Характерный значит свойственный. В зависимости от самолёта (читай условий, в которых он обычно находится) и периода времени можно подобрать вариант.

148th Rogues North America Mission Squadron
Decker replied to Tom P's topic in General DCS Squadrons
For a NA group it appears there are a lot of foreign pilots, at least in call signs. Do you offer a carrier based hornet squadron? As a hornet carrier ops sim vet, Sunday night is the only time I could participate. Would you consider running Friday's same mission on Sunday pm? -

reported edCore.dll Crash - b2DynamicTree::RemoveLeaf + 0xBB
Crim replied to Heart8reaker's topic in Game Crash
Hi everyone. I've encountered with same issues. Some online servers on Syria map can cause such CTD. But nothing while playing Caucasus or Persian gulf map. # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 00007ffbd7744cdb 00:00000000 SymInit: Symbol-SearchPath: '.', symOptions: 532, UserName: 'xeldu' OS-Version: 10.0.26100 () 0x100-0x1 0x0000000000024cdb (edCore): b2DynamicTree::RemoveLeaf + 0xBB 0x0000000000024656 (edCore): b2DynamicTree::MoveProxy + 0xB6 0x000000000003e6b4 (Effects): Effects::loadShipWakeConfig + 0x2304 0x000000000003efae (Effects): Effects::loadShipWakeConfig + 0x2BFE 0x000000000016a281 (Visualizer): smSceneManager::DestroySceneManager + 0x11261 0x0000000000170f4b (Visualizer): smSceneManager::regLua + 0x61BB 0x000000000015595c (Visualizer): smCamera_Implement::getClipRegion + 0x1C3BC 0x000000000013f74c (Visualizer): smCamera_Implement::getClipRegion + 0x61AC 0x000000000015a242 (Visualizer): smSceneManager::DestroySceneManager + 0x1222 0x0000000000033171 (edCore): ed::thread::_get_current_thread_id + 0x71 0x00000000000037b0 (ucrtbase): wcsrchr + 0x150 0x000000000002e8d7 (KERNEL32): BaseThreadInitThunk + 0x17 I don't know if it will help, but log analyzer also gave me the next info: Windows Error Reporting (WER) Kernel Events The following kernel-events have been detected: VIDEO_ENGINE_TIMEOUT_DETECTED,VIDEO_DXGKRNL_BLACK_SCREEN_LIVEDUMP,VIDEO_MINIPORT_BLACK_SCREEN_LIVEDUMP Remove any overclocking (including XMP). I hear you but being a simulator we are in a digital not analogue world so go a tad over and bang! I had my own issues with this but resolved it by flying with all engine/oil cooling flaps slightly open. My biggest gripe was on the last time it seized, I hit the escape key to freeze everything. When I checked all the temperature gauges, none of them were showing anything overheating. Now only if I could shoot something down now that it stopped overheating. LouP

Today I got stuck in M03, when my Wingman was tasked with destroying the tank (after the gundish task and I had no GBUs left). His first GBU-12 hit and he was tasked to re-attack. But instead the wingman ist just circling. The mission then is completely stuck.

