Hi Badger, I have the same problem; I drop the bombs as soon as I get the "in range" on the HUD, but they always seem to fall 200-300 meters short of the target. I make sure I'm level and with a speed of ca 400 kts. If I wait too long I'm always hit by the SAM. Any tips?

There was. It's left crtl + shft + alt + U now. It used to be only alt + U i think.

I'm still waiting for an answer as to what particular manual that is referenced in the FAQ as available on Amazon, is used in development of this aircraft for DCS. At this point it's obvious my question is just being blatantly ignored. Why is this such a hard thing for you guys at ED to answer? Seriously, all I want is to order a copy so I can read up on the material that's directly involved with the development of one of my favorite aircraft and to add it to my collection. For what reason are you keeping that a secret?

Followup...as I was searching the forums for an answer I found I posted the exact same problem July of 2024 in this thread (and you posted in it as well!): After many people reported the problem BIGNEWY ended up thanking everyone for their feedback and locking the thread with no resolution. BIGNEWY if you read this, can you please tell us what the final resolution of this is for those of us trying to run offline with no success??? I just tried to submit a new support ticket and after finishing the submission process I was directed to a DCS splash page saying "Website Under Maintenance. We are making updates please check back soon". Did my ticket get submitted or not? Why has this issue not been resolved since July of 2024 when it was first reported? What is going on? Has offline mode been disabled or something?

Apologies! I wasn't clear. You have some network issue. Probably DNS or the routing from your ISP to the validation servers. Except: You don't seem to get the 3 days grace period, which is strange. If you're scared of updating, just don't update. You're not forced, and if you use the other icon, you will never be asked to update. So, if you want to play before you solve the connection problems, (or if the problem is on ED's side, until they fix it). Just stay online, and it will never be updated until you want it to. He is waiting for a final salute. I believe there was a keybind for that (or was that just for the Tomcat?), but you can definitely find it in the Ground Crew menu.

Я вчера , с "полтинника", кидался Х-25. Норм работают. Две ракеты, с 10ти км, с паузой - в цель Пробовали светить и с наземки, и с Апача, и со второго Полтинника - не. Ка-50 работает исключительно со своим лазером и пятном. (почему - не знаю) Говорят - это уже давно (Сам себе режиссер) JTAC - тоже бесполезно. Полтинник на НАТОвские приблуды вообще внимания не обращает. Сам по себе шмаляет ... одиночка

hi, i have downloaded dcs-bios and wanted to just detect if buttons were pressed in a cockpit. i'm trying to make a .lua file that detects the button press in VR. from there i will have the .lua file talk to a plugin that make a bluetooth sound device buzz. i will then use this with the VR hands to give feedback. So there is a lot of scripts in the dcs-bios. Anyone know where i should be looking or how much of it i need? any guidance would be grateful.

Hi, I could well be being a numpty but I've taken off from the Tarawa and made my way to WP1, contacted Jaguar on the radio and am told to contact Hammer 3-5 Ground Forces - however - there is no option in the Radio Menu that I can see to do so. The mission fails shortly afterwards if you fail to contact them. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Thanks

Haven't played DCS in about a year, so I think I missed an update in the take off procedure. I get stuck right after I raise my trailer hook, a guy is just waving his arm at me and I cant figure out what to do. Im just stuck there right at the end of the hookup sequence and a guy is just waving at me. I try saluting, try asking ATC for launch... Seems like I never ran into this before. Any advise?

Скажите а навигация, полёт по маршруту работает нормально в су-25? Пытаюсь выполнить ночную миссию где нужно разбомбить танки на аэродроме. Там вроде как нужно на аэропорт выходить по маршрутной точке номер 1. Однако если выставляешь эту маршрутную точку и задаёшь автопилот то самолёт улетает куда-то далеко не туда, видимо даже прямо противоположную сторону летит.

Там на октябрь Геркулес прицелился. Обычно в один месяц два пипелаца не выкатывают.

The problem is the sequence of the advanced actions. Holding is basically infinite, as you haven't set an end condition to the task "HOLD", so they will never switch to the ROE rule. To fix the issue, give infinite actions an end condition, put actions that are infinite at the last position in the sequence or actions that get completed quickly in first place. In case of this mission: ROE = Weapons HOLD HOLD Disperse Under Fire = OFF Or put "HOLD" at the very end like this: ROE = Weapons HOLD Disperse Under Fire = OFF HOLD

While editing a cockpit familiarization mission, I became aware that the battery run out after 15 minutes of operation when the main engine is off. The manual of the real aircraft says that the endurance should be at least half hour (mentioned on the Generator failure section). If I connect external electric power, then the battery does not run out, however, the aircraft seems unable to operate with just Ground Power, the battery switch has to be at ON at all times. This does not correspond to what the manual of the real aircraft says: "Power may be supplied by one of three sources: the 75A Generator, the 24V 17 Ah battery, or the external power receptacle".

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately just tried running DCS.exe directly rather than DCS_updater.exe but same result when I got in. Offline Mode Icon lead to Popup window error code 500 then 401.

Hi, thanks for the tip, however I only employ the LUA Console of the DCS-BIOS software, and that component seems to be working with no issues, my latest Module (the F-4U) is recognized. Perhaps other parts of the DCS-BIOS don't work nowadays, but for my needs I will keep using it until it actually does not work anylonger.
