Hello, I have a small problem with the use of cluster bombs, specifically the CBU-105, when I create some of my missions I set a minimum wind, literally a breeze, when I get to the target area I drop the 105 on the targets, from a height between 11/12,000 feet, it happens that they totally fail, sometimes I drop only one, sometimes two, but very often it happens that they don't hit a group of vehicles at all, what's wrong or where am I wrong? However, as for the CBU-97, they are much more deadly, I use them even from 10,500 feet and they usually destroy all targets in one or 2 passes...

  4. Btw, just wanna note that this is usually bad advice. XMP is technically 'overclocking', but realistically its manufacturer-defined and the speed your memory is supposed to run at. If XMP causes issues, thats a deeper problem usually.

  8. I had been avoiding DLSS due to the graphic artifacts it caused, especially pronounced in the MFD displays, but the new modifications to autoexec.cfg completely remove the artifacts. Distant aircraft spotting with the DLSS performance setting seems to me about the same as without DLSS. I am now a big fan of DLSS.

  15. Ive actually just read of someone with an I7 7900X (older 8 core CPU), who says hes got 99% CPU usage and the game is basically unplayable. The only way to get such a usage with 8 cores is some kind of bug (or hardware issue), so youre probably not alone. Its not special for bugs like this affect people very differently. Ive seen people with powerful CPUs get 3 cores maxed, while my basic mid tier CPU (I5 12400F) just gets weird load spikes distributed over all cores and isnt as affected. Ive actually played a VR liberation mission today, and ran a bit worse, but playable and fun.

  18. "Now" is not relevant as we don't have any assets or modules from "now" anyway. But yes, India-Pakistan would be a good map for the Cold War era all out wars in the region, especially from 1965 and 1971. As other were just limited scale engagements, not even wars. And 1947 didn't include any meaningful air operations. There is still no Korea or Vietnam, massive many years long wars, with thousands of aircrafts shoot down. Because developers initially prioritize less relevant regions. Probably will happen it the future.
  19. The official documentation (can't link here, per forum rules) says that more than 10s of negative G is prohibited. This limit need not necessarily be fuel related, since engine lubrication etc may also be a factor. Not sure whether any specific failure is modelled, but I suspect not.

  22. Ah. Ok. Then there is hope. I was afraid I very unique problem. And would be left behind if that more common bug was fixed. So I guess I'll just have to wait. Have others reported FPS as low as 5? I've seen other report big fps drops. But haven't seen talk about sub 10 fps.
  23. You can 100% see the IHADSS frame when you fly in real life. It hangs out very obviously in your peripheral vision, and it blocks a bit of your vision in the bottom right of your right eyes FOV.
  24. Thank you - that is some interesting data. What is your point, though? IMHO relative speed is what matters in most encounters, doesn't it? And mostly not at ground level. Uh. That's roughly from 2400 to 3900 MSL (a 1500 ft difference), and "uphill" or "downhill" depending on the direction and part of the leg. What weather and wind factors? Pressure alt and temp? Humidity? Also, I'm a bit confused wrt what these numbers tell us. Most fighters aren't designed for top speed at or close to ground level, they shine high up, where the air (and drag) is rare. IIRC, the eagle gets to top speed (some Mach 2.3) above 20k, and the Mig-29 allegedly is even faster than that. So why are you looking for "top speed" outside their respective performance envelopes? Are these numbers relevant? "Mostly"? So when did you not, what route did you use instead, and and for which planes?

  26. The QAG needs randomization options. At this point, it is a large step-back from even the former Quick Mission Generator. The QAG, at this time, is simply the Mission Editor with 99% culled functionality. It does not provide any 'practicality' to the user, if the goal is to enable players to generate quick, fun missions. I understand that this is the first iteration of what is to come, but it is really not adding any value for the player at this time.
