  1. Past hour
  2. What have you chosen as the speaker setup in both Windows and DCS? I have a Yamaha too, but I use the optical output from the mainboard. Cheers!
  3. Thanks Ill try that. It has been working if I gently hold the stick sensor but today it just will not work no matter what I do. Even unplugged the Sidewinder and unbound it... BIT fails and fails.
  4. Да вы задолбали ))) почему то для летчиков лишняя кнопка это не проблема, никто и не думал об этом , а для геймеров это трагедия на три страницы форума . Сказали : жми ВЗЛЕТ - ну и жми взлет )))
  5. For interest sake. I now have the exact same MFD export and pass-through working on my Quest 3 using the exact same settings. However, the trick was to uncheck the in headset virtual desktop Streaming option for "Use Optimal Resolution"
  6. (I cant watch the track right now, but) A few things to consider: * approach the target from slightly below, do not get into a look-down attitude * approach the target from the side to increase its RCS, avoid head-on * avoid placing the target in front of mountains or other terrain from your viewpoint * do not place the target at a distance equal to your own altitude * if done right, expect to spot fighters at 10-20nm, maybe 22nm if you are good. large targets like bombers at 30nm-40nm. * if ur flying against typical DCS players that hug the ground, forget it. u wont get them on screen with a regular search * at visual ranges make use of the pilot controlled radar modes, for example BORESIGHT, allowing you to lock targets by putting them on your pipper * expectation management, this isnt a search radar. you need to know where the enemy is (awacs etc) and then optimize your position to get the bandit on screen. even in good circumstances, against fighters you will only have time to fire maybe a single missile until you are already in range for sidewinders and guns
  7. Двадцать девяты-ый не гермафродит. Просто в серию пошло то, что пошло.
  8. Хромое пояснение. Два набора признаков это, если бы у него было сразу два набора кнопок. Три, как есть сейчас, и рядом ещё две как должно быть.
  9. I might have spoken too soon; there might be some minor tuning in this. But I am not sure when the team will get to it. Thanks.
  10. Today
  11. 29-ый гермафродит?... поясню Бог, типа по запарке, наделил новорожденного обоими половыми признаками, а потом, когда увидел что получилось, подумал, махнул рукой и сказал: "Ну и хрен с ним... пусть будет"
  12. At some point, around the beginning of 2025 I think, a new VPC Configurator version was released. If you try to import an old device profile to this or older software version then LEDs won't work. Basically you have to create a new profile and configure it from the scratch. So if you import device profile then try creating a new profile instead.
  13. Yes. PC audio is through HT , connected via HDMI. in Nvidia panel, it identifies audio as Nvidia Audio. However spatial audio has to be encoded in the signal. Receiver or Nvidia won't magically spatialize otherwise stereo sound. I get deep bass, good audio. But I don't feel that Atmost/DTS/Surround speakers are used. Just the 2.1, front and subwoofer, when in DCS.
  14. @Ornithopter Why opt for an F150 if you can go straight to an F40?
  15. If we can get a system of localized weather, yes that solution is better. currently weather is global to the whole map, meaning a timed setting is more practical within the current engine.
  16. I set custom FoV ("zoom normal") on most aircraft, and I also set "Custom Snap View 5" for looking down the gunsight. Over the last year (give or take) I have had a hell of a time with multiple installs of the game on multiple computers with it saving those settings between load ins. This never used to be a problem, but since 2.9.something it's really been frustrating basically having to reset this weekly or every few days.
  17. I finally finished the campaign, I know I’m super late to the party! I like to leave a review for anyone wishing to get multiple points of view. Full disclosure, I am one of BD’s voice actors (Jupiter for one mission and Sparky in Reflected’s campaign) but I try and remove my bias as much as possible. Overall I enjoyed the campaign a lot. The missions are varied so I never felt like I was doing the same thing over and over. The briefings are clear with what feels like what actual intel pictures would look like. Having the kneeboards separate was very nice. While I often use my iPad as a kneeboarding, you can use the in game kneeboard on the pilots leg and still be able to read it well in VR. It’s not perfect, but that’s hardly in BD’s control. I never found the missions to be too difficult, but there are some situations that will challenge you. M6 was the only one that I had to fly multiple times before I finally completed it. It was the only mission that I had a hard time passing, but I did refly a couple of missions just because I didn’t think I did well enough for my tastes. This campaign will not hold your hand at all with weapon employment, so study up and come prepared. However, the campaign is flown as a wingman almost exclusively so you will be told when to perform all the admin sections of the flight. I never found myself on the wrong frequency because of this set up, which I really appreciated. The voice acting is top notch. I particularly enjoyed Chainsaw’s actor through out the campaign. I liked the moments that the Finnish pilots use their native tongue far more than I thought I would. But unless you speak Finnish, keep the subtitles on through out the campaign. I must admit it is still strange to hear myself though. My only complaint, and it’s a small one, is load-outs with regards to drop tanks and TGP. This is a personal preference having work on the Hornet for the Navy, but I dislike a drop tank on station 3 with a TGP on the cheek. There was one mission that was double ugly which I throughly enjoyed, but too many time I’m triple bubbled when double ugly should be used, in my opinion. I understand why BD uses the load-outs he does (no refueling and less complications with trim) but he makes these campaigns quite realistic so it feels just off. Again it’s a small person preference, and some people probably appreciate that he does this. And it is very possible that other Nations configure these missions very differently than the US Navy. If you are on the fence about buying this campaign, I would highly recommend it. The two campaigns being intertwined with each other was really nicely done, and the two creators should be applauded for the accomplishment. Keep them coming!
  18. I'll have to try again tomorrow but you should have to put in some left pedal as you pull collective. I don't think SAS would change that.
  19. I can assure you both that these priorities are not in conflict with one another.
  20. Are you on VR ? Unchecking sequential mirrors and choosing the higher resolution option every frame returned performance to how it was for me before the update. But Im on VR
  21. Got the explanation on bingo fuel settings. No idea for the rest of the questions for now.
  23. I hear that's one hot helicopter, that Gazelle. In the Huey, you just pull the collective back a little bit, and learn to work the cyclic and pedals until you can hover in front of a fixed object through trial and error, not much different than learning to ride a bicycle when you were a child.. And that's the tutorial for that helicopter. You guys that use the Gazelle as your ab-initio helicopter trainer must really have the right stuff!
  24. You can’t actually dump fuel on the F4U-1D. Pilots usually burned off excess fuel by circling before attempting carrier landings.
  25. Precisely brother! People don't understand that trying to make one common system is indeed what ruins consistency. That because now you start discriminating individual system features in order to attempt a generalized approach. Why even bother making multiple EW aircraft, if they1l all fit the same bill with the same/similar capabilities?! Short-sighted thinking has never worked in the long run. Throw the notion of "balance" away. DCS will never have units respective to their counterparts for mainly political- and confidentiality reasons. EW is an even bigger problem, as there is even less information regarding it, than aircraft that we cannot currently get. Documentation isn't everything either; norms, practices and generally info that SME's would besit is scarce at best. I won't say never, as ED F-35 has surprised those of us being with the simulator since its inception the most, but I highly doubt they'd venture into this field for many years to come. I'll also add that this is a very niche field too. Not only do the aircraft often require multiple crew members (with modern aircraft, this is less of a problem due to automatization), but it would be an incredible niche in what already is a niche product. I cannot see such an aircraft selling enmasse, given the fact that it wouldn't carry any weapons.
