Thanks. What does it include over and above the Mustang changes for the haze etc as the archive contains some additional folders and files?

Mission 2 Feedback: Spoiler
zildac replied to speed-of-heat's topic in F/A-18C Operation Cerberus North Campaign
Agreed!! -
Your can use the SA page. Make sure data link us turned on. Hover the cursor over the contacts and you'll see aircraft type and callsign in the bottom right of tge display. Trying dropping the scale if it's too busy to see.

Thanks for the tip, it did seem a little odd behaviour wise.

Relatively new to the Harrier, but I've noticed that if I only add T01 to the map it's not imported, if I add T02 it will be imported.

Hey, many thanks for this! Will give it a go.

Mission 4 - Where is Bravo 6!
zildac replied to zildac's topic in F/A-18C Operation Cerberus North Campaign
Many thanks. Guess who didn't go through the knee board pages properly! I'll fly that one again, I think -
Hi, Really enjoying the campaign so far, but I opted to try the additional tasking after the primary and secondary are completed in mission 4. I get the corrds (which appear to be pretty much on BE) and have gone through every channel on COM2 trying to call Bravo 6, all I seem to get is radio static as a reply but nothing from Bravo 6. The message references the knee board, but the radio freq table in the knee board is pretty small. Is there a separate page somewhere? I'm playing in VR so having all the docs open is not really a practical option. Thanks. Z.

It's odd it was a significant drop in the same scenario with the MOD enabled. I haven't had a chance to revert to SVR to try yet. But in terms of options applied I had the defaults except for Shadows off for T + B, Haze reduced by around 50% and shadows softened slightly. That was it as I recall. I’d be interested if anyone who previously used the MOD in SVR has tried the OXR version and has had a similar experience. INI file attached in case there's anything obvious. d3dx_user.ini

Thanks, that was going to be my next question...what file to edit. I'll dig through and edit it, I already have TAZ shaders in OVGME. So will just use that one file. Yeah, I guess it could be related to OXR. Who knows, will maybe try with SVR enabled and see if there's a smaller drop just to confirm or not. Edit: That worked...many thanks

Just been playing with this as I wanted the ability to remove/reduce the atmospheric haze. I'm using the OXR compatible version and have only used the haze reduction setting and disabled shadows for Trees and Buildings. I'm seeing an FPS hit of ~12FPS with the mod enabled, versus it not being enabled. Is this consider "normal"? Seems pretty high, but I don't have a reference point, as never used it prior to going the OXR route.

Thought I'd bump this as I'm really missing the lessened atmospheric haze. @Mustang any chance of getting this working with the latest OB?

remove all unofficial mods supercarrier mod error

Do you have any user mod aircraft installed? -
resolved DCS 2.7.11 - VR cursor persists too long
zildac replied to Raven (Elysian Angel)'s topic in VR Bugs
It's somewhat disappointing, given it can't be that complex to regress/fix.... -
So, just been fiddling with this some more (no conclusion as yet). I've just had a very odd experience in as much as I fired up an instant action mission and had what I thought were NVG's (same lens effect) appear but were in fact the views from my G2 camera?! I didn't think this was possible with the G2 and I have no idea how or why they appeared. I killed off DCS and restarted, and all was back to normal. Have I missed an option to toggle this somewhere, it would be bloody useful in certain situations....

That's reassuring, and yes re the 30FPS dip, that is certainly one of the main benefit this solution appears to offer. Interesting..Is that the "jitter" setting or something similar? I can't recall the menu options off the top of my head.

I'll have another go this afternoon. I do need MR though as the jittery head movement when scanning without a solid frame rate irks me. I mostly fly the Harrier or Hornet. I'll zap my shaders and see. Take it OCC V 0.63 is fine to use still? Are you still able to maintain a solid 45 using the setting you had when using VRPerftoolkit (at 0.80 scaling as I recall and Steam SS @ 100%) or have you had to drop some settings?

I can read the dials and text fine, it's the damn shimmer. Very noticeable difference. Hornet ready on the ramp Caucasus. Look down where the gear indicator lights are. Night and day without/with albedo at 8x
