  2. Классика же. Людям за пк лучше знать как там реальные пилоты летают.
  3. You could create a 3d model and texture it as you need. This may sound "BONKERS" but it should work problem - you have not got access to the EDM model file for the contours of the runway it may not be flat or level. Possible solution - In blender make a 3d single model of a matrix of numbered surveyers poles all at same height and same distances apart with ruler heights marked on them. Dont need a collission model. Setup the EDM model and textures as a static object . Place the static model as an object in Mission Editor on the airfield. Adjust the height of Model in Blender so all of the poles are all sunken into the ground a little. You can take screen shots in DCS of the poles and visually read and transfer each runway contour height to points on a flat subdivided plane the same as the pole spacings ( this will be the new 3d overlay model for the runway ) Place the new 3d model over the old runway adjust final height just above old runway. I did the same thing for My Krupp K5 Leopold Railway gun as it needed to behave as a Tank but Look like a Train on Rails so i placed a Railway line Model and textures over a DCS road . Have Fun
  4. Since we already see this on the loading screen, why don't we have this possibility in game? Are there any limitations from the block 50 version DCS simulates?
  5. Ok according to cross check of various documents describing all the digital hardware on board, there is AT LEAST sync between search PRF and SPO blocking signal. Keyword(or rather keynumber) is PRF in search equals to default SPO sync update. Blocking of SPO does not affect it's internal logic and processing in any way - it blocks antenna and preamp, not whole system. Also SPO uses memory to process signals and that mitigates blocking from radar, since it for example accumulates data on non-continous emissions. As for SPO being unable to handle HPRF it's very untrue, it's tested against a much higher PRF signal than MiG ever produces.
  6. ...to prevent this.
  7. It's been about.... *cough* thirty-two *cough* years since I last took the controls of a live helicopter, and I remember the cyclic being fairly light, but I recall there was enough counter-resistance that I could feel when I was pushing on it. This WinWing is so light that I can blow on it and it moves about 6mm. Heck, if I hold it with just a finger and thumb, simply breathing moves it over ½". The cams it comes with are pretty smooth and resistance builds towards the ends of the axes, without having a discernible centre detent, but I either need to increase the spring tension, swap the cam profile or maybe just increase the damper force. Right now, simply moving my thumb to operate the switches is enough to throw everything right off. Aye, that's generally what seems to happen. Most commonly I skid in a left slide, and if I manage to stabilise that, I tip forward to get moving and end up sliding backwards or at an angle. Increasing collective seems to make it worse unless I put a lot on and just launch myself - Same for trying to hover, collective does nothing and cyclic generates lift but only once I'm moving at 40-60kph at least. Certainly this thread has given me a lot to work with and try out, and it looks like my weekend will be very busy with this - Thank-you everybody! I'll report back soon, hopefully with news of improvements....
  8. Hey Steve Sorry for the late reaction, I was out of the office for a couple of days. Do you use Track IR? If so, check if TIR uses the F7 key for any shortcut, such as pause or center. If embaking is not working, which happens from time to time in DCS, a workaround should be available in the F-10 Radio menu. Please check and provide me with the result.
  9. 1. The Shrike model disappears (or is invisible) when you re-arm with a Shrike. 2. L-Shift+1,2,4,5 during re-arming to select Shrike desired seeker head response for each station does not seem to work. How is it done step by step? Thanks
  10. Thank you. I’ve never messed with the IPD, I just assumed it was the same as the «set how far it is between your eyes» thing. Could it be beneficial to change that in DCS as well? A few comments: It’s altitude I think seems off. Distance seems somewhat better (although this is highly subjective). However I believe it’s considerably easier to spot stuff than in real life. Especially from distance and front facing in some planes with smaller front cross section, like 16, 21, etc
  11. A bit later varians of F-16A. Block 15 and later did.
  12. Maybe it is a bug, I am not sure.
  13. Hello, I noticed when comparing the trailer and tutorial videos that the Roosevelt(71) aircraft carrier is populated and the Washington(73) is not. I'm planning to play the campaign with the F14. Could I take off and return from missions with the Roosevelt(71)? I assume so, given the squadron selection option at the start of the mission, but I'd rather ask you. Sincerely, Michael
  14. You should make new liveries for the medium and low ones, resize full res ones and just name them, I think.
  15. It means you can use the pop-up window NS430 in the aircraft but if you want the nice 3D model installed in the cockpit you have to buy it separately for each aircraft. Caution: Currently flat mode is incompatible with VR devices.
