  1. True enough, it's just waiting here to be used....
  2. http://www.lockonfiles.com
  3. Are you sure you named them correctly? Or did you add a skin to the selection? The way it looks.. like you just don't have any texture on there, just the 3d model..
  4. Well it's looking like... I may not be able to view it. So the deal is, that the only way to make it happen is a serious effort or somebody who will put serious effort for it. Other than that it's staying on the hard drive. Sorry I've got a lot of stuff going on, so if somebody wants it, I need to be assured somebody will take the time to get it working. The caveat.. is what you get is what you see.
  5. Yeah I'll have to actually look at the model and see what's up. Bear in mind I haven't even extracted it from the zip file. The modeller had some personal issues and couldn't continue on, so I had to acquise, but I'll see about the pics though.
  6. Yeah though it was an F model though, I don't much like the single seater, doesn't look cool enough :)
  7. Unfortunately it's pretty much dead. So I have what was "completed" so far, but there's not much hope it's going to be ressurected.
  8. RUS-PILOT.bmp should be the filename for the Russians and I think it's US-PILOT.bmp for the US. Get Modman and it has the CDDS Browser, and you can find it in one of the CDDS files, but I wouldn't quote the filenames, but should get you close.
  9. Well... you have to use the hex editor to find the files first, which when you open the .cmd file, you scroll to the bottom, where all the texture names are listed (i.e. the ones that are applied to the 3D model). The thing is though, that each model has seperate rendering techniques, so the F/A-18 model has it's own properties vis a vis the other ones, so you're not able to get the same effect on the other planes. You can edit the textures, but just won't look the same.
  10. Hex Editor, and make sure you make a backup!
  11. Agreed, you foot the bill for the plane ticket, and I'll demo it for the whole trip without sleep :)
  12. I agree, the flight control system is far more better on the A-10 anyways. I've seen them fly for real and even then it doesn't seem any different from what we experience it simulated...
  13. Inbound rep, thank you man
  14. And that's why I have to come over here. As pointed out, I don't need to rub legs, brown nose anybody. I've been in the community since Flanker 2.0 so for me to get things done is because I get things done, and that's why I had to post this here. As it says, nobody on any forum, regardless of "affiliation" or "company", wants to deal with children trying to understand the concept of banning. You read the terms and forum rules, you got to abide by them, point blank. Nobody forces anybody to come here, and quite frankly, it's pretty sad when an old hand like me remembers back on the Flanker BBS on how moderators? We needed moderators?. Sure some handling of the moderation has been over sensitive, but for Chrissakes people, grow up, be responsible for your actions. The more I deal with ruggbutt's crap, the more I deal with anybody's crap because they can't accept the fact that they can't act in the remotest sense of maturity, doesn't need to post here, or on the Ubi forums. As rockwelder pointed out, I did that post because I felt it was necessary, and even posted bulletins on Myspace, as well as the Lock On group concerning "my" forums. So if you can't accept the fact that people in this world on a daily basis don't want to deal with children on a daily basis, grow up and get thicker skins. It'll do you good for the real world out there.
  15. :) I know far too much and people on every side, to have to brown nose. I just handle my business Kolt40Five.
  16. http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/38610606/m/59110528 While everybody will raise the demons for this post, in light of recent events, this update is necessary if you so choose to still visit the Ubi Soft Boards. Scroll down and thanks! Flanker562 Ubi Soft Lock On Moderator
  17. By this screenie I assumed I found it yes?
  18. Speaking of that, I need to get back flying the SuperBug again, it's been a minute...
  19. No there's a slight migration back to the Ubi boards, slowly though. Now I really gotta work :)
  20. Okay okay, here's what I think. Yes STFU and instead of discussing the Pythagorean Theorum of somebody getting banned, what do you propose as a solution? Have the moderators here be more accountable? For what? From what I notice everytime about banning threads, it's the same crap same and same again "Oh he got banned because of no reason" Okay, the obvious solution, Moderators, is to start letting it be known that they're crossing the line, rather than all of a sudden warning levels appear on your profile here. Half the problem is that you don't take the time so say "Hey guy, watch yourself or you're gonna be banned/warning level will increase." That's pretty much 90% of the complaining here. While in a sense he who controls the forum controls much of the opinion, the poor masses do have a say dollar-wise, and that's what's going to hurt. Sure we can't have posters running amok legitimately out of control, but you gotta realize some of the people that got nixed, won't buy the product due to the handling of the forums, and they didn't get an explanation why (Of course obvious out of controlism needs to be stomped quick). If anything PMing the offender is better than nothing. It keeps these retarded threads from going on and on and on.
  21. http://562.50megs.com/LOMAC/Tracks/turning.zip A track I just did for some fun on some turning abilities of the Su-33. As mentioned, to get a tighter turn... you gotta almost stall, and do some other things. Unfortunately at one point I got distracted and almost crashed.. but recovery was easy. LOMAC FC 1.12
  22. Yeah... must do that often eh? :) Ahh.... I think I know maybe where you're talking about but I'll fly it just to see, as I know one mountain lake... I took during a tutorial, I think Su-25 Mountain Flying back in the day, but worth a look-see anyways :) I've flown a bit of FSX and like the fact you can get updated weather. Yes it would be great, and No I'm going to request it :)
  23. lol as much as I fly often on.. I don't even know where that is, and I've been all over the map...
  24. Well... from what I understand of the situation, they felt it was necessary. Like Ice said it's time to move on with the situation and see how it pans out. While Force Feedback in a sense seems like it is a dictatorship, then I was a Czar on the Ubi boards. There's always going to be dissension, or badmouthing a product, but it's gotten to the level not so much where we have to carry little books with ED saying it's a Great Product And Doesn't Have Faults, and march in uniform, hailing the Great Flight Sim. But it's where incessant whining and moaning about issues that cannot, or in the process of being solved. As said numerous times, it's a complex simulation. It's going to be buggy, it's life, and most people never seem to expect it. Mainly from the US, since it's a fast food culture, so they're expecting it to be fixed NOW, when they don't have the patience to realize that this takes time, and get ornery about it. ED knows of the issues, and we'll have to wait until they fix it. That's my take on the "heavy handedness" of the issue. I'm sure the ED guys could wish they could snap their fingers and viola! it's Done! It's Perfect! But it's not!
  25. Just a note from me, who still moderates the Ubi boards, is that I won't tolerate any complaining whatsoever about it. Regardless of any views, I will stress that it's an issue for them to handle through the mods here, not on the forums (I still be the only active moderator, so I'll be possessive on it) there. Wags PM'd me on the issue so I'm aware of the general situation, and really have a "no comment" stance on it.
