  2. New update in the horizon and a proper section with the dev name on the forum! Including the performance passes and vegetation love. I am curious about the performance passes coverage if that pesky performance loss is resolved. Refresh on airfield lighting is also welcome. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/newsletters/32cf35bf457d5a4b74f1b3694a878c7e/
  3. I ask only for the ability to adjust the NVG "tube" up and down. In options we can 'Night Vision Goggles Gain-Increase' and 'Night Vision Goggles Gain-Decrease' (which one cannot do with the ANVIS-6 and ANVIS-9 systems I've worked with), but we cannot move the tubes up so they don't impede viewing of the panel and/or glancing outside 'unaided' (which is a mechanical adjustment that is key to proper NVG use). One of the very first things I learned about flying with NVGs is to adjust them, and prime to that is to get them out of one's way to see under them for the panel and for unaided view. There was/is a mod that allows NVG adjustments that's almost a half-decade old (by Tacca). Two problems with it are a). It's a mod that shouldn't be necessary and breaks on updates, and b). it also allowed a full-screen NVG effect (which is a bit of a cheat). I understand some dude wanting to fly night missions in a helicopter isn't the bread and butter of your sim. All I'd ask is controls to move the NVG 'window' (which looks quite good, I might add) up or down in the field of view.

  6. Sorry for posting this to the wrong forum! Czar, thanks for the review! My joystick has a lot of noise around the center. So I have increased the deadzone and now flying is much more smooth! I bet the AP modes will also hold as expected.

  8. ok, i had a 4090 with my quest 3 and put that into a different machine. now when i fly with the 5090 over the Mariana islands my FPS will drop and stay around 45. i say mariana since that is what i keep testing with the same flight profile. i have DLSS with the latest profile, on and quality setting. even if i adjust my graphics setting to VR mode it still happens. My 4090 did not do that so i'm stumped. i chatgpt'd it and made sure all my navida settings were what the norm was, drivers all updated. at this point i am totally open for suggestions???? when i fly back up high, the FPS goes back to 90 fps. couple other points: - quest 3 set at 90 fps too. - fps slider in DCS set to 90
  9. Indeed, the motion chair turn 360 so fast... My son laugh when it happens to me, but me I hate it because it can damage the hardware! That's interesting, thank you for pointing this out, I will contact him soon I found some, but only for local missions/training, those events does work in multiplayer servers unfortunately If it happen with your racing game, believe me, you will join me and begging asking how to stop it... it's accurate enough to be scary!

Probably. You should be getting about 2400 mbps transfer rate to play DCS without a lot of issues. Every once in awhile I drop to 1200 and have to shut everything down and reconnect.
  12. I'll be the annoying one and ask if you're remembering to make the MAV page SOI before pressing TMS Up?
  13. It seems to be a common problem for me, and others . I use multiplayer mode on a few different servers. But, all seem to have the same issue. I pick up a load of crates, try to fly to destination, mid flight the load just disappears out of the cargo compartment. Also on the offload page, they’re also gone. I’ve tried numerous different ways to stop this, including closing the ramp and door completely; however, they still disappear. anyone else running into this issue? I’ve been told by server managers that ED knows about the issue, they have for some time, but no solution yet?
  14. Does anyone have the Moza discord invite link please? The invite links that I have are outdated. Cheers!
  15. Thanks for the report, this is the response from the team I received. The hydraulic/brake accumulators are indeed used to start the Jet Fuel Starter, but once the JFS is operational and it spools the engine past 12% RPM, the accumulators begin to recharge, even if the engine throttle itself is never moved to idle. If the user starts the JFS but manually shuts it down before the engine spools past 12%, it is possible to deplete the accumulators, although I am not sure why one would want to. If you feel this is still wrong, I would be happy to take a look at any references you might have on this. Thanks!

  17. That almost sounds like the right wheel brake is dragging. Im sure you have already tried this but it wouldn’t hurt to pump the brakes once and see if something releases, or maybe invert the curve if you have the brakes set in the Axis only column. I will check tomorrow and see how I have it set up and let you know.
  18. South Atlantic Development Report An update to the DCS: South Atlantic map is in development and planned for inclusion in an upcoming DCS update. Every airfield is receiving an optimization pass to lower video memory usage. Texture fidelity is being improved significantly, with airfield textures quadrupling and building materials doubling. Vegetation across the map will now use a new distribution algorithm for denser and more natural coverage. Snow distribution and tiling issues are also being corrected. Normal maps are getting upgraded and integrated across the Argentina and Chile landmass to improve surface relief and lighting response. Airfield lighting and visual systems will receive a complete refresh. All lighting will use new tech, and airfield lighting will react to takeoffs and landings. Ushuaia PAPI lights are getting properly leveled too. Specter Studios is adding animated airfield radar units where appropriate and replacing all wind turbines with map specific animated models, as well introducing a variety of new airfield objects. A large set of airfields and points of interest are being revamped, including: Port Stanley, Ushuaia, Ushuaia Helo Port, Mount Pleasant, Punta Arenas, Puerto Natales, Mare Harbour, Rio Gallegos, Rio Grande, Provenir, Franco Bianco, O Higgins, Almirante Schroeders, San Julian, Comandante Luis Piedrabuena, and Pampa Guanaco. Mission planning quality of life is also being improved. The F10 map will show country borders and helicopter locations along with additional visual refinements. The Mission Editor default date is now the 1st of October, 2024 so summer textures are selected by default for new missions. Once this update is released the map will be feature complete and exit early access. However, improvements and bug fixes will continue. Please remember that you can purchase now whilst the 20% early access discount is still available. Specter Studios has a DCS Forum Page to discuss their projects. Bye Phant
  19. It would be enough to add voice chat to the tactical, Game Master, and JTAC rules. Using the same panel as the FC4 models where you can directly enter the frequency. But it would be fantastic if they allowed integration with external applications. Alternatively, they could also make an effort and create an additional role for AWACS, where you essentially see everything the aircraft sees, because currently the only native alternative is to use the Game Master role, or the fog of war. I had made a suggestion to implements the voice chat in this role:
