  1. You're welcome
  2. Reset the "environment" in WMR and also ensure you have sufficient lighting for the tracking to work. This is a common issue with the inside out tracking used on the G2.
  3. Beg to differ... The Harrier is the nuts [emoji23]
  4. This looks VERY interesting....and like it's going to need some serious brain bashing initially
  5. Likewise, for me, it's about the albedo, bloom, simple canopy glass and haze reduction more than any (virtually zero nowadays) performance improvement.
  6. Apologies only just seen this. Re 1) using the OpenXR mod instead of native doesn't exhibit the cross eye issue. 2) try VR zoom or spyglass zoom and see if you feel like you're looking at your nose. If not then you don't need the tool. If you have a dominant eye then you could swap with that in the tool. You can always reset to default worse case.
  7. Looking forward to starting this...we need some more Harrier content!
  8. Likewise, I'm waiting for the full version. Day 1 purchase for me for sure!
  9. See Tazs post further up re what files do what. Filelist.txt in his archuve documents this.
  10. Thanks, I'll give it a go without, but it seems to have been running nicely, if it's even better that'd be great.
  11. Interesting, I've been using it since I got mine a few weeks back (enable if supported), never tried with it off. Was it broken in 5.x too?
  12. Similar specs here and I get very few stutters. Are you using Vsync mode in VB? If not then try it.
  13. Yup, you can change the port in the dedicated server for both the game itself and the Web UI see here:
  14. No worries. I mean the former, don't have the service/port open publicly.
  15. If the source IP addresses you are seeing are "public" then it is likely just scan noise. Skiddiez doing scans for known ports hosting services (HTTP in this case) in the hope they can "pop" one. Example, the Open-Source Asterix PBX software uses port 8088 for its admin GUI, so (and this is complete speculation but just to demonstrate) someone is looking for vulnerable or unsecured instances of the Asterix PBX Web UI, which just happens to run on the same port as ED use for the DCS Web UI... If you’re feeling really paranoid grab a packet capture and upload and link it I'll take a look. But I would suggest the first thing to do is not worry too much about it, it's highly likely it's not targetted at YOU personally, and secondly don't publish your Web UI publicly.
  16. I suspect those inbound connections to your Web UI are just Internet scan "noise". The reason they are "hitting" DCS.exe is because that is the process that launches/hosts the Web UI component and underlying MP server. Either block access to your WebUI from the Public side or let it go. The only real worry would be if a vulnerability were to be found in the WebUI and/or the underlying HTTP server component, but that point rings true for ANY service that you allow unrestricted inbound access to from the "dirty" Internet
  17. No worries. Re point 1, no, not that I'm aware of. You could register for dynamic DNS and tell your mates the name allocated. If it's listed as public, then it is public and will show up in the ED server list to the best of my knowledge. Point 2 If your mate had a static IP or an IP that doesn't change that often then you could simply add an inbound rule on your ingress filtering device (Firewall whatever you use) to only allow the specified source IP's to connect to the Web UI service. Or probably the best way, is to simply set up an IPsec VPN for your mate and that will effectively only allow access via the established tunnel. Bear in mind in this scenario there is the potential for him to have access to your entire local network/s so filter his access inbound via the tunnel accordingly This solution assumes you have the requisite hardware, obviously.
  18. Hi, Re the traffic you're seeing in glasswire, is your server set to "public" as in it will register itself with ED? If so, then you’re right it's likely just discovery traffic. Personally, I don't have mine set as public, so anyone who wants to join needs the relevant IP or hostname (and password). I’ve not done any Wireshark or similar analysis on this behaviour, it's an educated guess. For your second point, this suggests you have the WebUI publicly accessible (NATted) which would make sense if you're running the server on a hosting platform but if you're running it at home then you can just connect to this service locally? There's no need for you to allow it inbound from the Internet at large. There's a raft of scans constantly running against anything on the Internet, and this traffic is likely attributable to that. HTH, Z
  19. Marianas is still not good for me, Syria on the other hand is very smooth (for me at least). Also depends on what else is going on, obviously.
  20. Only way I'm aware of is MSAA increased or render resolution in HMD up, both of which obviously have a performance price to pay. It's an unfortunate feature of the engine. No amount of Nvidia control panel tweaking is going to make a difference in VR contrary to many posts suggesting otherwise.

    OpenXR

The link I sent you is literally the openvr_api.dll in isolation. The D3DCompiler47.dll you can take out of your system32 directory. If not just ensure you rename the one in the DCS/BIN directory, it is older and will cause crashes with the modified openvr_api.dll. The Opencomposite.ini I don't believe is required any more. This is the content of my opencomposite.ini (Varjo Aero): ;Mirror mode outputs a shared texture for use by OBS plugin ;mirrorMode=disabled ;Performance stats enables writing of performance stats ; If enabled press F11 to start stats capture to file ; File is currently output to \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Assetto Corsa Competizione\AC2\Binaries\Win64\teststats.csv ;performanceStats=disabled ;Hidden area mesh fix now is autogenerated you no longer need to put in manual values see changeling V0.6.1 ;enableHiddenMeshFix=enabled ;Use OpenXR layers to handle GUI overlays and HUDs, if set to false will render internally directly onto swap chain before submitting enableLayers=true forceConnectedTouch=disabled renderCustomHands=disabled If you're not using a mod manager, I'd suggest you look at OvGME. Create a folder containing those three files and setup OvGME such that they get copied into your DCS/BIN directory when enabled. If you get that working first then you can look at OpenXR Toolkit which allows you to "play" with a number of other things such as FFR, NIS FSR and so forth.
