Ah, true unfortunately. Licensing is a bitch! Companies should rather see this as free advertising. Pretty sure no one required licenses back in the 80s/90s. I wonder how Corgi and Matchbox dealt with this. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk -

For one, the 3D models must have been created by those guys or if purchased elsewhere their license would have to allow royalty free use for ED, for two, you would need to get licenses from Boeing or Airbus, which probably are not cheap. We, as simple dcs users, probably can’t imagine the amount of resources needed to add such assets to the Sim. -

Looking for some help with programming the stream deck for use in Multiplayer mode if possible? When I try to start it asks me for a Server IP and port number. Also how do you program the buttons? Like -artillery, .00000000001 so I don't have to contsantly type it in, just press the button and away it goes... Thanks

pretty much 3 sheets of 2400x1200 and 1 sheet of 1200 x 1200. Yeah I was cutting out by jigsaw but decided to go the CNC route. I had some files in dxf format as that is what the local CNC shop needed But others will take the svg files no problems. It was cheaper than printing out a hornet build . Not too expensive.

Hola te escribi en post en el repositorio de github en issue. Gracias -
Agreed, there seems to be some kind of inconsistency which ends up making CCIP/CCRP inaccurate sometimes. I've had some instances where the marker seems to be showing the correct impact point, but then it gets messed up when flying over mountains/hills. Then, when going back to flat terrain, it is still messed up as if it won't revert back to the correct impact point. When spawning mid-air in Mission Editor with bombs, I can consistently drop them on target and the CCIP marker is accurate. But when I try that in multiplayer, by the time I get to the target, it usually seems the CCIP is inaccurate by that point. So any weapon that uses the bomb drop CCIP/CCRP marker seems to be affected. Rockets and gun seem to work well for me consistently.

Thank you for this. I tried it with my Super and while there is still some significant work needed it now is much better. Makes night missions not only possible but enjoyable. I am not sure if it is entirely a Pimax specific issue some of it though, as I see similar issues with local dimming in my Quest Pro and night missions.

DCS, the REDFOR imbalance and Flankers
Silver_Dragon replied to cailean_556's topic in DCS Core Wish List
It seems that some people don't understand how the world works today... When ED made the Ka-50 in 2008, Kamov herself collaborated in its development... but of course, later Moscow put in place a draconian "official secrets law," to such a level that when the Russian government classifies some people as "foreign agents" and can put you in a court for it simply for posting information about the manufacturer on a website, you could end up in jail, especially with Russia having been in an open war for the past 3 years. Imagine what could happen (taking into account that since 2022, a good part of the ED team has left Russia, going to other countries, "just in case"). And let's keep in mind that ED is covering its back a lot, lest it end up like a developer, some years ago, who ended up on trial and in jail in the US, simply for trying to sell a manual for an American aircraft outside the US (Bay ITAR law). Remember that the information on the MiG-29A IS NOT RUSSIAN, it's from another country... and as I repeated before, if even a module of an Ka-50/Mi-8/Mi-24, etc., is banned in Russia by military contractors, imagine what could happen... Coming here to make comparisons as "open sources" between the West and the East simply doesn't understand the scale of the problem... -

