  1. Past hour
  2. Yes I slid it to 70 fps I have it also at 90fps in Nvidia controls app under the DCS tab. @madmonty I will try more experimentaton with that later.....
  3. Have you checked and adjusted your axis/deadzones in either aircraft?
  4. DCS has torpedoes implemented on WW2 aircrafts and some WW2 and modern subs, the main problems.... has a very simplified funtionality..... The main problem? The Torpedo doesn't work like a torpedo; it looks more like a very stupid, very slow missile underwater. The torpedo doesn't seem to have a realistic gyroscope function implemented to steer toward the target, nor can it be fired in salvos or select the depth or speed. There are no underwater explosion physics, nor pressure or magnetic fuses... we could even say that the contact fuse is poorly simulated. They have no guidance, so there is no passive or active functionality in modern torpedoes (there is no sonar engine in DCSW), and there are no countermeasures. And of course, there are no bubble trails or electric or other propulsion torpedoes (we could almost say it's not simulated).
  5. Heyo, thanks for the suggestion! I've just implemented it.
  6. RS Mig-17F January 20 was the last develop update on your FB https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100066692146603 The last Mi-17F Youtube video was on May 2025 About the Mig-21Bis 2.0 continue on Summer 2024, talked they continue working on them. https://magnitude-3.com/2024/07/13/2024-summer-update/?fbclid=IwY2xjawMITJBleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETA0VnA3NHpnWkRrdmc1aGJ3AR7cW39p1uqu7F7f8dj2KaPhIEI6Avt9BdJv_D5A3gjeZcfwchTj2-p4LbHaPg_aem_e0MEyK5qlgWeRqx51opHkA No i dont expected a Mig-23 yet by ED by the "dispute" has none resolved yet. Meanwhile has many FC-3 Red aircrafts (Mig-29S/Su-25/-27/-33) will turn on FF modules on DCS
  7. Question. Can the DCS engine already handle Torpedoes, or is that something awaiting implementation?
  8. Each time I load my P-47 the break pedals and rudder shake and vibrate. This is regardless of whether I load a training mission or instant action. It definitely affects the handling. The rudder and pedals act as if I were adjusting them super speedily. This doesn't occur with my A-10C II. Any suggestions?
  9. Ultimately, I can work with the Corsair's radio, but it's difficult to use because the sim cockpit is kept very dark. Since I only work in 2D with one screen, I also have problems getting a reasonable view. None of that makes it any easier. I'll try to assign the switches to the keyboard buttons
  10. If the third-party MiG-17 and an updated MiG-21 are actually in the works, I'll bet ED would hit a home run by making a MiG-23. As some of the comments show, it seems to be in very high demand.
  11. OK PC, I downloaded the V3.0.5.3 zip file, copied the VAICOM PRO folder to Voice Attack/Apps folder and allowed overwriting of existing folder contents. I get the attached when restarting Voice Attack. It seems I'm stuck with 3.0.4.0 absent an uninstall and reinstall. If you have any other suggestions I am game to try. Thanks! 12. So, what about the F-8? Is it still planned and progressing, or has it meanwhile been abandonned?
  13. Almost every DCS enthusiast has waited a long time for the Mig-21bis 2.0. But I don't know if Magnitude 3 still has the skillset (or interest) to pull it off. Lets hope.
  14. I vote for the Cobra also.. And not a modern one. We all know that the most common criticism heard regarding DCS World is the sometimes iffy correlation between maps, historical theaters, and period-appropriate flyable aircraft. There are a lot of maps now, and a lot of airplanes, so its better than it used to be, but still some real gaps. For example, strictly speaking of helicopters, I simply don't feel very Cold War-ish, flying around West Germany in a Longbow Apache, late Kiowa, or a glass cockpit Chinook. The Soviets have the Hind-F and the Hip, appropriate for the map, so the --only-- next Helicopter I want to see is an 80s version of the Cobra, with the TOW missiles. Start fleshing out the period maps with the period aircraft!!
  15. I also own a PFP7, so i'm curious to see what Kurisu did to get the PFP3 work, as i would be able to either clone or adapt the mcdu-dotnet lib i used to get the A10C work with the A320 Mcdu. Should come sooner as he updated the Lib to now handle the 777 too !
  16. If I recall correctly, it was mentioned that Deka Ironworks Simulations has lost a developer and has limited time to fix bugs until things are back to normal. I don't know if the 802AK falls under Deka or ED, but it might explain why this issue is still ongoing.
  17. The thing is that in the original direction, the error is negligible and 90 degrees to the left or right, it is sideways and the handoff won't work. Even though that in the original direction it is fine. It should be the same error in every direction you are flying, and if you are aligning at the same range and about the same dive angle then the result should be somewhat close even if you come from a different direction. I hope this was understandable, sometimes things are hard to explain with words.
  18. if you want you can purchase it already, gonna write a clean version and publish it to my github in 2 days Its the PFP 3N actually, but should work with the pfp 7 all the same
  19. I have set up a mission for practicing with the BAT bomb. There are 4 large ships (easy targets) and I have 3 wingmen, each carrying a BAT bomb. I hit the ship I locked on to every time. I'm actually surprised how easy it is to destroy a ship with this weapon. But the wingmen always drop them in the water, far from the ships. It looks as if they handled the BAT bombs like standard AN-MXX GP bombs.
  20. I wasn't trying to convince you of anything, so that makes sense.
  21. Have you tried 72Hz with a FPS setting of at least 120 FPS in DCS? I can´t run on 90Hz, my rig does not have the performance for it.
  22. That's odd. Are you capping your frame rate in DCS?
  23. Today
  24. Hi. It turns out I found the mentions because it was on another thread instead. See this locked thread page and NineLine posts from January. Cheers. P.S.: I'm not saying it is 'official'. I'm just reiterating my previous mention's details on the correct thread. "everything is subject to change"
  25. F-18 aileron travle with flaps down wrong.trkhere it is
  26. I looked at this in depth and found: 1. The BAT bomb functionality seems to be Work in Progress. When I look at the related lines in "clickabledata.lua" there is a comment "/R/ Bat bomb - Experimental" 2. Radar ON/OFF 3-position switch behaves as you describe. I could make it work with some LUA edit. See below. 3. Search button: I bound it to a push button and it does stay in when I depress the button briefly. So I cannot confirm your finding. 4. Target Lock button: Confirm it works as one would expect. For the Radar ON/OFF 3-position switch, I found that the binding "BAT Bomb Scope ON" works as expected. To implement the other 2 positions I added these 2 lines to "default.lua": {down = device_commands.BatBomb_RadarOnOFF, cockpit_device_id = devices.BATBOMB, value_down = 0.0, name = _('BAT Bomb 3-Pos Hold 1 Min'), category = _('Weapons')}, {down = device_commands.BatBomb_RadarOnOFF, cockpit_device_id = devices.BATBOMB, value_down = -1.0, name = _('BAT Bomb 3-Pos Set Off'), category = _('Weapons')}, I bound the 3 commands to a pushbutton each and I can now switch to all 3 positions freely. However, I'm not sure that the command "BAT Bomb 3-Pos Hold 1 Min" does anything. Anyway, I ran a mission with some ships to go through all steps and it works fine now.