Whats the concensus on this map after the recent August big update?
AW139 replied to Canada_Moose's topic in DCS: Afghanistan
I was there in 2011-2014 as well (Jalalabad and Mazar Sharif), and it looks decent for that time. Honestly only really looked at Jalalabad and Bagram, but they are pretty close to what I remember. Jalalabad is fairly accurate, but the FARP placement and setup is kind off off. On the upside they modeled the controlled detonation pit near the end of the runway where an EOD guy decided to try to kill me one day as I was flying over top. -
The VKB STECS also has (quick switch) detents, dual throttles, configurable throttle stiffness and indeed a ton more controls. Having so many is not just a benefit in being able to map more stuff, but also that you have more choices in what kind of control you map to what function, and what location you pick. For example, I mapped 'eject' to a recessed button that is right under my finger, but also very hard to accidentally press. I use the other recessed button for 'jettison', which similarly is not something I want to do by accident, but which you may want to do quickly. Having many buttons of different types, gives you that sort of options. The STECS not designed to mimic a specific airplane. If you take the spring out of the white up/down lever on the button box (STEM) of the STECS, then you can configure it in the software to be an axis, that you can use for zoom. The Virpil CDT VMax has axis dials that should work for that purpose too. Although I'm always a bit wary about recommending products that are only available for pre-order, as we can only judge their promises, not what they actually deliver. Then again, it is Virpil, so the quality tends to be fine, but not so much the delivery times. Given the very limited number of controls, it seems rather overpriced for what you get. And I doubt that it is really higher quality than the top options of VKB and Virpil. At most there is less to break because it is missing so many features. I just watched a teardown, and it has pots, which tend to have jitter, which wear out and suffer from dirt. It also has plastic sliding on plastic, while the high end throttles have proper mechanical levers. With the plastic sliders, they had to choose between minimizing the stiction or having the throttle actually have a decent amount of friction. They chose the former, which is the least bad option, but not being able to have both is due to the subpar technology being used. My experience as an engineer is that a lot of people are very bad at judging actual quality, and they tend to judge things as quality just because some part of the product appears impressive to them, even when the quality is actually quite subpar. A lot of people also have experience with few products and often not the best quality gear, so they don't know how good it can be. For example, I think that if you actually move a STECS or Virpil throttle, you will notice that the feel is so much better than the CH Pro. The CH Pro surely was a good product for the 90's, but it's decades later now and better stuff is available. The Moza throttle doesn't have FFB, just vibration. Only their joystick base is anything special, IMO. Their grips are not very good. So I would definitely mix-and-match if you go for the Moza base.

If the situation with ED and Razbam can be resolved such that I feel safe spending money on DCS again, I would be willing to purchase a "Sweden Assets Pack" in order to pay a reasonable price for AI J-35, JA-37, SF-37, SH-37, etc. 1/72 scale AJ-37 and SK-37s were on my last purchase of model kits...To go with the 1/72 Heller JA-37 that I will probably never get around to building...

Bug reports. if you're failing to launch a missile is that a bug or a realistic failure? Someone who doesn't rtfm will figure it's a bug.

Further to last, Canted Rendering gives be a much better sweet spot and is a plus for me. Mileage may vary for others, but it I always fly with Canted Rendering on now for much better visuals. I did not immediately notice the improvement when I first tried it because I was so focused on checking the edges of my vision expecting a wider FOV. Happy landings, Talisman

I don't have any 'hard' evidence that I can post to conclusively say one way or the other, but my feelings are the same. I've been reading various war diaries, books, combat reports from the archives, and don't recall ever hearing a report of engines seizing, but you do find words like 'reliable' and 'indestructible' to describe the engine. The temperature gauges remind me of the DCS F-14 or the F-5, where the manuals give a max g of 7.5, and if you hit 7.50001 g the wings catastrophically rip off. Here if you touch red, the engine seizes.

Any news on the A6 AI that was shown off in-game over a year ago?
RustBelt replied to XCNuse's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Neither do they really. Until it’s done, it’s just hopes and guesswork when it will be done. The real world is just as complex as writing an accurate progress bar. -
Just did the same... some great skins there

F-14B Afterburner Problem with DCS 2.9.6.57650
RustBelt replied to DP Spaz's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I feel like the forum has a lot of evidence to the contrary. -
Probably not, but I’m hoping it works as well with modded weapons as the FC3.. Many servers allow you to carry AGM-88 and PL-12.

I clicked one of the links above to try and find your work in the library but it showed an error. Also any chance for some US Navy versions? VFA 106 in the 4xx series to match our C hornet.

Correct, this one gets me every now and then as well. I’m getting better about it. Follow the dive checklist from the POH prior to entering the dive, and it has you consciously close them, which helps to remember to reopen them after the dive is complete.
