Found out you can also set up payloads in the mission editor and edit those lua files to add the fusing options you want. You can then pick them in MP servers as well. -

Let’s get it into a usable place first before we look at other options. -
After engines startup when I turn on AFCS (SAU) switch, all green lights on autopilot buttons start to blink and nothing happens. I don't touch the stick (FFBeast), I even turned it off in, turned off axis bindings. On the startup tutorials videos of other people I see only damper button light starts blinking and stick moves on its own during test. Nothing happens in my case, no matter how long I wait. I cannot even finish the built in training tutorial.

На моей памяти в Щучине МиГ-23 были и МиГ-25, в 89-м мы там 2 месяца сидели, пока с "местным населением" не поцапались... Берёза МиГ-21, потом МиГ-29, Барановичи Су-27....в 91-м в 16 ВА перевели и т.д

Has anybody else noticed the AI Corsairs are incredibly loud on the ground? It so bad on the Marianna's cold start mission that when the AI Corsair is taxiing from the other side of the field to take off it is very difficult to tell if my engine has even started.. I can barely hear it. Just wondering if it's my system or something others have noticed?

Overall, I did not like it. It was very much hyped by the producers to be on par with Top Gun Maverick in regards to the flying scenes, even to the point of featuring one of the same actors. Therefore, my bar was set high enough I went to see it in the theater. It wasn't even close. Maverick did a great job of making even the CGI overlay stuff look accurate, and it totally worked. Among other things, Brown's comically long approach to the carrier, Corsairs launching off the deck and climbing like an airshow Hornet.. it just became uncomfortable. I really don't know Brown's history, but the story really made him come off as an unqualified sub par aviator. The emotional connections between the actors was flat, I simply couldn't make myself care for them. It was a missed opportunity for a great film about great men.

Well, some 20 years ago, I used to fly IL-2 with a guy who was Fulcrum pilot in Indian Air Force. I was very enthusiastic about MiG-29 and he just put me down by saying the plane is nowhere near its famed or advertised capabilities. One thing that really stuck in my memory was how he described the radar - "We would often spot other planes in front of us with our eyes before seeing them on the radar." -
Never launch beyond 20 miles? Regularly launch at 35 miles with success against fighters. You might as well be using Sparrows if you only want to launch within 20. Key with long-range Phoenix use against fighters besides understanding it is a big fat missile and it wants high altitude launch and high altitude targets is understanding how the flight profile works and how much it is affected by bandit aspect. If you are chasing a bandit your range massively decreases, side on shots also have quite a reduced range. Hot high closure bandits are where you can comfortably stretch the range of the Phoenix. Even 50 mile shots are possible against high speed Foxhounds for instance. Keep in mind with Jester in PD TWS, he will have several blind spots when it comes to a target's closure. You have a Notch and a Hardware filter. So, Jester won't be able to see targets that are in drag aspect moving left or right of you (Closure equals your aircraft speed +-133 knots) or if they're matching your speed in a chase (Closure equals 0 +-100 knots)
