Regarding the later part. There's a lot that is still wrong about the interaction between radar contributed and non radar contributed MSI trackfiles right now (they are effectively still 2 separate trackfile entities to the system) so there's going to be a lot of weirdness in the symbology and undesignate/RSET/switching logic. Majority of the major issues has been reported internally already. The team just needs to make the fixes.

Canary Islands and Western Sahara Map
Mike Force Team replied to SCAR-M's topic in DLC Map Wish List
The most likely solution is ED creating a global map. I know it was mentioned in the 2025 above and beyond video. Since then, no new updates. -

Zero will be a great addition, Any time frame?
BIGNEWY replied to PKP_Cooler's topic in DCS: A6M5B Zero
Hi, yes its going to be great especially for the PTO. We do not have any dates to share currently, for now we have announced our plans and work is in progress. thank you -
Uncheck the historical switch on the bottom of the screen and the units will appear. I've seen all of them already in the editor. It is indeed a bug with the clock switch for historical units being checked on, perhaps.

As title says, if you touch elevation and then try to FACQ a MSI target, whether it's set to L+S or not, it will try to acquire the target at current elevation. If you don't touch elevation since spawn, the function works as intended. Also, as seen in the "FACQ_wo_moving_elevation.trk" track, TDC depress to designate MSI targets and NWS to switch MSI targets seem to work only periodically. Alright... now if we use the new CTLD in MOOSE (instead of depending on MIST and using the old script) I don't get All Cargos menu. If I turn off MIST, Moose does well but no All Cargos menu. Olympus, however, might be running mist as well. You'd think Moose would overwrite anything troubling. But why does the new CTLD shut down the dang menu?! Anyone around to help? Lmk. ty.

The AI “breaks the laws of physics” only to the extent that the input data it is given contradict the laws of physics and basic common sense. For example, take the AI’s data set for the F4U-1: A zero-lift drag coefficient CD0 of 0.0155? Even the P-51 Mustang did not achieve such a figure. CD0 of 0.018 at Mach 0.8 is pure fantasy for a straight-wing aircraft — as is a maximum CLC_LCL of 1.0 at M=0.8M = 0.8M=0.8. Such numbers are physically unrealistic because straight wings experience strong compressibility effects as they approach transonic speeds: drag rises sharply, and the maximum achievable lift coefficient drops well below subsonic values. Assigning these “perfect” transonic coefficients effectively gives the AI a wing that defies real aerodynamic limitations. The value of the induced drag quadratic coefficient in this data set is more in line with that of a low–aspect-ratio wing, such as on a MiG-21. A value of 0.09 is far from what an aircraft with a straight wing of the Corsair’s aspect ratio should have. What’s fed in is exactly what it flies with. This is data from a well-known U.S. NACA report, showing the variation of maximum lift coefficient (CLmaxC_{L_{max}}CLmax) with Mach number for several aircraft types and wing configurations, based on both flight tests and high-speed wind tunnel measurements.

Is there a drag/weight penalty with the fairing? -
Yes the dynamic cargo system

Whenever I see your very rude manner of communication, I find it extremely difficult to believe that you actually work on an F16 yourself. Apart from that, it would be important to know which Army regulation prohibits refueling an external tank unless it contains less than 4,000 pounds of fuel? Why less the 4,000 pounds of fuel and not 3,500 or 4,500 or empty? There should be reason for it! What is it? What happens if a pilot lands with more than 4,000 pounds of fuel in the center tank, the aircraft is rearmed, and he basically needs a full center tank to complete his mission? It may well be as you describe here, but what are the reasons for this, and what measures are or must be taken to ensure that the center tank can be refilled to capacity when it contains 4,100 pounds of fuel instead of 3,999 pounds? Please share your knowledge with us. An essential part of this hobby is knowing why and how to do things so that they work in the end. When you work on the F16, you will be told the reason. At least that's how it is in the Deutsche Luftwaffe. Everyone is told why certain things have to be done in a particular way. I firmly believe there is no difference in the US armed forces. It would be nice if you could help us to understand what are the reasons for all of this. Thank you!

PLEASE! When do we get the new soldier model - They were first shown a couple of years back, they have been appearing in all subsequent promotional videos, they are now in Wags latest Afgan video, surely they must be ready for release now? They are so needed to make all of the new maps more realistic.

Friendly bump to PLEASE consider adding the Currenthill Chinese PLA SAM units into the core!! Would be so great, to not have to rely on RWR/ALIC mods to encounter these beastly PLA SAMs! -

Unofficial mods will always be unofficial, and I am sorry if you think there is no mod support, but frankly without our platform the DCS modders would not have the opportunity to show their great work. And many of the mods are great, we have even added some to the core of DCS. But not everyone can be chosen to be added. So please do not derail this thread thank you -
