But no one "stole" it from you, its developer went out of business. Its the same as if you purchase a new car and a few years after its maker folds, after a time you can't purchase some spare parts for it, and in the long term it stops to function, its a risk we take when we purchase things .. would you say that the car company "stole" it from you? ... if you truly believe that then you should call the police and report the theft.

Pre purchasing mig29A supposed to take this long?
draconus replied to DocSigma's topic in Payment and Activation
You mean the paymant was not successful? No order and license confirmation e-mails? Contact support then: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/ Otherwise if you already paid for the preorder you have to wait for the actual module release (and update DCS) which did not happened yet. -

There's a good chance an L-39 v2 will come out, just like the A-10C v2 and Ka-50 v3. That's why this won't be fixed any time soon.

wow, i began this thread way back in 2022...and it's still broken. thats insane

Hello, In spite that many systems are not fully modeled, I found that it was possible to edit a fairly complete Cold Start training mission, like this: If you want to try the mission yourself (requires the Modern Marianas Map), here is a download link: F-104C - Training - M01 Cold Start (by Rudel_chw).miz I will next edit a Taxi & Take-Off follow up mission, and then a VFR landing one, to get a proper training set. If you find a bug with the mission, please let me know here and I will do my best to fix it.

If you're buying a new motherboard, go AMD. I've swapped, and I bought my first AMD CPU ever. 9800X3d is a monster and runs cooler than my 13700K ever did (both with the same size water coolers). The latest Intels are hardly any faster than a 13 series but use even more power. Consider the PSVR2 - it does well in DCS and can now support foveated rendering which, I agree, is a fantastic way to boost performance without extra hardware cost. I run a 4080 (don't judge my decision on that, the insurance company paid for it) and I'm very happy indeed with my VR setup. Can it be bettered? I'm sure it can - but the price/performance is excellent compared with the new gen of micro-oled HMDs. No, I don't want to go back to no stinking LCD :D

I haven't flown this bird since it first came out and the ffb was really messed up. Seeing as I only have a ffb stick I put the plane back into the hangar. Anyone with a ffb stick know if they've finally brought it up to snuff in any of the latest updates? Thanks

There's some trial and error with positioning/angling the 2D plane within OpenKneeBoard. Then start with something like our grid in KneeboardFiles.zip above. With the grid there, you can more easily figure out how your final 2D plane needs to be shaped. Hope that makes sense.

Maneuvering On The Ground With Differential Braking
Cgjunk2 replied to AG-51_Razor's topic in Bugs and Problems
I’ve read the thread title, the thread, and the OPs clarification of what was intended in original post. I believe I’m in total agreement with your understanding of the thread’s focus. As the thread progressed, it became clear that differential braking wasn’t the cause of the problem as some proposed. Differential braking just revealed how inaccurate the tailwheel was behaving. This is because in real life, a short jab on differential brakes would lead any taildragger to swing the tail around with it’s own momentum. So that said, it’s fair to say diff braking isn’t the cause, but a good way to *demonstrate* how badly the tailwheel steering is acting . Please understand I’m not claiming any policing authority when I say the following. Crosswinds cannot be a contributing factor to the problem when there are no crosswinds. However, it stands to reason that if the tailwheel doesn’t steer as expected in zero-wind, it will be even worse with crosswinds. That’s why I think we can conclude that crosswind behavior is a symptom, not a contributing factor to the cause. After the tailwheel behavior is fixed, then it becomes possible to assess if crosswinds are unduly affecting ground handling. And if that’s the case, then it would be clear the problem is related to aerodynamic modeling, (because the core physics modeling of tailwheel has been fixed) Edit to clarify: Maybe this disagreement is about how we are using terms. Do you mean to say that crosswinds can be a contributing causal factor for “loss of control” while taxiing? Because I agree with that. What I meant to communicate in my posts is that crosswinds aren’t one of the causes of the incorrect tailwheel behavior (which leads to loss of control in crosswinds). Sometimes I end up less understandable when I try to explain myself lol, so apologies if that’s the case -
PSVR2 - now works with Eye Tracking and Quad Views!

I definitely prefer my PSVR2 over my old Reverb G2. If I had a Quest Pro I wouldn't have needed to move away from WMR so I'd probably still be using it. But we're comparing a $1500 headset from 2022 with a $550 one from 2023. What I'd really like to see is a comparison with Quest 3 now that PSVR2 can run at higher Super Sampling with DFR I don't see the PSVR2 as cheap, either. The halo setup is ideal IMO and the gasket is awesome. It blocks light extremely well without any pressure. I find it alot more comfortable than the Reverb G2. The reason we get the PSVR2 so cheap right now is the PS5 community didn't buy many - possibly because it cost more than the console itself - and Sony dumped it on the PC market after a couple of years of poor sales. Ultimately neither headset achieved the success their manufacturers hoped for, but they're both interesting options at 2025 prices. Anyway, I guess this is all off topic. DFR works, and works really well! -

I built my F-14A in 1/72 scale, so, uhmmmm... I did nothing and left it clear.
-
As fascinating as the Yak-38 is, I really can't see it coming to DCS, never mind being some sort of 'saviour' for it. I suspect that finding adequate documentation would be problematic, and its operational capabilities seem to have been rather limited.

Did some recent update broke elevator trim in P-51D?
milo85 replied to milo85's topic in General Bugs
@-Cipher- Thanks .trk file. Yup, on your plane trim is sensitive, just like it used to be mine. I've attached mine, you can see how stable the plane is even if I move the trim from one extreme to another. What kind of setting should I have for FF? I've checked what I have for "Elevator Trim - axis" in FF Tune, and I have exactly the same stuff as for all other axes that work just fine. P51D-useless-elevator-trim.trk -

Qcumber replied to proxlamus's topic in Virtual Reality
I've tried it and unfortunately it's not for me. I am sending it back. I am not saying it's bad headset and it will be a good upgrade for many users. However, I think the Quest Pro is a better option IF you can get one for a decent price. I paid £300 for my mine. I was lucky to get such a good deal for a mint headset that had hardly been used. There are still some bargains. -
