  1. I've just tried that Nexus version, it runs ok in 2D but DCS crashes on start up for me in VR The only difference I could see on the NEXUS version in 2D on the home key was an additional parameter to define the effect's radius with a default of 0.5. I was using OvGME so easily backed it out and applied the original which is working fine again
  2. Github version.. Nexus Version.. ..assuming this is the link https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/46999?tab=description
  3. These are fantastic, many thanks for sharing !
  4. I just tried it with a hot key to toggle it on and off. Don't notice any difference at all on FPSVR frametimes.
  5. Ah, I now see there's a performance mode check box in the bottom right corner. I was looking on the settings page where you can assign a hot key to it. I've actually assigned end to a voice attack command as with my eyesight I'm essentially blind when I lift my headset I'll try performance mode later too.
  6. For "Performance mode" is that the option on its settings page ? So I assign a key to it and use it in game like the home and end keys ?
  7. If you mean the one available for ASUS MB's since around 22nd March, version 3603 labeled: "- Update AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.2.0.1 Patch A - Fix USB connectivity issue" All the reports I've seen from folk who have tried it say it doesn't fix the Reverb G2 issue. I'll stick to my external USB 3 hub for now.
  8. Very nice, I will have a play with that thanks. I already have Voice Attack on a shortcut to a one-off scheduled task with admin access (I think it was you that suggested it actually). Keep meaning to create one for OvGME. I don't use Target as I find I can use Voice Attack to set 2 and 3 way Warthog switches with keyboard commands. I have a top level VA profile for each aircraft with the VIACOM profile daisychained off each one and a generic DCS commands profile daisy chained off the VIACOM one. Works perfectly. Also have voice commands to switch top level profiles.
  9. Ah, makes sense. Coincidently, I rewatched "No Country for Old Men" last night and so just realised what your profile picture is. Nice
  10. Yes, I understand that, but running it instead of regular WMR just seems to launch WMR and SteamVR. I've always assumed that WMR for Steam VR was just some sort of WMR plugin which allows SteamVR to run from WMR, so presumably it gets called anyway when you launch Steam VR from within WMR. I've never tried Skatezilla's utility. Might give it a try, thanks.
  11. How do you make this work? When I turn my G2 on, regular WMR launches automatically. If I run WMR for SteamVR before turning on my G2, it launches WMR and SteamVR, but SteamVR stalls with "Headset not detected, and asks me if I want to reset it. To be honest, I don't see any issue with launch order. I used to launch WMR and them DCS from a WMR desktop, however, now that I always use Necksafer, it will only launch from SteamVR, so now I launch WMR, then SteamVR, and launch NeckSafer, Voice Attack and then DCS from the SteamVR Desktop. I've never been dropped out of DCS mid flight
  12. Wow, this is really nice, thank you @Sr. Just took an early evening August flight out of Hatay in the Hornet. The mod just makes the already excellent Syria map POP! Set up a Voice Attack command "end key" so I could easily flip on and off and it definately also improves detail definition at range. Don't think it touches fence shimmering but who cares ! The cockpit also seems somehow better, I think it just improves the contrast. The AMPCD colour map for example I usually struggle to get the contrast right for VR so I turn it off - much better with the mod. I have it in OvGME and it's definately a keeper. Thanks again mate.
  13. Thanks. However, I don't believe "Rebar confirmed active in nVidia control panel", ie. "Resizable BAR YES" means that it's enabled in DCS. It may be that our attempt at forcing in on in the profile is unsuccessful, the change to the 3 entries is still guesswork. We could really use an NVIDIA expert.
  14. Me neither, but I was bouyed by the AMD GPU user's Youtube post. As AMD cards seem to enable support regardless of game he "appears" to be seeing a performance increase which is encouraging. Maybe we still need more work to force NVIDIA cards to enable for DCS. Hoping an NVIDIA guru gets on this thread to confirm.
