On the AChS-1M watch The hands of the stopwatch are dark and very hard to read against the background of the dark dial. They are almost invisible in VR. Would you please make the stopwatch hands more contrasting? Thanks null

Hey @MKdabess, I see this is your first post on the forum. I was drawn back here myself because of the new releases, and I couldn’t help but notice your post. Just to let you know, there have been several attempts to get the developers to review the missile’s performance, but so far they have been unsuccessful. The available sources about the AIM-54 are very inconclusive; many of them contradict each other and can easily be interpreted to “confirm” opposing points of view (some claim the missile was faster, others say it was slower — and all of them are official sources). and this inconsistency is always used to validate the point that is favorable to the argument being defended. What we tried instead was applying pure mathematics and rocket-engine engineering principles. Another forum member with extensive experience in this area demonstrated mathematically and physically that the in-game missile does not behave as it should. He even created a missile-launch calculator showing how the missile’s performance ought to look. The Phoenix had a very distinctive combustion chamber, which produced different thrust levels at different altitudes/pressures due to its grain design (you can find this in the locked thread where we tried to discuss it). In theory, the in-game missile should perform better at higher altitudes than it currently does and maybe a little worse on low altitudes. Also The developers have said that the missile is stuck using an older API and that there’s nothing they can do to improve it for now. The source for the engine thrust data used by developers is also unavailable (it’s said to be classified, and we’re expected to accept that ). I felt compelled to leave this brief summary here, and I wish you the best of luck on your journey. I’m sorry that you expected one quality of product and ended up receiving something different. Because of personal and health issues, I’ve stepped away from this discussion to make the missile more realistic. From what I understand, this effort has since been taken up on the Russian side of the forum and and I didn't follow up anymore. (If I'm not mistaken, at some point, the weapons control part went straight to ED, rather than remaining in the hands of third-party developers.) If you’re interested, look for a user named Tavarish Palkovnik — he has been actively involved in this discussion and kindly provided us with excellent quality material. Just to give you some context, I am posting here a file containing the engine thrust calculations based on engine blueprint so you can get an idea of how far he have gone: (All credits to Tavarish Palkovnik for this) My best regards. pk AIM-54 k=1,2 Rev.pdf

Thanks for being right on this! I did this 4 times today, and thought I was really messing something up. It's always something with software, fix one bug create two more...

So one thing I don't like about the real life MiG-29 is that when you lock a target and you want to employ missiles, instead of like on other 4rth gen fighters (or the FC3 MiG-29s) where you would get a box, or circle, or a dot (or some other icon) highlighting the target directly on your HUD you instead have have a steering circle, and a diamond to show where the radar is pointing, and this diamond does not adjust for the roll of your aircraft if your trying to follow it. like in the picture below. This means that sometimes your not sure which target you've locked for certain, and it takes a fair bit of time and guess work to determine if the speck your looking at is the one you locked, especially if your firing into a furball environment. HOWEVER** There is a work around. You do get a circle highlighting the actual target when you pull the trigger into the first detent like if you were employing guns if you have a current radar lock, and your inside a certain distance. typically outside of 50km you will just get the gun funnel if you press the first detent. However if you close to within 30km it will flicker from the gun funnel to the circle with the locked target. Then once inside 30km you will just get the circle around the locked target like in the picture below: This is currently handy if you want to actually know where on the hud is the actual target that you locked up is. Now I'm not sure if this is a current bug, and the ranges are way off for this to appear, or if this is something that actually was possible with the system, and could be used as a work around. Interested to see.

It is just unfinished and all effected by range scales Normally cursor is 8 degrees wide 5 km long With TWS is 8 degrees wide and 10 km With scales changing from 50-150 km. You can see what happens

you're not looking close enough - put it in combat relative bearing he manuevers, turns further than the gimbal permits -- missile still tracks -
good call, if you turn it off, how does it show up on the kneeboard then ?
