either of the two flap DOWN buttons is pressed - landing gear is selected down (gear down overrides flap up) - maneuvering (greater than 8.7° AoA for extension, lower than 7° AoA for retraction, Mach below 0.8 [+0.1 / -0.05]) More LEF trivia: - "LEF out" disengages differential taileron - the Damper AFCS mode will counteract any pitch moments due to LEF operation (unless flaps are down)

The USS Walker will not render when used in Mission Editor. Tried adjusting LOD from 1 to 2. This did not fix the problem. All suggestions to correct appreciated,

КОЛС в режиме ТП строб вообще отстой , кого то захватить почти не возможно .

Honestly, I'm not all that interested in WWII aircraft as much as some, so the fate of the Mosquito isn't something that I think about very often aside from when it comes up in threads like these. If I want to go for a flight in a piston warbird, I normally do it in the Bf-109. But the reatlity is if I'm flying an aircraft with multiple crew, I want to be but one of them, most likely aircraft commander, and I don't want to have to do a lot of seat switching in any DCS aircraft. The UH-1 is designed so that either crewmember can work the radios, so in that case a simple level autopilot is ok. Plus, the guy in the left seat can operate the swiveling forward-facing miniguns on his own, if I'm not in that seat. That's a big deal. The George and Petrovich AI that exist on Apache and Hind can also work the weapons while I fly and I don't need them to tune radios or navigate anyway. It's my understanding that the third party Kiowa and Gazelle, while excellent technical renditions, require a lot of seat switching, and that's a major reason I decided to pass on them. Multicrew AI that can actually do something other than temporarily fly straight and level is something I've come to expect from DCS aircraft these last few years, and to do otherwise, annoys me. Again, I'm not going to revolt against ED because of the Mosquito, but imho, I think this aircraft needs a lot more than "auto-level". It's a pleasure (and easy) to fly, but as of now, it's a hangar queen that occasionally gets to fly a pattern around the airfield. I guess I could just use the NS-430 popup like I typically do in the Mi-8, or be lazy and just use the F-10 map, but whatever...It's an awesome simulation of the aircraft thus far, so yeah, finish the darned thing off!

IIRC, Apache is also prohibited to fire rockets from inbound pylons while in hover.
