  2. Up and running now. XR eye tracking had not installed properly and I needed to reorder the XR layers. Now it's all working fine. Just tweaking settings. My impressions at this stage are very positive. The sweet spot is small but easy to find and keep. Eye tracking is better than the QP. With the QP there is a lot of shadow flickering when transitioning between the foveated region and the low res. This is hardly noticeable with the PSVR2. Sharpness is not quite as good as the QP but the softness means there are very few "jaggy" edges so it does not need any anti-aliasing. I'll feed back in more detail later. I want to try the QP using Steam link and do a performance/quality comparison.
  3. Maybe if you feed the AI a template it will work, but then again how does the AI know where goes what? By the time you explained it you would be done filling it manually. Also, AI is still nowhere near AI and very much limited. I think you have a bit too high expectations for the current "AI". Either way, time is indeed precious, but you aren't going to redo a profile every week, so the 5-10 minutes used to create a quality visual reference is neglible compared to the average 665760 hours a human person gets. Or perhaps you should re-prioritize some things in life, like a beer less a week and the time saved there can be invested in creating a template, something like that if you are that short of time in your life.
  4. does the nuke and blu-82 daisy cutter cargoes actually explode when dropped? I saw a growling sidewinder video where they were messing around with these and I want to try it out now
  5. That's an interesting nugget of information. At last the Moza might start to significantly outperform my old Sidewinder. While it is good that that Moza are clearly making an effort to improve things, it shows just how big a mountain they have to climb when such fundamental bugs are still emerging at this stage in the product life.
  6. Congratulations @Sandman Simulations for the release! I find it funny how the news avoided to call it dynamic campaign, which it is, by all means, and it imho should be its main selling point.

    DCS МИГ-29A

Посадки Вагнера, мягко говоря, неидеальны, но позволяют понять, что ФМ претерпела изменения в сравнении с 29 из ГС. Но надо щупать своими руками, конечно )
  8. OK....R-73 for the Hind then ?
  9. Looks amazing. Was just thinking the other day when an update would drop, as all the focus was lately on the CWG map (for all the right reasons). Keep up the good work. These two maps, together with the iconic Syria maps are my favorites.
  10. I have to ask the obvious, have you checked that the profile you’re using has the gun effects enabled?
  11. That was exactly the case with Soviet war production fighters with abysmal quality and big performance loss - yet they are still being modeled. BTW: Do Zero really had 1:1 (!) kil ratio against US fighters like Hellcat or Corsair? It that true? I thought it was like 1:5 or even worse...
  12. Awesome news. Looking forward to that
  13. Thanks for your quick reply. i am aware of them but since the ai has come to this stage there should be a one click solution as we all dont have a much of time we need. time is precious and computers are here for saving it
  14. Today
  15. Compared to the quest pro the psvr2 feels like a cheap plastic toy that is for sure.
  16. IF anyone wondering I figured it out! Need to run DCS as administrator (at least once) for the hooks to work.
  17. There are templates around that you can use and all you have to do is fill out the blanks.
  18. Hi GJ !....Are you Using Necksafer ?.....Me, I have lots of Visual Freezes in the Headset while DCS is still running on my Monitor. ...When I turn off Neck Safer or Quad views, everything is fine... I am not sure , But I can have Quad views Or Neck safer on their own, bot together cause issues (for me) Hopes this helps Mate !...
  20. Hi Everyone, i have created pro files for my logitech x52 pro controller. in user files section there are so many profile files with visual referances showing the bindings on your controller as referance. i have tried generating with Chat gpt and gemini ai but not succeded. is there a software or any scrtipt that can load pro files and generate a visual refefance of the controller? or do i have to spare my precious time for each profile manually
  21. An interview with Lt. Col. Fred "Spanky" Clifton is one of the most experienced aggressor pilots ever, having flown the F-15, F-5, F-16 and the MiG-29. He speaks very favorably about many MiG-29 traits, except for the cockpit workflow, range and its nearly useless IRST. How To Win In A Dogfight: Stories From A Pilot Who Flew F-16s And MiGs  Read More: https://www.jalopnik.com/how-to-win-in-a-dogfight-stories-from-a-pilot-who-flew-1682723379/ IRST used in cold war fighters like F-101, F-102, F-106, J-35 Draken, F-4B, MiG-23, MiG-25, Su-27, F-14A, MiG-29 etc. was usefull for high altitude good weather interceptions of enemy recon planes or bombers. Absolutely not in tactical fighter air combat. For today's IRST like PIRATE to be usefull in tactical fighter air combat, breakthroughts like Focal Plane Arrays and compelx digital signal processing were needed. If modeled correctly the IRST will be of very limited use, basically a reserve interception tool in specific conditions, where radar will be jammed and weather conditions favourable, but that's the beauty of the DCS - modeling RL limitations of the systems, contrary to FC3, WT etc.
  22. George needs to get some flying lessons from the Kiowa dude, he does the same to me and its annoying as anything ad spoils what is a great module.
  23. Thank you Monty...I will try your suggestions... ~s~
  24. On my Quest Pro I have a dedicated router in the same room as my PC and headset and run virtual desktop with 10 bit HEVC at the maximum bitrate the Quest Pro supports and use adaptive quantisation and 2-pass encoding in the host side options. With that setup it runs well and the colour banding is minimal. There are still some compromises compared to a direct DP connection, though the only headset with a similar feature set and price (PSVR2) has a different set of compromises to make. I end up moving between the two depending on my mood… until I eventually decide to spring for a Pimax Crystal Super.
  25. This topic is discussed here: This raises some concerns, especially for VR users, as I've already mentioned. However, if you have a Ka-50 III module, you can test it out for yourself. If you're not using the helmet-mounted sight (it's not lowered), it doesn't work, although, as you can see in the MiG-29, it works constantly, even when you're not using the Shlem (is that a bug?). In the Ka-50, contrary to appearances, it's not terribly irritating in VR, although you can see the sensor working and it might be a bit distracting for some, but it's not as annoying as in Wags's 2D videos. I'm curious about the difference between the helmet-mounted sight in the Ka-50 and this one. There, the sensor doesn't rotate when you're not using it, while here, it rotates constantly, even when the sight is not lowered.
