  1. Hello, is there a way to translate a tacview file from DCS into a "database" of activities? For example, missiles shot, by whom, towards whom, weapon, hit/kill?, etc? Can just be a list of events from DCS (S_EVENT_SHOT, S_EVENT_HIT, etc). Something like this table (from the DCSServerBot). nullThe events can be displayed in Tacview...but is there a way to extract shots and kills? null
  2. I was testing a mission to try and kill a surfaced submarine (depth = 0) with the F-14B with the Lightening Pod, but Jester could not find it. I had a map marker and did a QDES on the map marker precisely where the submarine was located, and had Jester searching for Ships (Active), but he could not find it. I changed the miz to use a small boat instead, and he was able to find it. For some reason, he is unable to find surfaced subs with the Lightening pod.
  3. ...also, with the improvements to the SD-10, the JF-17 "should" be more formidable. But the lack of DL is a hindrance.
  4. This significantly limits/hinders the JF-17 in multiplayer environments, especially in competitive matches. I hope this is addressed quickly! @BIGNEWY

  8. Within ME, there are three options to hide a Group: hidden - boolean whether or not the group is visible on the F10 map view hiddenOnPlanner - boolean if true the group will be hidden on the mission planner available in single player. hiddenOnMFD - boolean if true this group will not be auto-populated on relevant aircraft map screens and avionics. For instance, SAM rings in F-16/F-18 and AH-64 threats pages When "Hidden on Map" ("hidden" above) is true, then "Hidden on MFD" is automatically ALSO true. This removes the flexibility of hiding units from F10 (hidden = true), but allowing them to appear on the MFD (hiddenOnMFD = false).

  10. track file attached. you can see speed decrease once CBUs are added to PACS, then increase again when pylons set to "NONE" f-15drag.trk
  11. One of the folks in our squad (Royal Waffles) found this...you can load bombs, then take off WITHOUT adding them to PACS (A2G Armament) and the jet will fly as if it is clean (achieving M1.5+), then while in flight, if you add the bombs to PACS, the jet will suddenly slow down, which suggests that the drag of the bombs is not modeled until they are identified in the armament page. This video shows the F-15E at M1.53, then when the CBUs/etc are entered into the armament page, the speed begins to decrease without any adjustment to the throttle. This can be exploited by flying to the AO "drag free", then entering the armament just before attacking, saving fuel/etc.
  12. I am trying to use GB-6 SFWs on a site that has SAMs protecting it (the SAMs shoot down the GB-6). I know how to use "PP1" map markers (channel 36) for the GB-6, but how can I convert a map marker (e.g., "WPT1" map marker) to a SPI for the LD-10 (in Active mode so they loft)? I tried doing a copy/paste of DEST 36 (PP1) to 40 (SPI), but that didn't seem to work. Does it require that I use a sensor to create the SPI (e.g., A2G radar or TGP)? Thanks in advance.

  16. We had a SATAC match today where an AIM-120C was fired on a JF-17. JF-17 launches a PL-5. 120C switches from JF-17 to track PL-5. Not sure the RCS of a PL-5 should re-route a 120C.
  17. While I miss my PAL shots chasing down a running target on the deck (which I realize is unrealistic), I do have to admit that my testing today has been very positive!! Great job!
  18. @plasma1945 we are doing a fight night on the Colosseum Public PvP server tonight. It's like GS, but way better...no lag and better players. And AI balancer in case Red/Blue get one-sided. You should come join us there! https://discord.gg/4KYn53WE
  19. Major difference in PAL at low altitude...I realize this is based on NASA data, but its massive solid rocket motor should push through M2 even at 2k ft, right?
  20. I have a mission with both a Red carrier group (Kuznetsov and accompanying Moskvas) and a Blue group (CVN-71 and cruisers/battleships). When the mission starts, they are 113nm apart. The Red group immediately attacks the Blue group with Sandbox's UNLESS I set their Alarm State to GREEN. However, on GREEN, then the Red group won't fire SAMs at Blue aircraft flying within range. I'd like for them to use their SAMs, but NOT attack the Blue carrier group. Any ideas? The "Interception Range" only applies to the carrier's SAMs, not its Sandbox anti-ship missiles. I have also tested ROE as "Return Fire" with Alarm State as Auto/Red, but that still prevents the SAMs from launching unless they are attacked by anti-ship missiles...and when a Harpoon is fired on the Kuz, it immediately attacks the Blue carrier group with Sandbox ASMs. Blue will not fire on Red. So how can I have two carrier groups in the mission without the Kuznetsov attacking the Blue carrier group BUT still firing on Blue aircraft?
  21. I used AI to fire missiles at me...I'm not firing against them.
  22. I have the same findings...notching is almost infallible after this patch. I have a notching practice mission that I've flown after several updates (to use as a control). I was able to notch all 15 AI-fired AIM-120Cs today (100%)...which I've never been able to do in the past. My tests were done with me flying the F-16 (6 shots) and the F-14 (9 shots). I was able to notch all AI fired AIM-120C using simple beam and chaff maneuvers. All AI shots were look down (I was below the launching aircraft).

  24. Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same issue.
  25. We (SPQR squadron, formerly the competitive division of 141) have launched a new PvP server: SPQR Colosseum PvP Lots of ground objectives, including moving AI tank groups that battle each other, a damaged and retreating submarine on the surface, an outpost with mobile TACAN, and others. The server is on very powerful hardware, so no worry about lag. It is located in Chicago, Illinois and has 1GB internet (both up and down). Our Tacview is done by user, so each player will have a tacview of only their server sessions and it is available on Google Drive within minutes of leaving the server.
