  1. I assume you're tried going into Mixed Reality settings -> Environment and done a "clear environment data" ? That solved the problem when I've had it in the past.
  2. Ok, so we've proven that it works with the P-47. The playlist file included in that mission does actually have songs in it. I used the Radio KAOS playlist generation parameters to only insert 20 seconds from each of 3 Duke Ellington tracks (to keep the size down) and I selected tuning static to be inserted between each track. I can clearly hear them when I run the mission and use the F10 command to start the radio playlist. So I'm not sure why you're having a problem inserting your own songs. And I'm not sure what you mean that you "used converted files" ? You don't need to convert any files to OGG format yourself. The software allows import of MP3, M4A and WAV files as well and will combine these and convert into a single ogg file for use in DCS. Can you provide a copy of the ogg file that Radio KAOS generates for you ? You can access it with the "open Folder" button after you've generated it. It is always called "KAOSTransmission.ogg"
  3. Thanks for testing. I guess it makes sence that if you want to release countermeasures you'd also want to try an break lock !
  4. Hopefully so. I've just posted in his user files thread suggesting he try 2.7.9
  5. It seems that Simplex is also no longer maintained judging by the last comment from the developer in User files..
  6. Thanks for that. I have a question though.. When CMS it configured as Semi, CMS AFT consents to appropriate release after "Counter" prompt When ECM is also switched on, and xmit = 1 , CMS AFT will activate the ECM So, what happens in the scenario when ECM is currently inactive, "counter" is heard and you press CMS AFT ? Is ECM also activated or just CM released ? I would assume the latter If so, or you decide not to consent, is there are fixed time after which CMS AFT can then be used to activate ECM rather than consent to the previous "Counter" prompt ?
  7. What about your CW+IC variant ? It doesn't have any upfront cost either and works in Multiplayer
  8. It should be possible to configure exactly what you're looking for with software such as VoiceAttack, as it supports mapping of short and long Hotas button presses to any keystroke combination. So, don't do ANY mapping in DCS. Map your Hotas Mic buttons for each radio and intercom transmit to short-press VoiceAttack commands, and map those commands in VoiceAttack to the DCS comms transmit key combos. There's your comms menu commands. For VOIP, map those same HOTAS Mic buttons to long-press Voiceattack commands, and map those commands in Voiceattack to the DCS VOIP key combos. You can do that generically, or have a seperate Voiceattack profile with different mappings for each aircraft, then just switch to the appropriate profile depending on what you're flying. I'm a Viacom user so a little more awkward, but I could still achieve it by using short presses to toggle the Viacom voice recognition on and off for each radio, and long presses as above for DCS VOIP. So to speak to Viacom, I'd short press, speak the command and short press again.
  9. I'm not seeing that. I'm on 1.21.4 and mine starts Custom
  10. Perhaps just a simple mic toggle button VOIP On/AI Comms off - VOIP Off/AI comms on
  11. That solution doesn't work if you're a Viacom user where you need to hold the PTT button while speaking your command to Viacom. Only solution I can see is to use a modifier with radio buttons for AI, and no modifier with the same buttons for VOIP. Or vice versa if you prefer. Perhaps even use a switch modifier rather than a held modifier to flip between AI and VOIP radio function.
  12. Have you tried clearing out fxo and metashaders2 and running a full DCS repair, then install IC pass ? Sure you have the 2.7.7 version of IC pass not the 2.7 version ?
  13. must be me. Shows how much of a hit 8-10 FPS was in VR between versions !
  14. I'm running Clear Water with IC pass on the new build today with no issue Haven't tried Clear Water without IC pass. Maybe something still in that version broke it though seems unlikely. I actually find the IC pass version pretty much as performant as that version these days, and there's no shader rebuild time with it after an update.
  15. ..and maybe I've just forgotten how much better 2.7.6 was than 2.7.8, but Marianas seems a lot better optimised now to me. Is it just me ?
  16. I was too late to comment on the FPS loss thread, but I have to say, I really wasn't expecting it, and ED weren't admitting it, but they sure as hell fixed it !!! My frametimes are right back to 2.7.6 !!! You've got to hand it to ED, Great Christmas present !
  17. I can confirm that. The Shadows for Reduced Frame Rate mod fails IC check.
  18. ..did you get anywhere ? Did you try the mission I attached above ? If that works for you try changing the P-51 in it with your P-47 and see if that works and maybe we can narrow it down.
  19. Just a plug for ECHO 19's new Viper and Hornet sound enhancements. Massive difference in the in-cockpit sound in VR in my G2 (as well as external view sounds). Much more realistic engine sounds in cockpit and considerably louder. I had to turn up my helmet volume to hear the radio over it! Great for increased immersion. https://www.echo19audio.com/download-page I should state that I'm not affiliated to ECHO 19 in any way. Just a growing fan. Both the Viper and Hornet enhancements are Saved Games only implementations. A line in their read-me states "Install via OVGME is not yet supported". However, I believe that's only because they don't come in OvGME folder structure. I set up OvGME folder structures for both of them and they install and uninstall like any other mod. I haven't tried their new "Core" sounds mod yet as that requires seperate Saved Games and Application installs (though I reckon it could be trimmed down to just a part of the saved games install for the non-aircraft sounds - explosions and the like)

  20. There's also a little autopilot trick with the Hornet which helps a lot When you're getting close after pre-contact, press either the BALT or ATTH A/P button, then immediately press it again. The second press disengages the attitude or altitude hold part of the A/P, but not the A/P's damping effect (that is only cancelled when you press the A/P disengage paddle or break it with a large stick movement). Your small stick movements will now be damped as you maneuver and you'll find it much easier. This only helps as long as the tanker is flying level. If you have to start banking with it your increased stick movement will disengage the A/P damping.
  21. It's from the official ED DCS Discord channel so I hope it is him!
  22. That kid's a genius! Kinda reminds me of myself at that age...oh no wait, I was mostly just trying to find ways to get drunk and pick up girls
  23. Hi @Rudel_chw, Thank you so much for these fantastic resourses. I did initially have the same issue as SilentSierra above, but have now installed the Desert Farp mod and everything works perfectly! You might want to consider editing the user files entries to state that Desert Farp is mandatory for certain airfields (particularly as V3 is now a saved games version). It threw me for a while as the ME allows insertion of those airfield resources but then immediately invalidates the mission so it is not savable (or even possible to open it again in the ME). Thought I must have corrupted DCS somehow and ran a repair. Thanks again, Shaun
