  2. Due to a gap in the road, the convoy cannot pass!
  3. Opsec reasoning most likely. And if I remember correctly Wags said SAAB doesn't like giving away information on their current airframes. We're extremely lucky to get a rafale and will most likely not see it for the next 5 years minus a teaser here and there que the eurofighter.
  4. I mainly only notice this with ED modules. Depending on the aircraft you need to be at a certain fuel level. For example the F-16 you need the refuel door open and be around 4,000lbs if I remember correctly for you to get the external tanks topped off without having to toggle them off and on.
  5. That's very strange. On the inability to detect the MiG-23s CW signal, I'm 95% sure I've heard MiG-23 launch alerts when I was flying the Tomcat. But it also seems strange that the USAF fitted RWR antennas that weren't tuned to cover the threat band of the F-4s greatest air-to-air threat in the 1970s. I trust Heatblur has done the research and this is how the real F-4E-45MC worked. Just trying to understand why the USAF would possibly implement such a system?
  6. At least for the MiG-23 (and MiG-21), their radar frequency is outside the bands of the RWR. Even the Viper won't see them on it's RWR. In fact I don't think any plane (in DCS) will detect them on their RWR.
  7. German Air Force Orders 20 Additional Eurofighter Multirole Fighter Jets for Delivery in 2031-2034 Manching, Germany, 15 October 2025 – Germany is strengthening its defence capabilities with the purchase of 20 new Eurofighters. Under the contract, Airbus will produce the multi-role combat aircraft at its final assembly line in Manching, near Munich in Germany. The first aircraft is scheduled for delivery to the German Air Force in 2031, the last in 2034. "This new order is further proof of the Eurofighter’s importance to the German Air Force and the strategic role it plays in our country’s air defence and NATO capabilities,” said Mike Schoellhorn, CEO of Airbus Defence and Space. “The continued evolution of the Eurofighter serves as an essential technological and operational bridge to a Future Combat Air System (FCAS), ensuring a seamless transition to the next generation of air power. With these additional Eurofighters, Germany strengthens its ability to conduct surveillance of its airspace and secure NATO’s skies, supporting Germany in its role as a reliable partner for collective security.” Airbus will equip the 20 Eurofighters with the latest sensors. This includes, for example, the new electronic E-Scan radar. In parallel, Airbus will add electronic warfare capabilities to the German Eurofighter fleet by integrating the Arexis sensor suite, developed by Sweden’s Saab, in existing and newly built aircraft. These significant technological upgrades will further enhance the already broad operational capabilities of German Air Force Eurofighters. As the largest European defence programme, involving Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK, the Eurofighter is not only a guarantor of security. It is also a driver of growth and employment. The Eurofighter secures more than 100,000 jobs in Europe, 25,000 of them in Germany alone. 120 German suppliers are involved in the programme. With this new contract, nine countries have ordered more than 740 Eurofighters, namely Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Austria, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait and Qatar - making the Eurofighter the most successful European fighter jet programme in production. The Eurofighter is planned to remain in service with the German Air Force until the 2060s. In the FCAS, which is scheduled to be operational from 2040, the Eurofighter will also operate networked with current and future crewed and uncrewed aircraft – and continue to help pilots fulfil their missions. 8. So I did as you told me. I renamed the dcs folder. Then I copied the Imput folder, deleted the FXO and METASHADER 2 folders, and I restarted dcs. The result is that the slowdowns and stuttering have disappeared 99% in both 2D and VR. Thanks for the help you provided. I just have one more question! I check the quad view in the settings when I start dcs, but when I'm in the game, I go to Settings and then to VR. And the quad view box is checked, but it's grayed out. I can't intervene like before (with or without) from this page. I can just click (with or without) on the first page of settings at the start where you can see the video. Is this normal or is my installation messing up?
  9. TBH, I would like it more to have an upgraded flight and damage models. And TADS not bugging in multicrew. And desync issues.
  10. Having learned to fly the F-4, I'm now moving into learning the weapons and defensive systems before diving into Reflected's "MiG Killers" campaign. Just diving into the ALR-46 and how it operates, and was surprised to see the wide array of threats where the ALR-46 cannot detect a launch. In particular, I was struck at the tables in the Heatblur manual that listed the following threats as providing no warning on launch: * SA-5 * SA-11 * MiG-23 * F-4 Wouldn't all these systems work by SARH? Why wouldn't a mid-1970s RWR be able to detect the CW signal of weapon guidance and alert the pilot? It seems like fighting the MiG-23 in particular will be more challenging without knowing we've had an Apex launched at us. (BTW - I know that there's no warning for IR-guided systems like SA-13, that's understandable)
  11. как увидить на выключенном шлеме?
  12. The whole point is that by declaring the pre-condition of one switch box, you have to turn to a hackish solution, like every time you want to play different game, you have to re-flash your controller board, and bring headache. Why in the hell do you do that to yourself? Consider stepping back, and re-evaluate your "pre-conditions" and "assumptions" and you might just find the solution space suddenly broaden. Then, you can evaluate whether the gained new solutions is worth giving up the pre-conditions, or keeping them. For instance, what about one switch box per one controller, and each for different aircraft. Then, you never have to re-flash them ever. You just plug in different switch box and you are good to go. It's not like one switch box is ever going to ever there is. You are going to want more, if that one switch box works well. Might as well release yourself from the mental confine from the start.

  15. Well, the real one has no spring and rotates freely. I suspect it’s up to pilot to move it back to center to stop it moving each time. But could be the other way too.
  16. Hi @Feathers For the export of the Winwing screens, simply use the SimAppPro software. Then, if you have addtional screens, you can copy-paste the .lua file that SimAppPro creates and add your own exports to it. No need to run Helios at all. Check out A Hornets Nest on Youtube for a detailed guide
  17. Get Tapatalk. [emoji6] But to be fair, there seems to be some strange things with the forum that changes color of text from auto to black and adds white text background for A LOT of users lately. Very noticeable for us on the Dark Side. Sent from my SM-A536B using Tapatalk
  18. I mention in the video that turning down the gain won’t affect the targets. So you can turn the gain pretty much all the way down and still see targets perfectly. The hardest targets (MiG-21, F-16) should be seen about 8 km from front and 15 km from back. F-14/15 can be seen about 15 km in front and nearly 30 km behind (in mil power.) F-18 is sort of between the two. But I’ve got 25 km behind it. Remember from the video it’s not stabilized and looks +/-15 degrees vertically and 30 degrees to each side horizontally It takes practice but you’ll get there. Hold lock for 1.5 seconds. You can always vertical scan lock as well and switch to IRST search if you want the benefits of IRST search in coop., You’ll get there. Do a mission with lots of targets like F-14/15 that won’t attack you (you could select civil plane.)
  19. I don't think it's just the spotting dots. We did a few tests and concluded that spotting also is affected by head movement (using TrackIR) vs looking straight ahead in a static fashion. Seems like the issue is connected to FOV aswell. Contacts that was clearly visible would just vanish when we panned our head around at certain angles. Test was conducted at different ranges against AI with and without pause enabled.
  20. Looks like an authorization issue, check that your computer date, time and time zone are correct, and that you are using the correct dcs account password.
  21. Dummy means a “fake” load is given to radar. In COOP IRST modes it allows cooperative use with IRST. You will find when Lazur GCI is implemented you will also put radar in dummy so that the Lazur system can operate it as necessary.

  23. Fixed, I should not post over the phone. Thanks mate
  24. J-10A/B and J-11B/J-15 are probably doable too.
  25. (Btw, you put white colored text over white background, rather unreadable, at least for people with the bright theme)