  15. I've posted a new thread detailing the experimental ReBAR config - https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/267048-experimental-resizable-bar-in-dcs-for-nvidia-rtx-30-series-gpus
  16. I've posted a new thread for ReBAR exploration -
  17. I'm posting this in VR because, let's face it, we need it the most ! but it's certainly not intended to be VR specific. With the recent release of BIOS updates for some MBs to enable Resizable BAR (ReBAR), NVIDIA have started to test and enable its use on RTX series 30 GPUs for selected games via game profile updates in its game ready driver releases. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/geforce-rtx-30-series-resizable-bar-support/ On 30th March it released a driver enabling ReBAR for 17 games of which, as you might expect, DCS is NOT one of them. However, a forum member @FoxTwo has identified what is thought to be the 3 "flags" in an NVIDIA Game Profile which are believed to enable ReBAR for a game. The flags can only be set for DCS via a utility called NVIDIA Profile Inspector (https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfileInspector) It should be stressed that this is currently experimental. We have no way to technically verify that the change actually enables ReBAR in DCS and can only go by comparing experience with and without the change. Some of us believe we are seeing a performanace boost but equally this could just be random or placebo effect. If you want to try this there are a number of pre-requisites: 1. Your MB must support ReBAR and have it Enabled. Consult your MB website and update BIOS and enable as required. 2. You must have an RTX series 30 GPU. Install the game ready driver released on 30th March. 3. ALL RTX 30 GPUs require a Firmware update. Again, consult your manufacturer's website (for my ASUS card is was named "NVIDIA Resizable BAR flashing tool") Then go into the NVIDA Control Panel and bring up the System Information window. You should see "Resizable BAR YES". 4. This is the experimental part, so be very careful and backup first. This is very much "DO AT YOUR OWN RISK" Launch NVIDIA Profile Inspector. Select "Digital Combat Simulator: Black Shark" from the dropdown. Click "Show unknown settings from NVIDIA Predefined Profiles" - second button from right on the toolstrip. Use the export button to "export the current profile including predefined settings" THIS IS YOUR BACKUP! Scroll down to the "Unknown" Section. You should see the following.. Note the 3 entries which list 17 profiles. On the first 2, click on them and amend 0x00000000 to 0x00000001 On the 3rd, click on its dropdown and select the only item. You should now see this.. Click on "Apply Changes" and you're good to go. Once applied You can revert those changes by clicking on the icon that appears to the far right of each entry when selected "Restore this value to NVIDIA Defaults" and then "Apply Changes" again. Please report your experience to this thread, whether possitive or negative. If you find any way to technically confirm whether this method is actually enabling ReBAR for DCS, or indeed if we are missing something, please post. AMD GPUS: I know little about AMD GPUs but I believe their series 5000 and 6000 cards already support ReBAR (or SAM as they call it) so you may only require enabling it on your MB - see this youtuber's claim that it is improving performance in DCS - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIU1dHA5JGg
  18. I couldn't notice a difference initially but I always fly with motion reprojection locked at 45FPS. I've just removed that lock, left it as just enabled and flown the same mission without and then with ReBAR enabled. It really seemed like I was getting 90FPS locked for longer periods with it enabled and the average FPS was higher. As @imacken says though, it could just be random. I'll turn on FPSVR reports and try and generate reports for comparison when I get a chance though I suspect my presence will be required IRL for the Easter Weekend
  19. Wow, that's quite encouraging. I'll do some more myself later.
  20. Video suggesting Resizable BAR having a possitive impact in DCS..at least if you have an AMD GPU
  21. ..sorry, I get it now, just select the entry in the dropdown for the 3rd profile and apply with the other 2 changes. Well I've just tried it with an FPSVR comparison and I don't see any improvement in average FPS over the same period. I guess the other point is that there's no way to confirm whether the settings changes were actually correct and therefore effective. And again, like Zildac I'm testing in VR with a G2 not 2D.
  22. I'm probably just being thick here, but still don't understand how you're applying those changes. I see this.. Are you saying I need to change the first 2 entries with 17 profiles to 0x00000001 and the last to 0x0000000040000000 ? ..but on mine, the last one is already 0x0000000040000000 as above. Shouldn't it perhaps be changed to 0x0000000140000000 ? I have no idea what I'm doing here
  23. Could you tell me how to add the flags please. I've never used Nvidia profile inspector before. Do I have to use the Bit Value Editor somehow ?
  24. ..Hoping @FoxTwo joins this thread, or anyone experienced with Nvidia profile inspector who knows how to use it to include specific "Unknown" flags into the DCS profile ? 3 flags have been identified in that list which are specific to the 17 apps that NVIDIA has currently identified as benefitting from resizable BAR and so included them in their game profiles in that latest game ready driver release. The understanding is that those flags must be set for an application to utilize the feature. As it's unlikely that NVIDIA will get round to testing and including DCS any time soon, the theory is, if we use Nvidia profile inspector to add them to the DCS profile, we should be able to try it in DCS. These are the 3 flags (as identified by @FoxTwo ) My ASUS x570 BIOS is enabled for Resizable BAR (didn't need a BIOS update), and I've flashed my 3090 with the tool ASUS provided yesterday so I'm good to go if someone can advise on the above ? (Copying @imacken and @zildac from S-O-H's thread where we were discussing yesterday)
  25. Sorry mate will do.
