Don’t think I’ve been this excited for a module release for a long time. Probably since the F14. I’m very hyped about the fulcrum. Still pretty angry about the Razbam situation particularly the Harrier personally as I fly that a lot. But I’ll still be getting the Fulcrum 100% it’s just such a great looking jet with so much character.

The Jeff doesn't utilise FM band. if you are running SRS you can use the additional radios from that.

As far as I'm aware "Bullseye" specifically is only used by the west so being designed and made by China our Frankenstein block 1.5 does not feature it assumedly PLAAF uses their own version under a different name but there's no such evidence for it I'd assume IRL they use the FPA/FPB stuff to do something similar and potentially block 2/3 got updated software to have some form of bullseye integration. But ultimately I'm not in a NATO airframe so I'm not expecting to use their systems, in a real pinch I'll just use map and tools to manually get my position. OAP could be an OK jerryrig I suppose but its more for handing off targets.

Launch Screen Hang after last Update
silverdevil replied to drspankle's topic in Installation Problems
hello the shortcut should be Target: "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCS_updater.exe" Start in: "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta" your folder may be different. for sure you should be running everything from BIN. BIN and MT are the same files now and defaults as multithread. -
Karachi is as sparsely modeled as the engineering spaces on the CVNs. It took me a while to recognize the harbor, and even then I had to cheat and reference maps. Never lived there, got to spend some time, and I have to say I really enjoyed the place. Nothing but pleasant memories. A little sad it's just a field of grass, not even a satellite photo superimposed on the terrain.

Thought that this could be a good discussion on motherboards. Yes, there are still B650's out there but they will become harder to find as time goes on. I decided that perhaps an X670E would be a bit better. I have been look at HUB X670E reports on thermals and for sure want something that runs at 80c or lower. Asrock looked to have some boards that were appealing, but until I know for sure that they have solved the issue with AM5, they are a no go. Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.

I would like to report a bug. I read in an early changelog that this issue is fixed, but i have encountered this a lot of time. So, i noticed, that when i trying to rotate a button, its very laggy and stutters. When i switched to external view and rotating the camera WITH mouse the fps drops to 0 until i move my mouse. When i stop moving the mouse the fps jump to normal. I tried everything, but this issue sometime gone, when i re-start the whole game... sometimes everything works perfectly. Just for sure, i tried with older and a newest graphics driver (unistalled with DDU). Tried in windowed / fullscreen. After i found a topic, that mentioned such behaivor i tried to switching my mouse polling rate. When i drop to 500hz, and when this issue occured, the fps not dropped to 0, but the game was very stuttering. For a while, i droped the polling rate to 250hz, and i do not encounter this issue... at least until this very moment. I hope that this bug is addressed again. Sorry for my bad english, i tried my best... i just wanted to help others with this report.

I just noticed that this morning looking for a base for BadGuys(tm) while I fly out of Bagram. Saw the textures on the map, flew over and it's photo textures all over in that area, put a scout helo on the airbase and only had to climb fifty feet to see through all the grass to the underlying image, but the whole area is Kansas flat so I have to assume there's some elevation tweaking to be done as well. It's like that all around that canyon, so my assumption is that's part of the north map, which is the one I'm waiting for anyway. In the mean time the Blue guys and Red guys are working up plans for the Red assets up there. I'm sure all that will need tweaked if that is indeed part of the north map, but it also gives the red force an airbase, so win all around.

Don’t underestimate the Bombcat. It is very capable as a ground pounder, has a big payload, and I’d say for basic A2G you can get along with Jester. Even though of course a human RIO is always a bonus. And the F1 is just a glorious module with lots of distinct personality. (And quite easy to operate)
-
Never had that problem and I assumed they were F-15Es, but whatever, they really didn't bother me too much, I'm a heavy sleeper so if they were roaring in the night I was knocked out most of the time. Then again I wasn't there long anyway, since it was just coming in and out for heading back to the FOB and stuff. Just a transient.

I didn't actively stop windows update... For some reason its never updated to the latest windows version.

It looks like you have re-projection (SSW, or Synchronous Space Warp) enabled. This will half the frame rate and insert extra frames to keep 72Hz. In VD look for the setting SSW enabled, disabled and automatic in the headset VD menu and set it to "disabled". The you will see your actual FPS.