Does this occur on Single Player as well, or only multiplayer? Does this only occur when moving your mouse? In the case of the mouse drop the polling rate of your mouse to below 500. You also have Winwing MFDs. Can you ensure that you aren't running DCS as administrator. You can confirm this by right-clicking on both your DCS shortcut, and your DCS.exe file, and after selecting Properties check under the Compatibility tab to ensure that "Run as administrator" is not ticked. You're also running DCS from the bin-mt directory. Run it from bin instead. They're both multithreaded and bin-mt will be removed in the future. You also appear to have kneeboard files with errors, mods? Remove / fix those as well. 2025-09-30 14:50:43.264 ERROR Lua::Config (Main): load error C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/1.lua:[string "C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/1.lua"]:17: attempt to index global 'mdc' (a nil value). 2025-09-30 14:50:43.264 ERROR Lua::Config (Main): load error C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-02.lua:[string "C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-02.lua"]:18: attempt to index global 'mdc' (a nil value). 2025-09-30 14:50:43.265 ERROR Lua::Config (Main): load error C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-03.lua:[string "C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-03.lua"]:12: attempt to index global 'mdc' (a nil value). 2025-09-30 14:50:43.266 ERROR Lua::Config (Main): load error C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-04.lua:[string "C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-04.lua"]:19: attempt to index global 'mdc' (a nil value). 2025-09-30 14:50:43.266 ERROR Lua::Config (Main): load error C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-05.lua:[string "C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-05.lua"]:20: attempt to index global 'mdc' (a nil value). 2025-09-30 14:50:43.267 ERROR Lua::Config (Main): load error C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-06.lua:[string "C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-06.lua"]:16: attempt to index global 'mdc' (a nil value). 2025-09-30 14:50:43.267 ERROR Lua::Config (Main): load error C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-07.lua:[string "C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-07.lua"]:12: attempt to index global 'mdc' (a nil value). 2025-09-30 14:50:43.268 ERROR Lua::Config (Main): load error C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-08.lua:[string "C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-08.lua"]:19: attempt to index global 'mdc' (a nil value). 2025-09-30 14:50:43.269 ERROR Lua::Config (Main): load error C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-09.lua:[string "C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-09.lua"]:9: attempt to index global 'mdc' (a nil value). 2025-09-30 14:50:43.269 ERROR Lua::Config (Main): load error C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-10.lua:[string "C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-10.lua"]:9: attempt to index global 'mdc' (a nil value). 2025-09-30 14:50:43.270 ERROR Lua::Config (Main): load error C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-11.lua:[string "C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-11.lua"]:9: attempt to index global 'mdc' (a nil value). 2025-09-30 14:50:43.270 ERROR Lua::Config (Main): load error C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-12.lua:[string "C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-12.lua"]:9: attempt to index global 'mdc' (a nil value). 2025-09-30 14:50:43.271 ERROR Lua::Config (Main): load error C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-13.lua:[string "C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-13.lua"]:9: attempt to index global 'mdc' (a nil value). 2025-09-30 14:50:43.271 ERROR Lua::Config (Main): load error C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-14.lua:[string "C:\Users\uluka\Saved Games\DCS\KNEEBOARD/2-14.lua"]:9: attempt to index global 'mdc' (a nil value). DCS, the REDFOR imbalance and Flankers
cailean_556 replied to cailean_556's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I've said this to both NineLine and BIGNEWY on occasion where we've spoken - DCS needs to rein in its timeline. Preferrably 1946-2000. Just having a date range like that does 3 things: 1. This date encompasses the fall of the Berlin Wall, the collapse of the Soviet Union, all major post-WW2 conflicts (minus the GWoT and ISIS) and allows for some of the more advanced weapons and systems (like the R-77 and AIM-120s) 2. It gives developers a robust timeframe to select aircraft to simulate - none of which upset the apple cart *that* much... 3. It manages the expectations of players as to what aircraft could be in DCS, and what can't. This whole ED/RAZBAM thing is extremely disappointing - from both sides. That has cost us, the customer, among many other things: a MiG-23. Not a Flanker, but still a very iconic Soviet-era fighter/interceptor. I'm sure someone, somewhere, has comparable info and could make a MiG-23 module for DCS but we had one right on our doorstep, but business and personalities got in the way - and the customer lost. With India (finally) retiring their MiG-21UPG (Bison), and their MiG-27MLs having been retired long before that, maybe somewhere down the line, we'll see a UPG and an Indian-based MiG-27 in future - before the documentation gets officially 'archived'. If the Fitter is coming to DCS, REDFORs frontline attack aircraft capability is going to increase substantially. A MiG-27 would only bolster that. Now...back to the Flanker... The 'Russian security laws' argument is a curly one. It sort of stops at the MiG-29A, and in how ED have discussed what their sources and resources are for developing the F-35... The MiG-29A exists so, clearly, there's a way and means to produce Russian-based modules. I suppose, for Russian aircraft, it comes down to what, and how old it is. And, of course, money. If there is any company that has enough 'acquired knowledge' to develop even a reasonably accurate full-fidelity Flanker, it's ED. They literally built their business on the back of the Flanker series. The sensitivity of high-end Flankers and their capabilities are understandable from Russia's point of view, which is why I believe they (the Russian government) wouldn't blink at a late 80s Su-27S, and will be equally as uncaring at the prospect of a 20-year-old export Flanker variant that, after modernisation upgrades in recent years, probably doesn't exist anymore in reality (i.e. the Su-30MKK were either replaced by MK2 or J-11BS - or were upgraded beyond the original standard to the point what they were and what they are now is chalk and cheese in comparison - speculation on my part, I haven't done the research to verify that). I am very familiar with the Codename Flanker mod, and a few members of their team. Believe me - if I had the money to burn, they'd be funded in full. I didn't win the $8 million lottery last night, so I just have to keep on trying... But once I do - I'd be happy to part with $2M (the assumed cost of developing a module) to bring a Su-30MKI to DCS. As for improving global international relations...that's the easy part. All we need is either hyper-advanced aliens to reveal themselves and say they want nothing to do with us if we keep doing what we're doing, or a being calling itself 'God' needs to reveal itself and bring its followers into line. So, of the options available, what livery would you like to see on your Su-30MKK? -

Cyclic trimmer not working correctly in instant mode

Just train the speech recognition some more, or add Whisper to it. It uses AI and is much better. That's the beauty of VAICOM, hence why I mentioned it. It circumvents the radio menu, (I actually have it hidden), and communicates directly with DCS, so that is not a problem. You will quickly learn and remember them the more you use it. Like I wrote, VAICOM is free, you should give it a go. Maybe it works with VAICOM. VAICOM works with some radio commands that are not in the menu. Like you can refuel on the ground without bringing up the refuel/rearm GUI. Also, VAICOM does not push buttons. One uses ordinary VoiceAttack commands/profiles for that. Cheers!

Currently when trimmer is pressed only the stick position moves while trim position stays in place, this is visible on the input overlay. When the trimmer is released the trim position is moved to the current stick position over a few frames. I'm not sure if there's a jolt because of it when using a spring loaded joystick, but with FFB joystick this causes a strong jolt of force as the stick tries to jump back to the old trim position and follow it over the few frames to the new position. A fix for this would be the trim position constantly following the stick position while the trimmer button is depressed.
