As was said, i cant say if the f4u is wrong in that regard, or EDs models never took weathervaning into account. But then, the corsair is pretty large and has a huge rudder compared to other warbirds.

Thanks @paloncho. Yes, unfortunately, this would be a bug relating to DCS wingman behaviours and is not something we can control in the missions. This may have been a one off, but if you often have odd issues with the wingman, common causes may be unlicensed third-party mods installed (not including SRS or Open Kneeboard) - see Common Issues and Bugs section. Common mods like Viacom and even Tacview (sorry) are known to cause some issues in campaigns. If the problem persists, you would still be able to complete the mission for example by letting wingman engage with Mavericks and then order it to rejoin. Hope you're otherwise enjoying your deployment. Ram On!

Thanks @KENNY1988. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about these DCS wingman AI behaviour bugs. There's nothing in the mission or scripting that tells it to do this. However, looking at your Tacview, I suspect the problem is that your wingman took off almost a minute ahead you. It can confuse it making it decide to prepare for recovery (jettison full tanks and hook down). Other common causes to odd wingman behaviours can be unlicensed third-party mods installed (not including SRS or Open Kneeboard) - see Common Issues and Bugs section. If the problem persists, and it is only dropping its tanks, then I suggest you just continue the mission and let wingman be wingman. Hope you're otherwise enjoying your deployment. Ram on.

Delete your Saved Games\DCS\launcher.sqlite3 file and start DCS again. Some folk have said switching languages and saving and restarting between each time resolved. You could try that as well, otherwise delete the file I mentioned above.

Thanks @KENNY1988. Yes, @RLTick normal DCS wingman commands are given on AUX. Have a look in your campaign guide also, which explains this. It can be found in your mods/campaigns/rampagers/doc folder.

My PC died a few days ago so I can’t provide any screenshots etc. However, IIRC all I changed was to disable coreparking for all of the power profiles. This is pretty much the only thing you need to do.

I was away for a while and didn' t even notice that I got replies after all. Yes it' s true, I was using an axis für the RPM settings and never tried anything else. I thought it was fine this way ... it might explain a lot. I will try to set it to slider or use other ways and hopefully it solves the issue! Thank you all for your help!

Yes it is probably the same person doing both maps. When I fly on Afghannistan it feels somehow a bit empty/lackluster so hoping that Iraq has some more coming as I haven't got that map yet.

Yeah but then its unmanageble, at least for me. This can´t be the intention of the developer and has nothing to do with real life, since 10 kts wind is not a thunderstorm. It can´t be the solution to remove wind out of every mission.

I used the function restore to manufacturer options during a repair, which should be a clean install, and the hud bug still persists

Thank you. Better late than never. Here at the lates version of DCS, the issue is still like described in OP. I almost hate to bother you but when you work on the rudders while the artificial AP is engaged, would you mind to take a look at the ailerons too? Here is what looks bad: While moving the stick left or right and the artificial AP is engaged, the stick trembles (= minor issue to me), but with the stick the ailerons tremble as well in an amost unlimited speed. Holding the stick still in any position from full left to right stops the trembnig(s). Just moving makes stick and aileron tremble. Is it possible to fix this with the rudder issue? Good news: the elevators in with the AP on work perfectly. Thank you!

Please see my tracks. I am pretty much able to do differential braking. Easily. It only becomes a problem when wind is involved. In my last tracks i pretty much showed i can do 180 deg turns, donuts and taxi normaly with brakes only.

please include a track replay and your dcs log so the team can take a look. This could just be a RAM / pagefile issues and the terrain has not loaded. thanks

Not at these power levels. Plus, if you have an active tracker (i.e. there are LEDs on the part you are wearing) then you can disable the camera's LEDs.
