  1. Past hour
  2. Let me know if the shortcut key doesn’t work after you enable “controllerless mode.”
  3. I asked the team for a better explanation, 1. Lamps indicate IGNITION (right and left), 2. At 35% N2 right ignition switches off, lamp off. 3. At 50% N2 left ignition switches on, lamp on, APU disconnects from right engine and starts idling. 4. After approximately 10 seconds, left engine starts to spool-up. The main thing to note here, using the lamps to judge if the start up sequence is correct is not a good way to go. Basically the time between two lamps does not correspond to timing in manual. This is the time engine spools-up from 35 to 50%. I hope that helps explain why we are confident the timings for the engines are correct in DCS. thank you
  4. I have been landing and taking off from Holzdorf's aux grass strip without any issues. Even with a full tank and A/G ordnance she'll take off in military just fine. A grass runway is never unprepared. Quite the contrary.
  5. I reported this in the ED Discord as well. Latest update is that they’ve replicated the issue, it’s been reported, and they’ll be looking into it.
  6. You can thank him by marking his post as solution, instead of yours. Since he actually provided the solution
  7. After some time spend in DCS and Optiscaler, I found that its good for freeflight, but definitely not for ACM combat. At BVR, can be used (with distant missile trails also blured a bit). In A-G without TGP optics, it blures units edges to much. At this time, Im considering if I want to still play such a hidious looking game anymore....
  8. Second this. Fade in/out trim is by far the best trim (at least in my opinion) for flying helicopters. All DCS helicopters should have fade in/out.
  9. No I did that. Waiting 30-40 seconds doesn't work if I do all the switches at once with the cage. I also never disable the main gyro switch, as that is usually an extra step for testing, and I'm looking at doing the fastest startup scramble time as possible, which means I'm trying to get the Gyros warmed and aligned, the AFCS damper test done, and the fast alignment completed all at the same time, which In theory should happen if I use the cage.
  10. I am confused. You mention you know differential stabilator is shut off with lowered LEF then mention that they are only roll? They are not, above 24 degrees you still have +/-5 degree aileron deflection. Yes the aileron rudder crossover should be modeled for high AOA. Understand that any “ARM-150” actuator is reserved for dampener system as they are the fastest actuators available. For example stabilizer ARM-150 has 3 degrees authority. The aileron-rudder crossover box is simply high jacking this actuator to reduce adverse yaw/roll reversal, which is the reason it was added in order to make MiG-29 safe to fly at such high AOA.
  11. Worked like a charm. Although I firstly tried renaming the missioneditor, i backwardly tested if deleting just news.lua would be enough. It was enough. Thank you sir. news.lua
  12. I mean a big part is Lazur that is confirmed to come later.,
  13. CCIP CCRP the HUD is a mix of 2000C and 18C
  14. It’s just a MiG-23 port that’s why. You can also use KMOD ranging with IRST by using target acquisition depress. But soon IRST should get radar ranging.
  15. Yes AOA vane freeze is a real thing but I doubt the Mikoyan design bureau didn't take into account the operating temperature on the Mig29. With a stuck AOA sensor, you're not able to perform high AOA turns, best rate turn, and also AFCS protections stop working.

    Avvio F16

  17. Speedbrake in the fulcrum only stays extended for as long as you hold the speedbrake button, it retracts as soon as you release it.
  18. Today
  19. Hi, I have edited your post to remove the attached documents, please send them via PM as I am not sure if they break our 1.16 forum rule. thank you
  20. As is known, at the AOA where the leading edge flaps are lowered, the differential stabilator is switched off. Above 18 deg AOA the aileron deflection angle starts to decrease and at max AOA it is only +/-5 deg. So at max AOA the only control surfaces generating roll is +/-5 deg ailerons. The result – at high AOA you move the stick laterally and nothing happens. Of course, the real aircraft has aileron-rudder interconnect. See attached pages from flight manual. How could an aircraft of this kind NOT have aileron-rudder interconnect? Even the MiG-23 has an implementation of lateral stick-to-rudder interconnect. The ARM-150 actuator in the rudder channel has an authority of +/-8 deg. I’m curious what the developers think this +/-8 deg is “reserved” for. At any stick input, no matter the AOA, the automatics in the rudder channel do nothing to help you. The rudders don’t deflect at all; they just sit there dead. The only way you can “convince” the automatics in the rudder channel to show you they’re not dead is to press a rudder pedal fully, then release it. The quite substantial yaw rate generated the rudders will try to counter by an anemic 1 deg or so deflection.
  21. How to deploy speedbrake constantly ? I mean, when i use the "sppedbrake depress" key, the speedbrake only deploys for a few seconds, then closes. Thanks in advance !
  22. Hi, most likely the script texture line has changed in the default script. Same happened with some other aircraft (S3-B, A400M, B-52, B1-B) where the texture lines were written differently, where the tank line was written in a new way. I remember someone changing/copying the lines from older liveries, and then they worked again. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3347014/
  23. I use the cannon symbology to find the target on the HUD. Hold the first detent of the cannon trigger, the circle will then be overlaid over the target, release the trigger and continue with missile engagement. This will only work if you have range information however, so it'll be fine when using the radar but with an IRST lock you need to wait for laser range. It seems the Soviets were very keen to keep the HUD decluttered or maybe the thing just can't handle too much symbology at the same time?
  24. Well, the bug is still alive. Did you have any triggers past the one "Fly to Novo... Heading 325"? Btw. the ADF 252.000 MHz doesnt seem to point to the airport but somewhere else. And skipping - unfortunately - doesnt seem to be the solution. I can go to the next mission but that one doesnt complete then either.
  25. Hello, As I'm flying primarily desert maps I'm forced to download a user liveries for F-16C as it lack one. I download quite a few of skins for a desert environment and few of them are missing same textures for the fuel tanks. nullI was looking for some tutorials to fix it myself but more I'm looking into this matter the dipper the rabbit whole gets and I give-up. Also noticed that other liveries are mentioning that 'fixed tanks' so I guess is a thing must be...fix. So any guidance how to do it myself will be much appreciated! nullnull
  26. Well I have nothing to add to this I don't see a need to attach any track to it, to make it overcomplicated. Run the sequence measure and check timings. Nothing more. I lean to believe that someone who was checking is mismatching it and counts 7sec from StartUp light extinguished, but not from 50% reached that's it
