  1. DCS: Antarctica
  2. Yes... though I haven't played at all for a couple months. Just got a little burned out and I've been busy restoring an old Jeep. But I'll be back soon as the Apache and/or Vulkan go live.
  3. Boeing to build 70+ of the US Navy’s first ever aerial refueling drones in Illinois Probably wouldn't as feel bad shooting one down in frustration https://americanmilitarynews.com/2021/09/boeing-to-build-70-of-the-us-navys-first-ever-aerial-refueling-drones-in-illinois/
  4. Me... Vulkan
  5. I turn the FSR sharpen off, the frametime gain allows me to run 4x MSAA depending on the cloud layer involved, I've run it at 2x and it looks fine too.
  6. "I literally turn off the sharpening ... and just use the FSR component " Same
  7. About 3 seconds
  8. Are we anywhere near the Jan 2021 pre orders?
  9. Can confirm the Viper, any shadowy cloud layer and the ground targets disapear.
  10. Just received the Gen2 cable from HP. The new one comes with an off/on switch. Issue solved.
  11. My invoice doesn't mention anything about returning, only that they encourage "recycling."
  12. WOW! that was fast. Like less than 24hours fast. It is in fact a new power adapter AND HMD cable. Edit: not sure why I thought the cable plugged to the power brick, like the Vive.
  13. Same... even without the USB C port.
  14. Result is, DCS looks and performs better than I've seen it. Yes on the sliders. In game FPS counter still reads 45, but I also have SVR motion smoothing enabled. It's the fpsVR frametimes that are most important.(IMO)
  15. Guy I was on the phone with made it sound like this is just the power switch. Here is a pic of both
  16. I actually had the stock cable replaced just a couple months ago, and wasn't required to send to old one back. A working back up would be nice.
  17. Same here. Looks awesome! I'm even running 4x MSAA 100/90 SVR SS and barely hit over 17 ms frametime in Caucuses. Cockpit is gorgeous... even through my old eyes.
  18. Got 1 on the way. The guy on the phone seemed really convinced that this wouldn't help MY issue considering my current MB (ASrock B550M). But I had the same issues with my previous board (MSI B450 Tomahawk). Both current on BIOS updates.

  20. I have zero Oculus experience. Prior to the Reverb G2 I was on a Vive Cosmos Elite. Vive has their own motion smoothing called motion compensation (from the Vive console) as SteamVR motion smoothing had no effect. Perhaps Oculus has something similar.

    SOLD: PointCTRL

    $825 USD
  22. Has anyone tried the Radeon Chill (for VR)? I have both sliders set to 60 I swear it helps. I can crank up the SteamVR SS 140% (to the point I start seeing screendoor) and my frametimes stay about the same. Even if/when fpsVR reports 22-25 GPU side, it it still smoother while banking hard and looking out the cockpit than with it off. I had accidentally set the global SS to auto (which then set to 130%) and had the in game slider at 70%, and it looks great with about 12-14 ms GPU frametime. So I decided to start cranking it up 10% at a time between restarts... resolution kept improving, but frametimes didn't suffer enough to even notice flying around Caucuses. full disclosure, I am also running Speed of Heat's mod, & fholger https://github.com/fholger/openvr_fsr/releases/tag/fsr_v1.0 I am gonna compare with a vanilla, no mod install this evening.
  23. Curious which spring tension users find "easier" to control the fine maneuvering required for air-air refueling. Stiff or light
