  4. Moin zusammen, ich habe da mal ein Frage. Habe gestern seit langer Zeit (ca.4 - 6 Monate) mal wieder Clusterbomben an meine Viper gehängt. Bekomme diese aber leider nicht abgeworfen. Was hat sich da denn geändert? Die anzeigen auf dem MFD sehen nun ganz anders aus als früher.
  5. I’m glad you like the campaign. I mostly create missions to fill a gap—there wasn’t much out there. They’re my style, with all their strengths and flaws. I’m happy to share them, but I get it if they’re not everyone’s cup of tea. No big deal, though—you’ve always got my blessing to tweak them and make them your own!

  7. Are you sure you are calculating the speeds correctly, i.e. accounting for winds (headwind/crosswinds), AB vs non-AB speeds, if you have any roll trim? And do you know what speed the Viper was going and what the winds were across the runway in the real-world video you posted? Side note - Real world maximum allowable takeoff GW (48000lbs) based on MLG tire limit speed is 225kts with no winds. But this number changes based on a few things like runway temp and altitude. Could go more into it but not the topic of course, just extra info. If you are still wheels on the ground at 200kts then that could mean you either pulling too early or pulling too late. Pulling too late means you need to use more runway in order to be at a speed to gain lift backb because of ground effect essentially sucking you towards the ground. Pulling too early and the horizontal stabs create drag that will again require you to be at a higher speed to compensate for the increase drag. I typically takeoff with a standard AG loadout (2x 120s, 2x 9s, 2x tanks, 4x 12s, TGP, HTS, ECM long) and depending on the winds on the server my rotate speed with AB ranges from 167-176, meaning my speed at which the main landing gear is off the ground is around 180ish close to 190ish. And thats with aiming for a 10 degree pitch. You would increase takeoff speed 8 percent for an 8 degree pitch. Im not at my computer right now cuz Im mid shift so Im at work and cant watch your track right now. If you can post your weight, winds, and if you used roll trim what your DOT of trim was, that would be helpful as I can do some math while Im waiting and when I get home I will look at your track. I haven't really noticed anything wrong but Ive been busy focusing on the Sniper so maybe I just havent noticed it lol.
  8. I reply to myself, once solved the problem, in case this could help someone in the future. The thing is that, I also noticed not only I had a problem with ICP, but also with UFC data. It was frustrating, because everything worked initially, but at some point, both devices stopped showing DCS data. The solution was given by the great support from WinWing. They connected to my computer and remotely an engineer made all possible tests with DCS and SimAppPro. The solution was to disable (or filtering), for DCS and SimAppPro, the Windows 11 FIREWALL (or any other program that blocks ports, like VPN or AdGuard. I disabled those, too, just in case). Also, I´ve noticed, that, with every SimAppPro update (yesterday there was one update), those filters in Firewall could be disabled again, so check it after every update if you notice the sim data not been shown.   9. IHADSS should show where gunner is looking at, but after the latest patch, on IHADSS, gunner is looking at empty space, but on TADS, gunner is aiming a right target. Everything works, but it is impossible for pilot to check where the gunner is looking The First image showing gunner is looking at empty field, but when I check it with VID TADS, it is aiming BTR The last image shows where the hellfire goes to the gunner's aim. Which is far away from the gunner cross-hair on IHADSS LastMissionTrack.trk

  12. Hi all! Since the last patch, the HAFU symbols in the AZ/EL are missing. Only by designating the contact it appears in the AZ/EL display. Does anybody has the same issue?

  14. Going by what I read in the Manual and the above advice looks like it is better to populate M2_1 only and just use lower M2_4_5 if required. Drat! DDR5 Ram not coming now till the 6th August .
  15. I am wondering the same. While the flight model of the DCS F16 has been improved over the past years a lot, why does it not affect the take off behavior too. Probably a separate look up table for take off behavior that was not changed according to the other flight model adjustments.
  16. The cold start training mission for the F/A-18 also occasionally shows slight HUD offset. I’ll upload a track file later. This seems to be a probabilistic issue — it doesn’t happen every time, but it’s relatively easy to reproduce. For now, my workaround is to re-align the INS every time I hot start, and I avoid switching to IFA while still on the ground, as I suspect it may be related to the issue.
  17. DCS reports attempts by mods to override existing units or ammunition types. This does not necessarily cause a crash, but it can lead to instability, especially when a mission includes conflicting objects. Recommended actions: Remove or disable any mods that are not currently in use. Update all mods, especially the following: HighDigitSAMs IJN naval mods (numerous duplicate shell definitions) A5M4 Claude, B7A Grace, Ki-27 Nate, and similar AI aircraft
  18. Someone in this video create a pink block in Blender, injected it to the cessna cockpit, then added it to MSFS. null nullThen he managed to get a nice MR blend. I understand that in DCS, one needs to use the blender EDM Exporter. Would anyone know how to something similar for DCS, taking care of the texture or mesh files in the right mod folder? This will make a nice MR result. But I am clueless about Blender and DCS texture mod. I can achieve MR using VD and OpenKneeboard. But the latter requires constant realigning with DCS virtual cockpit. Fixing a pink block merged with the cockpit in DCS then let VD do the passthrough will give us a good result like the MSFS video above. null null
  19. In fact, I was able to reproduce this issue on other multiplayer servers as well. However, the HUD offset doesn’t always occur to the same degree — sometimes it’s just a slight deviation. There was still no crosswind in the mission. During landing, I tried to place the FPM (Flight Path Marker) on the runway centerline, but the actual flight path of the aircraft was offset from the centerline.
  20. That'll work unless ED make changes to the file - then it's better to edit the new file instead of copying modded but older version.
  21. Thanks for the review! Have you tried adjusting radar settings for clutter? Sometimes tweaking those helps with ground returns.

    If you guys want specifics why not just compare the DCS F4U to descriptions from actual pilots? Spin as described by a pilot, 2000ft apparently needed to recover: And what we now have, prompt recovery and only 550 feet lost! About the same spin characteristics as a Cessna 172 which I have spun in real life several times. Spin was much more dramatic pre July 23 update. Torque as described by pilots: Torque as we now have it, aircraft in landing configuration, full throttle rapidly applied. A little bit of left yaw, no real roll. The first two I don't touch the controls, the last one I hold to show how it can be countered by just the tiniest amount of right pedal and stick. Nothing even the least experienced pilot can't handle, but apparently a fatal danger to fighter pilots? It will "turn the airplane over"? This also was much more closely aligned to testimony from real pilots before the July 23 update.

Use a map with a big magvar, launch from distance (>40nm) and observe the difference from commanded magnetic bearing and missile flight path magnetic bearing, the difference is explained in my previous comment, this leads to the target being outside of missile radar search cone.   24. Little update on this: I tried it again yesterday, without using DCS Bios. This time it worked and I could finish the mission. Maybe just a coincidence, but I found out everytime the mission freezed, DCS Bios also stopped working. I use the latest version of it and all the other missions worked fine. So I don't now if it corresponds to that.
  25. I had exactly the same, with the new Pimax Play I got a spike every few seconds, very annoying, before that it was running smooth (i9 14900 & RTX4090ti). I then uninstalled Pimax Play and installed an older version (1.29) and everything was smooth again. HOWEVER…..when I restarted the PC after playing for a while without issues, I got the message that my headset was unavailable and I couldnt connect the headset anymore. I then reinstalled the latest version of Pimax Play again, and to my amazement, all the stutters and spikes were gone!!!! Its running smooth now with the new version
