Please Address Game Bloat from CoreMods & Excessive Liveries
Exorcet replied to celestHawk's topic in DCS Core Wish List
We really do need a livery manager. Not only for all the benefits of being able to remove unwanted liveries for space, but also to allow module developers to make tons of liveries without worrying about clogging user drives. It's a win win.- 62 replies

After a lot of testing: 1/ it might be limited to some RED ground units, as it didn't happen in the tests that I conducted with all ground replaced with M-113, or all ground replaced with BLUE ground units. 2/ current suspects might include: Kub 1S91 str Kub 2P25 ln RPC_5N62V S-200_Launcher SA-11 Buk CC 9S470M1 SA-11 Buk SR 9S18M1 3/ Disabling EVASION_OF_ARM on SAM units allowed one test mission to run nearly 12 hours; test terminated without triggering the edcore.dll access violation. So it might be more rare or simply not happen with blue ground units; might be limited to one or more red ground unit (not limited to the list above).

Even with diving I still do not achieve historically accurate speeds. Trying to get there in level flight is a joke.

Hey, herzlich willkommen!

Yeah that’s why I got the CH to hold me over till then. Right, that's a nice little add. What kept me with the CH stuff for so long is too many of the higher quality devices are like “home cockpit” style and not “desktop” meaning if you want to use your PC for anything else, moving them around is just more difficult. Like the Warthog throttle is 14 lbs and these throttles have big bases and too many switches for my needs. CH did fit the bill for being desktop form factor but lots of buttons.

Ok, so I've had the remote session today. They tried a bunch of things like SLAM files and the tech looked at some logs, we tried a different DP port and lastly I uninstalled the NVidia driver using DDU and reinstalled the latest one. Using DDU to reinstall might have helped a little, but I still get jitters, both in DCS and in Pimax Home. I don't know, maybe this is acceptable to some, but it is not to me. I want to be able to look around without any jitters. It really breaks the immersion for me. Another suggestion was to roll back to some previous Nvidia driver. There are tons of them. I don't have time to try them all out. I tried two different ones. No luck. Their last idea was for me to take another look at my room setup. I have done all that before. Different amounts of light, different lamps, I looked through the passthrough and switched off everything that blinked or flashed (thanks for the tip I got here). I disabled all RGB lights on keyboard, mouse and computer. I tried different monitor resolutions. I tried covering the monitor. I set up big QR codes to give the algorithm more to track. Nothing. Same room, same setup, Quest 3: flawless tracking. Sorry Pimax, your SLAM algorithm needs to step up. It is not working for me, and I'm not the only one. I really want the Super to work. But it's unacceptable @Calvin.Pimax Do you have any idea when the new pimax Play will come out?

Of course, you can turn off armament control whenever you want but I remember you like to go boom things so you might want to keep it on

Will we soon no longer be able to use the HP G2 on our computers? I own a G2 myself, and I had to buy a model other than the WMR to replace it.

Konnte man auch problemlos als solchen benutzen.

#BAFG - British Armed Forces Gaming Server
Ghost-Fox-Six replied to Matt Glover's topic in General DCS Squadrons
Joined these chaps recently, good group of guys! Awesome to fly along with people in the British Armed Forces, and hope to learn from them, some are away on leave now and again, might explain quiet servers, but numbers growing. Matty puts in alot off effort to keep the servers missions updated. Time zones all over. -
Этот блочок с 2 тумблерами буквально прикручен к передней панели монитора на 2 винта под крестовую отвертку. Вообще не вижу причин почему прямо в части не могли тупо открутить его законтрив нужные контакты.

Haha yes 100% Well I've been flying the Hog in my squad for 9 years (and in single player since it came out) and can't say I see any major difference in the way Mavericks do or don't track objects, and also haven't heard question or complaints from the squad mates who also have extensive experience in the A-10C and A-10C II modules, nor am I aware of other Hog-communities facing such issues. In fact I'd say that somewhere down the line the CCD seeker H and K model Mavs started tracking at much better ranges. They used to track reliably at maybe 4 or 5 miles, sometimes as low as 3, and nowadays I see no noticeable difference between the IR and CCD seekers. They track pretty reliably at 7 miles and often times as far out as 9 miles. So if your experience differs from that significantly, at fixed set of parameters would be needed to pinpoint the issue - and the easiest way to achieve that is a track.

I fly modules in chunks usually. As of late mostly Corsair and Phantom, Mirage F1 also gets a lot of hours, but I think the overall most hours (not current necessarily) I have in the Mi-8.

Damn. Currency conversions should be avoided as much as possible. I feel like no matter what I try, I loose some money there.
