  1. Past hour
  2. @spacefox I bought it when it wasn't on sale, for the full price, intentionally, to support the product, cause I really liked it during the test-drive (trial period). So, let's hope we get an answer. The developer is usually very responsive, but doesn't looks like they interested in developing this one...
  3. Your going to find it particularly hard to breath if dropping HALO troop and not on oxygen, which is another reason to wear helmets. IIRC USAF and USMC/USN pilots wear HGU-55/P helmets when flying 'tactical' sorties, night low level ops or high level with the ramp open. The RAF crews shown above also fly with helmets on for this reason. When they flew 'trash hauler' missions they just wore headsets, just like you've experienced at DM.
  4. Well, that's early access for you. Myself, I'm not buying anything until I work through my considerable singleplayer backlog. Given that I'm on a break from DCS lately, this will likely be a while. After that, I will catch up on campaigns for modules that I already own, and then, I will start thinking about buying something new. I'll probably miss out on the 30% discount for the MiG-29, but I'm on Steam, so if I have it at all it'll be a very narrow window. If I happen to have enough money freed up I might go for it, but in this economy I probably won't.
  5. Ralfi isn't airline crowd, though. That's Tricker (pretty sure I know which airpline he flies for) and Casmo (former KW and Apache guy, now flies charter 737 I believe) and other cool kids like BluGames. I think Ralfi is still in school studying engineering. Low confidence in the veracity of that. I think he tried to go military a few years ago but something went awry. crappyity vision perhaps?
  6. Wondering is there a way to set the max frame rate to 72, to match my VR headset. The GUI only allows increments of 5. ?
  7. they do just what every major game developer has been doing for the last 15 years; one should be happy about the fact they dont do micro transactions, but at the very least you see results in a month by month basis, AND they keep the update roadmap transparent. Id rather learn the half baked modules on a cup-by-cup basis rather than the whole firehose all at once.
  8. good that is what i get here. you may want to submit a support ticket. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/
  9. +1 And yet here we have ED releasing half baked modules like there is no tomorrow. I have eated enough half bakering to not buy anythng else
  10. Non-authoritative answer: Name: api.digitalcombatsimulator.com Address: 185.195.197.20
  11. Sorry, but what does Virpil has to do with K51 collective?

  13. what are your results in NSLOOKUP for api.digitalcombatsimulator.com?
  14. The remote indicator magnetic compass is misleading to read, because the needle is high above its plate. So from the typical pilot perspective you read its projection on the plane from a diagonal perspective. If the needle points to 180, you are likely to read it as 185. If it is 000 you are likely to read it as 355, etc. Move your head around in the cockpit and you will see. The way to use the RI compass is NOT to read the needle - you rotate the arrow to the direction you want to keep, then hold the needle parallel to the arrow. You will notice it is not exactly on top of the arrow because of the perspective issue, but parallel is parallel from any perspective. And yes, it is super annoying that this compass only works when you are perfectly level. The gyro compass does not drift very much, so I use it most of the time, except on long cruises where I use the above method with the RI compass.
  15. I've been going through posts and replies back and forth and it seems there is no direct response from the Devs if the water injected WEP is modeled or not. A bunch of folks are simply guessing based off the the instruments' read outs and the devs are silent. So a question to @-Rudel-: can you please clarify: - Is Water Injected WEP modeled ? - if it is indeed Modeled: how do you actually reliably engage it?
  16. its easy, they should list all 3rd parties involved, but they are not doing it. Take your conclusions.
  17. Great... Now I need to somehow find a way to add a yoke to my already way too complicated DCS simrig
  18. I waiting to hear from the devs too - there are bugs in training and mission. See my earlier post. I really wanted to train on this module. Not hearing answers from the dev. I also do not want to see posts like the update is coming. I saw all the other posts in the forum, that they have been posted for a while and I just do not know what is going on. If it didn't sell well, then the devs must come and out say it. I bought it based on their dev's name for fsx/p3d models fame. I am weary of their new upcoming module...there will be support in initial years but if you buy it few years later and the module just sits there...I get the feeling that has happened to me with this module. I could be completely wrong also once I hear from the devs.
  19. well if that were true, then ED could be privy to a class action lawsuit IMO. As much as Id like to agree with you, I dont think thats the case.
  20. But you do realize you're replying to a post two years later? So, let me tell you from experience, we calibrate on MK and then switch to GPK. At least that's how it is for us.
  21. Makes total sense. I just thinking getting it in front of the airline crowd would be good for the module and DCS.
  22. You will see. Dont worry.
  23. Have restarted things many times. East coast. I don't run into this issue with the admin account on the server which is weird.
  24. It will happen again, you know why? Because the statement about all 3rd parties should sign the file sharing policy since 2018 is a LIE.
  25. If I don't care neither does the developer? Are you posting just to post? What does that even mean? Cry more. My discussion with the hoi polloi is resolved. Hence /thread.
