Military Assets for DCS by Currenthill

excellent news ! -
I've solved the problem! Apparently, the issue was having the 'compensate on takeoff' box checked caused the issue. I've unchecked it and things are find now.

I guess we will have to wait. I think what is most frustrating is where we know the CDU is not fully functional, it was at least useable before a couple of updates ago.. I.e not having the screens go blank. I think in most cases, just having it back to the way it was would be good enough for now The other comment I'll make and does echo what Blaine has said. New functions and features are great and shows advancement, but without any supporting documentation or some notes is not especially useful. Like the hover page on the MFD's. Great addition but leaving the customer to figure it out is not great. For someone in the dev team who knows the how, what, when, where and why - it would only take 10-15mins to write enough to explain. I don't think that's too much to be asking for... ?

Hi, I think I found something noteworthy, can be reproduce consistently and can point to the source of the bug: In RWS LTWS on: TDC Depress can bug a target to L&S as long as the radar doesn't detect the target (no raw brick). As soon as the radar detects it with the raw brick on top of the MSI track, TDC Depress will do nothing. This is recorded in my attached track. LTWS off: TDC Depress on raw brick with no LTWS won't do anything (sorry forgot to record this in the track). In TWS: Bugging MSI only tracks and radar tracks work properly Current workaround for RWS is to use SCS Right when the cursor is on top of a raw brick, but it's finicky since it can STT a different target (highest priority) instead if the raw brick timed out. msi-bugged-in-rws.trk

I like this. ...and it should be added to this wish list: Ability to change only the livery without having to rearm every time after pressing 'OK'. Ability to change only the aircraft numbers if available without also having to rearm after pressing 'OK'. Currently, to use a different livery or numbers, you need to press OK triggering the rearm functionality even though are the same weapons being loaded in. Keep in mind that in modules like the Hornet, if you move while rearming, even though the same weapons already loaded are being rearmed, it will trash the weapons making them unable to be fired/released. A checkbox for every changeable item on the rearm window would be very valuable additions to quality of life on this sim.

Does setting a higher res vs lower affect performance at all in VR?
-
Silly question but will it be possible to fall to my death as load master? Or will I always have a strap keeping me safe. It’s not an important feature, but it would be kind of amusing.
-
If only every aircraft module would just spit out the reason for engine or system failure into the log file… if only. Maybe M3 can start the trend? Hint hint. Whatever condition is satisfied in the code that makes the engine quit, just export that to the log file alongside the line of code that tells the engine to quit.

CPU resource utilization is still an issue. Im not coder, but it appears the complexity of the code with 9 different pimax processes running in the background with piserver.exe being the worst is bring cpu use to its needs. Add QV with DCS and CPU are managing a lot processes. It is a little better after last 2 updates with hotfix, but can be a lot better.

Who wants to make best Mi-24 mod ever?????
Raffi75 replied to AeriaGloria's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
I still don't understand why. The Mi-24 is such a simple helicopter that it couldn't be simpler. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think any modernization was implemented, even in real life. There were many designs, many ideas, and in the end, the Mi-24 remained as it is. Perfect in its simplicity. -

You're not, but that's why mods exist- to modify, extend or outright create non-existing capability. AG is talking about mod, not trying to change DCS itself. -

Yes, I was shocked when I saw the HUD back in 1997 or 98, I know it's not real, simply wanted to show how it looked. -
an expensive investment, sounds like...

Currently the rearm logic works as follows: No change in fuel level = rearm only Change in fuel level = first refuel, then rearm It would be nice if after RTB-ing we could first rearm, and then refuel, so that we get a few minutes to setup weapons, instead of just sitting there. It could be implemented in a few ways: Reverse the current logic: first rearm, and then refuel User settable option in game settings Check box in the rearm menu

You're showing something that was created for the game. There's no such sight in real life. As far as I know, DCS is a simulator that faithfully replicates real helicopters and planes. Unless I'm missing something. -
Bring it on.