Hi all, After the last update DCS wouldn't load and just hung at the Launch Screen. All I got was a black screen with no icons. I tried Repair (quick and full), but it didn't work. I don't have any mods. I uninstalled and re-installed and now I have 2 icons, DCS and DCS-MT, where I used to only have 1 (I thought the MT version was now the default?), and, although I saved my user profile for my HOTAS, when I the Load Profile nothing changes. I've never had an issue updating before. Anyone help? Dr Spankle

The MFD image is a slightly different story, as it's generated by the graphics engine. Some data from the MFD can be received by a script into the DCS, but this isn't universal. Each module has its own way of doing this, with buttons having different identifiers, and each individual OSB button on the MFD can have dozens of different names in different locations. I worked on this a while ago, it required an additional Windows application, but with one of the DCS World updates, the way to configure the MFD display on the monitor became somewhat limited. Although I started thinking about it recently, it could still be done faster than partially handling the MFD data via script. However, due to certain MFD display limitations, this wouldn't be possible for everyone...

Как-то отменяют тот факт, что кабина в реальности могла выглядеть так, как показано в игре? Нет. И вопросы личных предпочтений игроков на это никак не влияют.

Looking for a plane with a similar "vibe" as an AV-8B or Mirage 2000C
Supernova-III replied to lascaris's topic in DCS 2.9
Given that the Harrier is: the attack aircraft in its primary role close a2a capable SEAD/DEAD capable still the iron bomber fast and subsonic I can conclude, that the Su-25T is the closest aircraft according to these points. Removed SEAD/DEAD, Su-25 is next. No other attack plane (in its primary role) combines the speed and wide armament nomenclature. But if we are talking about the vibe, Su-25T has a different one. And is Su-25 is another different thing. -

Visual current G load indication in VR (and 2D)
Kirk66 replied to Kirk66's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Well, I have to disagree a bit about using muscle memory for Gs - because as you know Gs are related to both energy and how hard you are pulling on the stick; so stick position by itself is not a good indicator of Gs. Sure, there is sound, buffet, a lot of cues but they are all secondary to actual Gs. Even an FFB stick doesn't fix that. FFB is good for the airspeed/energy feedback on Warbirds but not so much for later jets. F-4 is prime example, stick forces in the fighting range of airspeeds are light and motion pretty limited, so not having Gs as a feedback on energy requires a lot more heads-down time checking numbers - which make it easy to lose sight - lose fight. IRL it's extremely easy to know what your current G is pretty accurately. BTDT for over 50 years. But even in fancy military fighter sims (which I had the pleasure of working on a lot) have not solved the problem of simulating Gs - and I've used G-seats (they suck), G-suits (great, but potential serious health effect!), and motion platforms (suck for fighters, good for transports). And the visual solution of grey/red outs are not the full solution, as they really don't come into play until you are way too deep into the Gs - back when I was on active duty, my resting G (no G-suit, no G-strain) was about 6, 7 with a suit, and 8 - 9 with straining. 9 is NOT fun, by the way. So visual blackouts/redouts should only begin when you exceed reasonable Gs for the era. And they are often tied to time spent at the higher G. I thought about just a color, or a rising bar, but even just a little number would be a good start. It would be fun to play with both an see what is most intuitive and non-intrusive. Say a patch of color (starts small/clear, get bigger/darker with G?) with a number next to it - which would let you do a G-warmnup turn and calibrate your Gs , just like the real deal. Vulture I do like your color wheel idea. -
That would mean a better "Vietnam" than the current Marianas WW2.

Dear Sirs, I'm currently struggling with my VR setting. My system specs are I9 11900k, 64 GB RAM, GTX 3080TI and a Pico 4 for VR missions. I would be happy to get some support on these two questions: 1. Using Total Commander I have two buttons to start DCS, one for 2D and another one for 3D. Both work well, however, the setting profiles need to be changed manually. Is it possible to launch 3D with a different profile that 2D. If yes, how can I do this. 2. Showing the fps rates using ctrl + pause only 36 fps for 3D. I'm wondering why I get only 36 fps during the 3D game? The setting in Virtual DT is 72 MHz. Thank you very much for your help and Kind regards Achim

Reshade VR Enhancer Mod (VREM)
mkel2010 replied to lefuneste01's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
For some reason, the mod is not saving the options I've selected. For example, activating the Color Change requires a game restart. I've used the save at the bottom of the add-on as well as the preset save button on the home tab. However, when I restart the game none of the options are saved. I did test with your options.lua file and get the same behavior. I've attached the log file. Let me know if you need anything else. ReShade.log
