Does your CPU/MOBO have an integrated GPU by any chance? That takes RAM memory out from general use and it's set in the BIOS so you can't see where it is. You can check that.

I think you're confusing certain space game which won't probably be ever seen with a flight simulation like DCS is. The hype train you mention happens usually only close to release when you really see people excited because there is something to be excited about, screenshots, videos, manuals, whatever. Yes, that happens. We haven't seen a thing here aside from a few screenshots and that's mostly to calm the waters from those claiming the module won't happen because they don't see a thing. We aren't now in either of those situations, so nobody knows what seven years hype you're talking about .

Suggestion for a chargeable MiG21bis II upgrade
Ala13_ManOWar replied to Rosebud47's topic in MiG-21Bis
My understanding, given a hypothetical module wouldn't be available right away, is that we are thinking of incoming modules, F-4, F-8, A-7, MiG-17, etc. In that environment a new MiG-21 variant would be very welcome. -
Not to mention, from what you people say about completeness of sceneries, planesets and everything. I believe lately devs in general are trying a different policy with regard to that and they try to give players a bit more than just the module hoping people would find what to do with it. Of course, even though British versions fought in Europe and everything, a Corsair without carrier (not a simple one as we have seen in the screenshots, hence a hell of a lot of work), without either ground and airborne assets, and without a map is less appealing, so it may well be they try to coordinate a bit that so we get a more or less "full" environment for the Corsair and not just the module, if not simultaneously in a short period of time, specially bearing in mind all the things we know being worked on. A Marianas WWII release close or simultaneous to Corsair release plus ground, naval and air assets to crowd it would definitely be awesome!! But M3 keeps being a small team, that's a lot to ask them and if they manage to do that they deserve the highest of the recognitions, which usually isn't seen around here instead of complains. Anyhow, just let them work, they have shown they are doing their best, just let them keep working mates. P.S.: a different thought, if you all remember usually modules aren't released very close one to another (or in sales periods), and we have already some recent releases and if everything goes well a lot more coming this very year. My guess is they (ED here) have to find the right spot to release Corsair without much interference to other modules/third parties and that may well mean we don't see it right away other things are released, who knows…

No, most places doesn't, otherwise why would people complain all the time about updates in this or that module from this or that third party? I recall people's memory is usually quite short and two months of work in this kind of software job isn't that much, at all. I'm awaiting this module as much as anyone, but I'm sure they want to finish and release it probably even more than I want to fly it, not only this one but the others they are bogged with. If they don't say a thing, just keep working, we'll see it sooner than later. On the other hand if they only post screenshots and write on social media maybe they have less time to finish the job, but maybe I'm being gullible and they don't work at all, they don't want to finish and release their modules, and they just sit over piles of money laughing at our wait which apparently is what some people think of third parties, who knows .
-
I'm sure they are all just awaiting you to speak so they come wherever you're just to give you a heads up because you're special. It's not like they should keep working on their pending modules, or perhaps they don't want to sell their work, eating daily is overrated, yeah .

It's a real pity La-9 was being worked on by Belsimtek years ago, or at least talked about they had some plans, I guess as a fleshing out of a Korean scenery since they made F-86 and MiG-15, but apparently they dropped the idea and was never heard of again.
-
Also in take off, setting 11:30 to take off and only setting it automatic once well airborne helps control the sometimes wild 109's take off rolls, though it's another thing to take care of from the checklist so probably not the best for people trying to learn if they are bogged down in procedures.

I'm not sure those details are really important or could affect a simulation, at least a simulation to the level we have here. And that's acknowledging the complexity DCS already has, set aside lesser ones. But maybe it does

What user paint schemes available with launch?
Ala13_ManOWar replied to turkeydriver's topic in Aerges
I'm sure they will as they did with C101. -
People like to talk and make a mess, but no rumours at all, from what Aerges said it's a whole package including F1CE, EE, BE and M, it's like the Tomcat (or Phantom eventually) with several versions in the same module. In this case will be released in that order hence that's why CE is first as you saw in the two tutorials already aired. We don't know price tag yet but they haven't ever mention anything about selling single models at different prices or the like, that was only people talking here, nor we know of further versions though devs said it could be possible should they find the correct information, but any other gossip out there we know nothing and it's only guesswork from people.

correct as-is cockpit instrument reflection
Ala13_ManOWar replied to Tintin's topic in Bugs and Problems
Not sure, but it looks like what are green numbers under light are luminescent and they glow even when not lit or after being lit. Interesting effect if that's realistic. -
buenas tardes, que fue de la vida de belsimtek?
Ala13_ManOWar replied to Pace(VS)'s topic in Español
I don't know but maybe they do in the Russian forum.

I'm just saying they are a small non English speaker team, their apparent "lack of communication" has been addressed around here several times, but they aren't going to learn English all of a sudden just because some people complain about it. That's all. The subject you mention, yes, I guess buildings destruction should be possible more or less everywhere on this map, I just haven't tried destroying all of the buildings to know which ones i can and which can't. Anyhow, remember even no speaking English, they use to address issues with their maps so reports reach them sooner or later.

Progress pictures on the Eurofighter Typhoon
Ala13_ManOWar replied to DashTrueGrit's topic in DCS: Eurofighter
That takes time, think of Hornet or Viper, it would be something alike with regards to complexity, I believe. If you haven't flown any of those before you'll have to study a good bunch of new things. -
After so many years, radio and comms still not working
Ala13_ManOWar replied to primus_TR's topic in General Problems
Or do, it might well be some little thing that is fixed in the next patch, it wasn't broken last week. As I told you, if you fly offline or something where you need ATC, just go stable for now. -
That's right, they were working a whole new cooling system for warbirds, but I don't recall it to be released, some things were fixed in the latest patch though like Dora and P-51 engine bugs.
-
I love how they still don't speak a single word of English but people want them to talk daily or something .

After so many years, radio and comms still not working
Ala13_ManOWar replied to primus_TR's topic in General Problems
Ok, it was working and now radio in MiG-21 isn't. As Art-J also says, there're some reports for other modules as well, sometimes it happens in OB. It does something, a weird chat message appears, but no audio or actual comms. Also some RSBN appear to be broken. I know comms in general are WIP indeed after Supercarrier release with some new comms, but I don't know it that's the reason here. You can try stable if you need to fly it with ATC, it's on the exact previous patch of OB now, I believe. I mean, don't think it's been like that since 2015 as you said in OP, it wasn't and you just picked a bad time to get back . -
After so many years, radio and comms still not working
Ala13_ManOWar replied to primus_TR's topic in General Problems
I have used comms in MiG-21 with both ATC and AWACS in both offline and online missions as recently as this year and the whole last year or so while I was giving this module a new twist. I don't know exactly what you mean when you talk about an issue since 2015. Could you further explain?
