Adding ILS to East German Airbases for Modern Scenarios
skywalker22 replied to JG78_horΛz's topic in Wish List
Thats the most you can do atm unfortunatelly. Just put the ILS lines at the end of the beacon.lua file, and send the file to others. Don't forget to make a backup copy of the original file copy as well. Modifying that file will surely break IC in most of the other servers, but you can set your own server up without the IC. It's not a hard task to do. -
I have a Intel 14th Gen Processor with RTX 4090 GPU and 64Gb RAM... Caucassus map runs at 90FPS, Cold War Germany runs at 45-50FPS. Is that a similar experience for others or is there something wrong with my machine and/or the Cold War Map.

There’s already a thread on this one here:

Stuff like BeyondATC is very cool indeed. You’ll notice they are paid add-ons though or even require subscriptions. I don’t think the user base in DCS is sufficient to fund something like this. We can dream though.

Here it is all explained.

The Supercarrier ATC IA has a first steep to add more plausible ATC to bases on a future, that has separated by the old "common" ATC. About Improments, Wags has talk about them on the January 2025 Q&A (21:20 to 22:38)

No fail. It just was not there.. Do you mean I should install again?

уже (пока) ни как . Между ЕД и разбамом какие то терки и вся продукция снята с продаж.

DCS WWII 1944 Kickstarter: A Tragedy in 3 Acts
Silver_Dragon replied to [HOUNDS] CptTrips's topic in Chit-Chat
AI is just a placebo, it doesn't reach that level, and no, AI has horrendous problems generating code or doing anything creative, because it doesn't "reason," but copies and pastes its predefined patterns, and when you review them you find that it's absolute crap... The fact that people have dedicated themselves to switching from the creator's chip to "let an AI do it for me" shows the level we're going to (and yes, I've seen it in schools and in my sector, with programmers writing code via AI, and then when an application breaks down, the one who made it doesn't even know where to start).... And I understand that AI has evolved, but the same thing happens, they create a 3D model, and when you put that in 3DS Max and try to add arguments, textures, and animations, you'll have to sacrifice 20 souls to some dark god for it to be coherent... You've hit the nail on the head. For a while I tried to create an alternate history with GPT Chat / Gemini. The level of frustration it generated due to its repetitiveness, disjointedness, forgetting previous lines, and doing whatever it wanted without breaking a sweat was such that I gave up on it, no matter how hard I tried to "shepherd" it... -

Or make us an entirely-new high-fidelity air combat simulation? For free. With an 'add new aircraft' button so nobody has to wait for pesky developers to make stuff. You want a XB-70 Valkyrie, but can't find it in the mission editor? No problem. ChatGPT will have it ready for you in a few minutes. Yeah, that'll happen... Meanwhile, in the real world, ChatGPT is still struggling with basic concepts like the difference between looking something up in a cited source and inventing fictitious but plausible-sounding citations. -
Cool I did not notice that. Do you have any sources for me? Would be really interested in how they plan to implement this. A little update from NineLine or BIGNEWIE would be appreceated too.

IA ATC has planned by ED and take time.

If AI is capable of so much why are we still waiting for content here? Hey ChatGPT make us a Dynamic Campaign. -
You can prove anything with facts! Fair point, well made. Cheers

In my opinion there is one thing, that would really enhance the whole DCS experience by far. An AI ATC that replaces the Voices of ATC Controllers like AWACS, Tanker, Tower etc with AI generated random human like voices. This combined with a responsive system that captures the players voice and interpretes his calls in commands like "request bogey dope", "request landing" or "ready precontact" would just change the immersion dramaticly. Imagine you could actually speak to the ATC controllers and get a seemingly human reaction. There are programms like voice attack or even things like beyond ATC which show, that it is possible. I would be willing to buy it as a module or even consider paying for some kind of season pass to get this feature if neccesary. So ED, are you planning to do something like this or have even discussed it? Is there anybody else who would love such an ATC improvement?

F-16C Fictional Ala 12 Spanish Air Force Livery This is a fictional livery for Ala 12 (Torrejón Air Base), designed with colors and markings inspired by aircraft currently—or historically—used by the Spanish Air and Space Force. While Spain has never operated the F-16, this skin imagines what it might look like if it had—drawing influence from real-world schemes seen on the F/A-18, Eurofighter Typhoon, F-4 Phantom, and liveries from other F-16 operators. I hope you enjoy it! https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3346007/

Hello, The rudder axis command has disappeared from the list. The roll command doesn't work. I can't turn the front wheel even with keyboard commands (F16, F14, M2000). And this with the latest updates and a complete reinstallation to date (August 6, 2025). Do you have a solution? Is a fix planned? Thanks Raymond

I tried more fuse combos today but they all exploded on contact. Plugs made no difference unless used N and T. The correct use for a 5 or11 second delay tail fuse AN M116, is for very low level and the nose plug in, but it explodes on contact. The only one that provided a usable delay was nose fuse Mk 244 mod 1, (anti submarine), which gave 4 secs with switch in N/T psition. Oh well, keep plodding on. ..

waiting for resolution ED/RAZBAM Situation Info & Discussion
JuiceIsLoose replied to NineLine's topic in RAZBAM
You would think after how long this has been and ED stating that eventually these planes will be deprecated (from their latest statement about them trying to ensure them to stay function only up to 2.9.X), that ED would provide an actual reason for why they chose and are continuing to choose to not pay the third party developer. If the modules we purchased are going to be deprecated because ED is not paying RB then I think we should at least know why ED chose this route of not paying their third party. Otherwise what accountability and trust can we have in ED? I don’t think it’s crazy to ask to know why a product will be end of life. ED thanks us for passion and support, just please try to earn it for a large portion of the community that has been soured by EDs handling of this issue. I’m not demanding anything. I’m simply asking ED to show they actually care about a customer base that has felt abandoned by them and their decisions. -
For a combat sim, it's not bad at all. Most rotor heads are into the Apache and Kiowa side of things I would imagine, and a smaller amount lean towards the Mi-8 and Chinook. But the C-130 is about to come out, so the transport side of the side of the sim is about to get a huge bump. The Chinook is bound to get more attention, and if the Mi-8 gets some love, I'll be very happy. The issue, as with all things DCS, is time and money. Pretty much guaranteed we'll see more transport choppers, just a question of when. Also, they have to be interesting enough to sell in order to be profitable enough to make. I'm not sure how many transport helicopters will hold enough attention to be worth making. For the time being, I definitely see the glass as half-full.

Useful Tips about f14 after touch down on runway
Dragon1-1 replied to Ddg1500's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Just hold the stick full back and give it some differential aileron if you're drifting. If your landing technique was good you'll slow down to taxi speed in no time. -
