  1. Well, that's no surprise. Probably needs some time to ripe.
  2. I don't think that is necessary. When you did a slow repair, all DCS files are ok. Do as Max suggested. Just rename the Savegames folder. Another thing is, you could delete the nvidia shader cache, too!
  3. Ahh, confused that. Sorry. Too excited.
  4. That‘s the way! Guys need to fly helicopters more to appreciate the use of power for fine trim. Perhaps a new perspective does help. Imagine flying at a stable attitude (speed and altitude constant). Now change either one, trim or power - what is the result?
  5. Is it released already? I can only find the ".22" build. Do you have a link?
  6. You're right. That's a very weird issue. Never saw something alike. You could torture me and I couldn't guess if it is an issue with the GPU-driver or DCS...... I would probably try an older Geforce-driver just for testing. Since you already did the DCS repair.....
  7. I just try to imagine to go on a night hunt for insurgents with a Chinook.... Something doesn't add up
  8. Never seen anything like that…. Are you using some kind of post processing? Like Reshade? Have you updated your GPU drivers lately? Just some ideas.
  9. For a lawyer you don’t read very carefully. I didn’t say that not caring about visual is silly, but that it is silly to suggest that it is a good idea for a developer to do only one thing without caring about the other*….and in the same sense that a lot of (I assume most) care about both. *And for the record, I don’t think that Polychop did that or that the visuals are particular bad. I can however see some spots where they don’t meet the current standards and could use some polishing. I don’t think though that they limit in any way, shape or form the overall appeal of the module.
  10. Expecting a developer to a „cater“ to a function >> form crowd is equally narrow minded as expecting them to cater to a form >> function crowd. And the notion that the visual standards set by modern DCS modules (ED and 3rd) party doesn’t matter as a reference is somewhat silly tbh. I assume that a lot of (probably most) people are interested in both. It is also valid to point out some obvious shortcomings of the module in the current state. Visual and otherwise. The fuzz some people make out of it is just completely out of proportion imho. If people would just state their feedback in a factual way and stay away from attacking the developers or assume careless or malicious intend, I‘m sure the developers would happily improve their product as suggested and as resources allow……
  11. I see
  12. I recognise Wilma from Buck Rogers, but where is Nikita from?
  13. Probably a fluke in the telemetry sent by DCS. Maybe worth a bug report.
  14. Some older aircraft have a real long idle time after pulling the trigger before the first round actually goes off. Maybe the telemetry sent doesn’t take that into account?
  15. Not perfect (missing downwash), but looks good all in all. (to be fair, no helicopter in DCS so far (as I'm aware of) simulates rotor downwash on rain drops. And tbh I don't even know, how that would suppose to look irl!)
  16. @VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants Does it blow away when you pick up speed? (Or even better, when you pull collective - that would be awesome)
  17. Funny thing is, when you use TelemFFB with the Rhino, you don't even notice that the FFB implementation of the Chinook is missing or incomplete. That is the beauty of it - all effects work perfectly uniformly throughout all modules. Of course that doesn't benefit users of other devices or free ED from delivering a proper integration.
  18. that's a little bit exaggerated, don't you think? Plenty of things that could be improved in the Kiowa (mainly sounds for me), but the visuals are the least of my concerns.
  19. Puh, I thought it was just me........
  20. I think I read somewhere, that classic black text on a bright background is actually easier on the eyes. Dunno. However, getting blasted in the face in the evening or at night by a bright screen is really uncomfortable to me, so I do prefer dark mode as well.
  21. Dude, the forum has dark mode for years….
Also indicator rechts, rechtes Pedal, Indikator links, linkes Pedal.
  23. That explains why I couldn’t find the safety pins! Next time I run into an issue I will save a track.
  24. Sorry, when I tried to replicate the issue it worked. Wonder if it has to do with the arming pf the ejection seats, because this item was grayed out and honestly I have no idea how to arm them….
  25. No, sorry. I will try to reproduce the issue later, when I‘m home again.
