Alright, something has changed. Can't say if this is related to switching to Quad Views or if it has something to do with the latest changes to SteamVR. SteamVR beta 2.13.1: - Reduced memory usage for user interface textures (improved performance) Since that update i never had the problem again, i can always switch to SteamVR dashboard without going into 2 FPS mode or DCS crashing, even after long sessions. -

iirc,u switch to IFA only if there is gps available so the GPS can keep updating ur INS position,since ur mission is in 1989,so no gps in ur mission,u need to keep it in NAV after alignment. But if it initialized as IFA mode for hot/inflight start by default in non-gps era I think that's a bit odd.- 1 reply

after watching ur video tweak i set to 0.4 and set executable to run admin help a bit, but turning mirrors on ground gains back fps would suggest to u to disable full screen optimaizations along with your tweaks thanks for tweak guides

hi Masterofzen! First, I want to make a enterelly new ground crew system, with modular models, more details, better animations, etc. Second, For the moment the animations are triggered by red or green state. This means, a two position possible,the rest and the sign. So, its not possible, with this mechanism, that one single object make 3 different animations.- 535 replies

The INS were initialized as IFA mode by default and stays in the QUAL: 0.5 OK state and won't continue to work as POS/AINS in the stock Campaign (Both the vanilla version and the supercarrier version). In order to make it work I have to turn back to NAV mode again upon each mission start otherwise the navigation and weapon designation will degrade at unacceptable rate as the flight progress advances. Is it a bug or what is the correct way to work with IFA.

I love my honeycomb throttle and yoke I got for the civi sim but it looks like there’s some good ffb options now.

If I have the Orion2 Viper Ace and Orion2 Navy Ace, can I just change throttles when changing from the F18 to the F16 and back when I change jets without having to reprogram the controls in DCS?

Of course, it's just a detail but for me it's very characteristic of this plane. Applying the same effect to all aircrafts in DCS is inaccurate because it does not occur at the same frequency and it looks different depending on wing design. Here are some direct comparisons below. F-35 in formation with an f-16 at the end of the video. No vortices for the F-16 F-22 in formation with the f-35, not trail on the F-22: F-22, A-10, F-15 and F-35 in formation:

Nearly certain it's related to wind - too much weathervane effect (and maybe not enough tire friction). It's been discussed a lot in the past 4 pages of this thread... It's simple to test, just make a mission with 0 wind at the surface, taxi around. Then change the wind to 5 knots, notice how it's harder to turn. Then make one with 10 kts or greater and notice it's impossible to do a 180 degree turn, you'll hit your limit around 90 degrees to where the wind is coming from. it's a bug in my opinion, really hoping the devs look at it ASAP. -

Player/client helo doesn't need any advanced waypoint/trigger settings. Only the ground troops need "embark to transport," set to desired vehicle type; I find that "any" doesn't work particularly well. Land within the set radius of the troops, in the comms menu you should see F7 "airborne troops." Inside that will be the group name of those troops. -
I can imagine. Everyone says "green" but to my eyes it's clearly a dark shade of cyan blue.

The whole Amazon manual thing is just plausible deniability. Those two manuals are not enough to make a module. They are using every source they can, but saying they are using Amazon manuals to not receive un welcome attention from the government and accusations of using sensitive information. ED since being founded has no doubt accumulated a vast wealth of MiG-29 information from all over the place. But with recent developments of course they have to be careful when making a plane certain countries still use in active service or used until recently. They also don’t really read the forums. That’s for community managers and for them to pass on any info. Especially the English forums. And with MiG-29 team busy, community managers aren’t going to get every question answered with unfettered access.

I'd like to request the ability to adjust the NVG 'window' up and down. In options we can 'Night Vision Goggles Gain-Increase' and 'Night Vision Goggles Gain-Decrease' (which one cannot do with the ANVIS-6 and ANVIS-9 systems I've worked with), but we cannot move the tubes up so they don't impede viewing of the panel and/or glancing outside 'unaided' (which is a mechanical adjustment that is key to proper NVG use). One of the very first things I learned about flying with NVGs is to adjust the shelf height to allow clear viewing of the panel and good field of vision under the tubes 'unaided'. There was/is a mod that allows NVG adjustments that's almost a half-decade old (by Tacca). Two problems with it are a). It's a mod that shouldn't be necessary and breaks on updates, and b). it also allowed a full-screen NVG effect (which is a bit of a cheat). I understand helicopter night flying isn't the bread and butter of your sim. All I'd ask is controls to move the NVG 'window' (which looks quite good, I might add) up or down in the field of view. Thank you for your consideration.
