There are two factors involved: high-speed hot gas from the nozzle and the exhaust composition. Both are dangerous to other aircraft, personnel, and equipment. It would be great if the DCS simulated these effects. Sent via mobile phone using Tapatalk

I would also welcome the possibility to select the unit type and controller: Unit type: Aircraft > F-16C Controller type > AI, Player, Client That would be absolutely perfect!

[NEED TRACK REPLAY]A/A Radar showing persistent SHOOT cue
Bimbac replied to Bimbac's topic in Bugs and Problems
With the latest hot-fix update, I was unable to reproduce this issue by any means, thus not being able to provide a track. Please disregard. -
G tolerance is a highly individual thing. Many fighter pilots can take even more if they do a proper G Warmup. That is simulated in DCS too, so if you wanna take more Gs, execute a 90 deg 3G turn and then another 180 deg 5G turn in the opposite direction. Sent via mobile phone using Tapatalk

[NEED TRACK REPLAY]A/A Radar showing persistent SHOOT cue
Bimbac posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
After the latest Beta update, the radar in A/A RWS mode keeps showing the SHOOT cue, even if no target is bugged or selected. Please check the attached screenshot. -
[REPORTED] Litening TGP Head no longer stows
Bimbac replied to AvroLanc's topic in Bugs and Problems
I confirm. Same problem. -
That's the way of training that most of the modern air forces use in real life. And if it looks weird to other sim pilots, it doesn't matter at all. Invulnerability + Tacview debriefing is a combination we use in our training as well because it's very efficient and time-saving.

Indeed, but what's needed is actually the opposite - the way it's implemented in the F-14B: using DCS PTT without activating the Comms menu, but still integrating with the appropriate cockpit controls and indicators. Sent via mobile phone using Tapatalk

The SRS is generally incorporated into the most DCS airplanes already, there is just no interaction or ability to map the PTTs directly within the DCS. That's what I've been asking for. The basic functionality is already present, it just has to be enhanced - or "linked" ;)
-
You are correct, but what I miss is the direct interaction with the DCS simulation itself - so the aircraft would provide the necessary feedback, not just the external application. Sent via mobile phone using Tapatalk

Hello ED, Would it be possible to have the ability to map the radio PTT buttons for every aircraft in the DCS to reflect the correct PTT interaction with the aircraft systems? For example, there is an indication on the DED in the F-16 when the pilot is transmitting on the particular radio (I'm not sure if there is an indication for receiving a transmission as well). The point is that most modern aircraft have visual cues to indicate the radio operation, and it would be nice to have the same functionality in DCS as well - the F-16 has this already partially implemented if the pilot transmits within the DCS comms. This feature would be handy for interaction with the external radio software like SRS or UniversRadio, not to mention the future DCS VOIP environment. Many thanks in advance!

Respawned group deactivation script help
Bimbac replied to Bimbac's topic in Scripting Tips, Tricks & Issues
Hello again, I've been fighting with the scripts quite hard, and still unable to get the desirable results. Here is a "Code" for a trigger action which should do the following: If the group is active (within a zone) and that particular group flies out of the zone, the group shall be destroyed and a message to coalition appears. Please check it out: if Group.isActive('M29C') and Group.outOfZone({'M29C'}, {'TRA A'}) then Group.getByName('M29C'):destroy() trigger.action.outTextForCoalition(blue, 'M29C group out of zone, deactivated for safety reasons', 10) end It's a pseudocode basically, but getting it right would help me a lot. Thanks! -

Flight line lighting would also be fine... Sent via mobile phone using Tapatalk

That could be an evolution of the original idea when the dynamic campaign gets implemented. For now, I'd be happy with the feature in the OP. Thanks. Sent via mobile phone using Tapatalk

Hello ED, Please implement a small enhancement to the loadout window (Alt+'). The window could include the option to change the laser code for LGBs while on the ground (so far accessible only through the Mission Editor), which would still pass for the sake of realism because the laser code is adjusted by the ground crew anyway. This feature would make multiplayer missions easier (until a proper Mission Planner arrives) with the ability to fly multiple missions against different targets using different laser codes. That could also work on the other airplanes as well.

Yes please! I would also welcome the page numbers where the change occured, or a black stripe on the left side of the changed text.

Plus the fact that it would be extremely useful for the dynamic campaign. Sent via mobile phone using Tapatalk

I would personally prefer the ability to ask for a specific amount of fuel, and more realistic communications, especially before and after making turns. This and the points that everybody already mentioned. Sent via mobile phone using Tapatalk

I think that both the damage modeling and the missile inflicted damage need some rework. A single Exocet missile sank HMS Sheffield while its warhead was a dud. The destroyer has wholly burned up from the missile's unspent fuel. The fuel itself could act as a dangerous igniter, especially in a form of an aerosol.
