Ok, I got myself an X-Key button which I can map to repeat the eject keybind 3 times with one button press. However, something fishy is going on with that keybind. This button works fine in the Tomcat, which as @draconus mentioned above might not actually require 3 presses, however, I'm finding that in the Hornet and Viper at least, sometimes I still have to push the button multiple times to eject. I've checked with X-key's tech support, and their tech said I programmed the button correctly. I've also tried pressing the keys on my keyboard for verification and they also seem to have the same problem. Sometimes I have to press the keys as many as six times to get a successful ejection. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Am I not typing fast enough? How quickly do I actually have to press the key combo to actually expect it to work? I programmed the macro with a half second delay between repetitions, but I've also tried setting it up with no delay at all. Edit: I removed the delay again and now it seems to work about 3 out of 4 ejections in the Hornet. and seemingly flawlessly in the other jets I tried, maybe a half second was too long of a delay.

nope. I don't see that line. I'm pretty sure I setup OvGME right, since it was able to install the Community A4E. I don't have anything else installed that would mess with the F-14's entry.lua file

I'm having trouble getting this to work. I followed the OvGME instructions and enabled it, but the new weapons aren't showing up on the cat in the ME.

Request: Add new F14A/B callsign - GHOST RIDER

Personally, I would love if DCS had a callsign creation utility like EditVoicePack for FSX. -
Last I heard, the F-4 was waiting on some tech that it has in common with the F-14.

I've done some modding to the control .luas before, the only problem with that is it gets overwritten every time there's a DCS update.

I don't know what's wrong with that, I'm not saying we should do away with the default push x3 behavior, just add an option to bypass it. I don't generally hit my eject button by accident, but I have been killed many times in this game by my eject button not registering 3 pushes fast enough. And, unfortunately, most of the macro software I've tried doesn't have an option to send a command three times in quick succession with one button push.

I get the importance of having to push ctrl-e three times, so you don't accidentally eject, but that makes it rather difficult to assign the eject function to a button control. Can we get an alternate keybind that you only have to push once?

the difference is IRL you wouldn't be flying all of those different aircraft. We're not even talking about type rating. We're talking about two aircraft with about as different capabilities as two jets can have. Look, this is a game, you can land the thing however you want, Grumman built a solid jet, it can probably take it. However, if you're looking for advice on how to make landings better, then the best advice is to land it the way its supposed to be landed.

By default each section of the wheel is bound to ctrl+Number Key for quick selection. I have mine bound to a 9-key Osu keypad. -

The Iceman AI is pretty rudimentary, it can't fly a whole mission by itself.

it should work just fine, although IIRC the tomcat has an asymmetric thrust limiter that by default will prevent you from engaging afterburner if the throttles are split.

it won't work with Harpoons anyway because those are fully autonomous fire and forget missiles. Harpoons usually track the first thing they see when they go active.

emergency wing sweep handle popup - missing?

Are you sure you're looking for the right command? I can bind all of them just fine. There are 5 commands for pulling/pushing the wing sweep handle, all of them labeled "Emergency Wing Sweep Handle" Pull/Push/etc -
Phoenix not firing when trigger depressed for more then 3 seconds

I should have four targets in this mission, maybe the formation is too close together for the AWG-9 to resolve as separate tracks. EDIT: it seems that was the issue, I tested it with more spaced out targets and it worked. Also, joNay is right, I don't know how I misunderstood that. -
I made a quick little mission to test out the Phoenix in TWS mode after the patch, but I'm having trouble getting them to fire more then one missile. According to the manual and various tutorials, they normally fire when you squeeze Trigger Second Detent for more then 3 seconds. However, that only seems to be working for the first missile. If I release the trigger and squeeze again for three seconds, nothing happens. I've literally squeezed the trigger for thirty seconds or more and got nothing. I've attached a track file of this happening. I squeezed the trigger multiple times for more then 3 seconds and only got one missile launch. Missile launch bug.trk

I personally would like to see a better search function. Right now you can only search User Files for mods by specific users. If you want to search by Keyword, you have to use the main website search bar, which searches the entire digitalcombatsimulator.com domain for that word.

hey, for those of us who can't shell out $240 a year for the full version of Photoshop, how do we get the files to work in Photoshop Elements? When I open the .PSDs everything is locked from editing and stuck in layer groups that I can't open.
