I have been putting the latest beta of A-10 through the paces, and I still think Falcon 4 Allied Force is a better military simulation. I'm not trying to start a fanboy flame war, but I find it incredible that a sim that first started out in the late 90's, and later upgraded by Lead Pursuit a few years back, is still the king of military flight sims. I'm not saying A-10 is bad. It's just not at the level of Falcon 4 Allied Force yet. I hope the final version comes close, and future patches narrow the gap. I would also recommend that anyone considering checking out Falcon go for Allied Force. In my experience the free version of Falcon are more trouble, and Allied Force works pretty much perfectly out of the box. Just get the HiTiles addon and Aeyes widescreen cockpits. Multiplayer is excellent and stable as well. Falcon 4 Allied Force is still the king IMO.

the slew button is also not used, so you could also use that one.. I use the pinky-paddle

Hello simmers, it came to my attention that we need a music player in game, and I mean like silent hunter jukebox. Only, to be shaped like an old cassette player, The switch and its lid = the mute button incorporated to the cockpit textures, say in the lower left corner of the overhead windshield, with depressable buttons, rotating volume knob, and a playlist you cant edit in game, only say in desktop, have to save it like flight plan. Reason why? Well, it gets boring after a while all the humming and toggle Ctrl+C wont cut it..:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Sorry Bucic, I kinda-sorta get where you're coming from, but you need to specify which quirks are breaking the deal for you. That's more helpful than speaking in general, or saying crap like 'graphics guys should have been fired'. Again, I think the slow but definite progress in the graphics engine should be a hint that ED wishes to improve it, but it cannot do it in a time frame that would please everyone (ie. right now). And keep in mind that other parts of the simulator are also improving. Nothing is sitting still. Even if things that you really wish were improved are not, things are still getting improved. Ka-50 had improvements over LO/FC1 and A-10C improves on Ka-50. Quirks are quirks. Perfect software is difficult to get. As far as combat flight sims go I consider DCS to have some of the best graphics in the business.

Yup, will do. Gonna take a little while, but I think I should have it done before A-10C goes live :)

Rise of Flight is close to both. Really nice graphics and a lot of physics. The only thing whats missing is Complex Avionik and Weapon systems :D

With all new AC for DCS we got something new, A10 adding HDR, TSAA, Beautyfull Water, streetlamps, grass... Who knows what another DCS Module brings us? :thumbup: (i bet clouds;)) EDIT: Wings of Prey and Apache AA - shooters for limited entertainment, without physics, "for kids" flying model, with maps big as my bathroom

Our congress just voted AGAINST paying for unemployment benefits yet we are spending gazillions of dollars sending our military to show li`l Kim our "resolve" ... In my mind, the message is: "You see li`l Kim, we can starve our unemployed just as you do it in your country!" And BTW, why don't we have Koreans take care of their own problem? Maybe they can ignore bad guys such as li`l Kim, and have good guys talking and resolving their problems.

Вообще-то в игре, а мы говорим именно про игру... ракеты летают немного по другим законам чем те же самолеты.

Никто не говорит, что А-10С плох, даже в текущей бета-версии это лучший симулятор боевого самолёта на сегодняшний день, а Ка-50 лучший симулятор ЛА вообще, и дело не в том, что он Made in USSR, просто мне кажеться, что вертолет моделировать всё таки сложнее чем самолёт... И вертолёт все таки более хитротрахнутая машина которая, требует от пилота более высоких навыков, и вообще это другой мир... После "Акулы" я влюбился в эти чёртовы мясорубки... Именно поэтому для меня "Акула" лучше, именно поэтому мне безразлично какой ЛА будет следующим: во-первых это будет точно не вертолёт, во-вторых это будет всё равно термоядерная бомба, как обычно неимеющая аналогов...

To me there's no difference between them. I think they have the same detection range too.

dnme, I modified the TrackIR profile to cope with this. You can adjust the curves so that certain view directions are amplified more than others. This way, I don't have to break my neck for the most important views. For example: My movement is amplified alot when looking up- and sideways. I don't need the precision to read instruments, but can comfortably look around when flying steep curves or having a look over the shoulder when passing important points/objects on the ground.

Да карта есть, просто ее выключают. Я представляю ее так, нажал допустим ф11 и видишь район боевых действий с целями -это для штурмов- можно ее увеличить уменьшить . А то я как то вместо Батуми улетел в другую сторону , можно конечно распечатать карту, но в реальности дается карта с целе указаниями.Выключают карту потому что там все ла , вроде как в реале этого нет, поэтому просто карта с целями, типа как летчики берут с собой.

I had to dump this idea. Simply because driving the 1/16 gearing from the "1" side with a servo (big or small) resultet in it not wanting to move effortlessly at all..! So instead I'm now going to drive the gears from the "16" side with small stepper motors. I chose to build this gauge not using my cnc, since I wanted to show that the whole stigma arround instrument building really is overrated. When you brake the seemingly complex mechanics down to each function, instruments are much like LEGO.. ... now all I have to do is figure out how to get it all connected and backlighted and looking good and... Aaaaaarg..! c";) Anyway, here's the gearing done.

Ну Су-27 и Миг-29С в непосредственной близости к линии фронта, это уже перебор, а вот Грачи, Миг-29А и вертолеты, на мой взгляд вполне. Но вариант аэродром подскока, на мой взгляд, куда привлекательнее. Но что-бы вражеские аэропланы на нем не могли появлятся

@El Roto what drivers you using and video card? also OS? and make sure you have not turned aero off or any other compatibility short cut.

Haha, allright then. I'm in good company and understood through misreading. Cheers mate! Too bad I edited my original post. :P It said something along the lines of the default mapping being CTRL+hat for trimming, and unmodified moving the view. Check control configuration, remove the pesky CTRL modifiers, and Bob's your uncle.

Japan's self-defence forces agains the russian federation, nato included there and the chinese forces! We could have a mission on which you have to take your mig-29 to japan in order to scape from russia, and of course you could also play the roll of the su-27s chasing the traitor mig!

Hi Mustang, I don´t have that problem, so there´s no way that I can know for sure that it´s working. But I just downloaded the mod for 1.12 and AFAIK you need to copy: Bazar/Effects/EffectTexturesTGA.cdds to Bazar/Efects Terrain/Surface/High/Coastline*.cdds (all 4 files) to Bazar/Terrain/Surface Don´t copy EnglishCockpit.cdds And now you just need to "tell" the FC20 that you want to load those CDDS before the ones that came with the sim, so open your Config/graphics.cfg with the notepad and look for this line: TextureCollections Just below highFolder = ".\\Bazar\\TempTextures\\";, you need to add these lines: So it will look like: Don´t forget to backup any files that you replace!!!!!
