Did you install the steam version? You probably picked a bad time to post that, as there's just been a major update released and people's attentions are all over the place. I'd suggest going to this page and downloading DCS World http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?ProductId=21&end_pos=137&scr=product&lang=en the torrent frequently works best. Then go to this page and download the A10 module http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=8&end_pos=136&lang=en You can activate this with the key you have received from Steam, and you'll be running the most up-to-date version, and be able to have much more options if you like to play online.

I'm in the odd situation that I don't think I'd really play CA much, but I suppose I could benefit from it if I were flying in a mission that was using it. Still on the fence myself. This is not due to it being in any way bad. I just haven't figured out what use I'd get out of it.

I very much doubt it. DCS: P-51D Mustang is still in Beta. There would be very little chance of any sale or price drop until sometime after its release.

Personally, I keep the BS1 installer files handy so I don't have to DL again (even though I have the disc), but don't keep it installed. I only install it when I have to install a version of BS2

I presume that mission designers will be able to choose which version of a plane is available in their mission. Ie. they could specify the hypothetical ED F18c or the hypothetical VRS F18C. I think this could be necessary in case there are severe discrepancies, resulting in advantages and disadvantages.

You can use the PVI to determine wind direction & Speed. I don't know how it works, but you can.

Other technologies than PhysX have done similar things. EGO and CRY engines have demonstrated soft body physics.

Which is why it's so far only been for some nice little extra effects rather than something that was required. It was pretty nice in Mafia 2 and in the Batman games though, to be fair.

Is the physical metal APU Switch on the Throttle actually moving when you move the throttle lever over the idle detent? If that is the case, that's not normal behaviour.
