  1. Looks like rumour to me but it deserves its own thread if its true.
  2. The site is legit. I've bought a few things off them. For this, I reckon they'd just send you a key which you can redeem on Steam/activating a product downloaded from ED.
  3. You could do something in TARGET which would do that. Perhaps not ideal, but not bad.
  4. I'm pretty sure you got more than 3 activations with BS1. I had 3 left when I last installed it (after a windows reinstall)
  5. Good prices here at the moment. (at least in the UK) http://getloadedgo.com/
  6. The only thing that has been consistently good in all three films is that they all have some good action scenes. The final fight between Anakin and Obi-Wan in Episode III was mostly stupid rubbish though. They really upped the dismemberment-count in EpIII as well.
  7. You could join up with http://flight-sim-fanatics.com/index.php . Those guys ask no commitment and are good to fly with.
  8. If you thought power and engine management was hard in the original x wing games, imagine what ED would do. X-wing start-up sequence? phew!
  9. Don't dance whilst eating. You'll make a mess and get indigestion:D
  10. Ahem!
  11. Just play/fly what you have instead of obsessing over something that's not yet available. Delays happen all the time in game development. They are frequently much longer than this. Although some are shorter too. Chill peeps :)
  12. Stay safe guys. All the best. If the US gets a hurricane, we get "kinda windy" around a week afterwards. I know it doesn't compare.
  13. Stuff: Often accompanied by nonsense. See: "stuff and nonsense". Nonsense and stuff should not be confused, as they are separate concepts. Can any of the testers elaborate on any nonsense taking place?
  14. I have it, but I'm not very good with it. In fact I'm barely functional yet.
  15. Sounds like you might need to lubricate your stick (oo err.). There's a thread on how to do that somewhere in the input/output section. I've been thinking of looking into that myself.
  16. When you're out of position, shouldn't the "latched" light change to "disconnect"? I wasn't totally full (unless I've forgotten how to properly read the fuel guage, which is entirely possible), but I'd taken a significant amount, which is at the very least a partial win for me. Edit: Just had it when the boom was at green, so it's definitely a replacement for "transfer complete". It also shows that I'd forgotten how much fuel the A-10 holds, as the guages were just above the 4.
  17. It clearly is something that is very difficult in real life. Otherwise this wouldn't have happened. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1966_Palomares_B-52_crash
  18. Fair enough. In that case, Wags' answer is great and mine was ok-ish (if I say so myself) Wags can be more right on this sort of thing, as he's part of the team and all that. Seems from his post, he probably made part of the Campaign you're flying right now.
  19. Well done, you chose one of the GOOD ones!
  20. I...er...I think I managed this tonight! It still takes me several connects to do well, but they're now frequently around a minute long. I'm getting better. Is the sign of a successful refuel when the tanker guy says "disconnect", but the little light next to your HUD says "latched"? I assume that's him telling me I've had enough.
  21. I just was practicing refuelling. I'd done better than ever before. I broke from the tanker and was sorting out systems, getting ready to RTB, when CRUNCH! I'd flown canopy first into the underside of the tanker. A slight glitch caused me to stick there, dead, but still attached to the belly of the beast. It took several miles of flight before I broke apart, and my plane destroyed the tanker too!
  22. Which is why I don't understand why so many posters assume that it will make the entire sim run in a more multi-threaded manner. (although I can see how there could be some benefits of that nature)
  23. What campaign have you been flying, George?
  24. It really depends on how the specific campaign is structured. With the campaigns released by ED, it's usually "succeed in objective - progress to next mission". However, succeeding in your objective does not guarantee a score of 100. I think that can relate to whatever the mission designer chooses. If you take ED's Georgian Oil War campaign as a different example, the campaign is split into stages with 4 missions in each stage. You can move backwards and forwards through the campaign based on your progress in the previous mission. This particular campaign is basically a force-on-force scenario and the scores given to the player reflect mainly the number of friendly units left on the battlefield compared to the number of enemy units left. Caveat: I'm not 100% sure anything I just wrote is correct.