  16. Ah I see. I didn't know they carried fox3 also.
  17. No. Maybe the first one, but with block 15 it could carry sparrows and amrams after ADF modifications and MLU upgrades later. But yes, MiG-29A was superior platform when compared to very first F-16A variants (without amrams).
  18. The problem is that it's not being disrupted by some obstacle. In my opinion, it should still work, and contrary to appearances, the direction to the beacon is still just as important, even though we have a signal from the PRMG. Maybe it's a bug?
  19. Didn't 16A have only fox 2? 29 has DL, fox 1, HMS, 2 engines... IMHO it beats the 16A version in almost everything except RWR maybe
  20. The aircraft and its description is fine. The thread is about the "NS430 and NS430 for MiG-29" product and its false description, false and misleading marketing. Yes, half* of functionality (comms) is not implemented, and that is a big deal. If it was a simple mistake they'd have simply corrected it years ago. But they didn't and keep adding the same info for more aircraft. It depends on the implementation. The RL device has connectors to the external antennas for both GPS, NAV and radios plus 3 kinds of data buses to connect to the aircraft. You can either just connect power and GPS antenna and have it just like in DCS or you can integrate it fully with mic button, helmet headphones, aircraft nav, comm and other systems. *Maybe even 2/3 if you count NAV like VOR and ILS but I don't have details on that.
  21. Да, это приходится делать за него, отдавая нужные команды в нужное время. Помимо своих ЦПЖшных дел
  22. Today
  23. I noticed that also, but localizer and course is still present. PRMG works independently of RSBN and should not be issue when in final on runway. Once PRMG is established , RSBN is not needed. Most likely you are right about inability to hold both signals. In MiG-21Bis, signal can also be lost if you are flying low or obstructed. But not as frequent as in MiG-29A. But in my case both happened rarely.
  25. HI @Polonsky 1 What bingo fuel, holding pattern for own squad and decision altitude setting? No bingo fuel is given. The case 1 landing patterns are given and the stack height of 2000 feet is given under the flight plan under RTB, all on the kneeboard, also the flight plan heights between way points. 2 I have a suite of Campaigns starting with the free "Serpents Head" then "Serpents head 2" then this Campaign, "Rise of the Persian Lion" then "Rise of the Persian Lion2" and the last currently "Operation Green Line". The difficulty increasing through the campaigns. In this campaign as set out in the brief, " A lot of the communications are trigger based. Pilots will have to operate the radio for Carrier approaches and aerial refuelling." So in this campaign you do not need to worry about your wing, assume he is switching with you. The next Campaign ROPL2 you will have to operate the radios fully. The RTB instructions gave you the frequency plus also the instruction "Primary Push 2" so all you needed to do is select channel two on the Primary radio i.e. Comm 1. When you approached the ABE you did not get the Charlie signal to land so not sure why. Did notice though you were using Comm 2 in some instances? Have a look at Flying Kennys fly through. Also noted you did not have the ICLS active on the HSI or the Tacan boxed. Regarding to the coords. The audio will read them out and they will stay on screen for a period but then you have the option to call them back. They then will remain on screen until you press the space bar. You could also call them back even then using the message history system. Hope this helps.
  26. George's abilities have been tweaked and will continue to be tweaked to get him to act as realistically and as proficiently as possible. Sometimes it will have trouble locking certain targets due to object occlusion, range or other limitations. Make sure to stabilize the helicopter and offer him a clear view of the target area. If you feel it's still not working correctly, then please supply tracks (preferably simple, quick missions in Caucasus) of the conditions you set up that it won't engage.
  27. please include a track replay and a step by step guide to reproduce the issue thank you
