  1. http://www.break.com/video/insane-skill-with-an-rc-helicopter-2493215 I can't tell if this is real or not.. I think it is.
  2. Outlawal2 found out something pretty profound. Does ED know about this? I'm going to try this when I get home. Is there easy way to check what my Huey version number is? Or as long as I used the auto-updater, I most likely have this issue? Thanks.
  3. "UPDATE: Due to requests from supporters we have added two new pledge levels to kickstarter." I wonder who requested these pledge levels if there are still zero pledges for anything above $500?
  4. Interesting. Hope this goes well.
  5. "Everything is subject to change." It very well could be left in the dust still. Right now, yes, it's safe. I doubt even Wags knows the future of The Black Sea map and the soon to be, out dated (IG) engine when EDGE is released.
  6. I was thinking the same thing. When we get EDGE and Nevada, it's going to be more than just changing theaters of war. It's going to mean 2 different sets of effects, particles, objects, lighting, sound? etc. etc. They are going to have to pick 1 to move forward with I would assume. It's essentially two different sims.
  7. That means nothing. That's only what is currently possible. Right now. The consumer version might have more than a 1080p screen. The release date is still a far ways off, heck with their new funding they might develop an in-house screen. Anyway, you can't compare the Rift to 3 monitors. If all you care about is resolution, get a monitor. The Rift is about being fully immersed in a 3D environment. Can you get that with monitors? I think not.
  8. I hear ya, totally. I'm VERY excited about what ED is doing. EDGE, new maps, new planes, etc. It's awesome. I just think the Rift is the best thing for flight sims... since joysticks. The fact that they're in the middle of making a new IG (EDGE) means that they have the PERFECT opportunity to integrate OR support. But again, that's just me.
  9. Yeah, kinda wish ED had the same enthusiasm about something this groundbreaking. It's like they see one major problem (not being able to see the keyboard) and are like.. nahhhhh. Not worth it. If they had purchased the Dev kit, they could be figuring out right now how to go about solving the problem.
  10. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFL-55Kn1Y8&t=2m54s This dude seems pretty enthused about it ;)
  11. Let's hope this project fairs better than this one! EDIT: It actually has already made more ;)
  12. I'm confused about one thing, he mentions a few times how it's going to be a completely "stand-alone" game. Does this mean it will NOT be a DCS: World module, but a separate executable all together? Thanks
  13. Hi, I wasn't really sure where to put this, considering it's not really a bug, but something that I think should be looked at. I recently talked my brother into purchasing the DCS: P-51. I told him to initially put the flight dynamics to "Game Mode" so he could get the plane up in the air easily. He does not have rudder pedals (and therefore, no toe brakes) so even in Game Flight Mode, it's still really difficult for him to taxi. I think while in game mode, taxiing should also be fairly simple. It should keep the "locked tail wheel" but just have a greater degree of steering. I feel bad watching him go in circles before he can even get the plane to the runway, and I would think this would increase the enjoyment level of future P-51 pilots that are just getting into a DCS level simulation. Thanks for reading! -Kris
  14. Interesting. If you don't like the default campaign just download another one. Or better yet, create your own. I mean, honestly, how could you complain about a campaign when the developer has left ALL their tools available to you? You can not only create your own missions/campaign, but you can modify the already existing one to suit your needs. But to answer your original question, no, you're not doing anything wrong. Yes, there are areas of the default campaign that could be better. But why complain about it if there are other options available?
  15. That would be because you cannot click anything in the cockpits. This is Flaming Cliffs. No clickable cockpits included. Sorry :(
  16. That is the plan, but not under the Flaming Cliffs name. In FC3 they are including 6Dof 3D pits, AFMs, and new 3D Plane models, but when the time comes to bring these planes to full DCS quality, they will most likely be released as separate $49.99/$59.99 modules. For example: DCS: Su-27, DCS: F-15C, etc. Including the AFMs in FC3 was just a way to help fund the full DCS module by getting some more people interested in FC3 (which worked, because I bought 2.)
  17. That is quite the question. I do not have an answer, but the fact that question could even be asked in a flight simulator, makes me want to go fly the shark right now. I freaking love this sim. Sorry for the OT.
  18. +1 for 6DoF / 3D cockpit for Su-25T. I hoe that comes at some point.
  19. There is a way to do the alignment in flight. Not sure how though.
  20. Thank you! =P
  21. +1 for the correct buttons implemented. Also, are they planning on allowing us to set the throttle as an axis? I'd like to use my extra axis on my joystick as the throttle but I didn't see it in the AXIS menu for UH-1H.
  22. Ok, I just figured I'd throw it out there ;) Maybe the model itself doesn't have the soft selection set correctly. Anyway, cockpit looks great Ricardo!
  23. Hey Ricardo, I'm not sure if this is the model itself or something off with the specular map? But I'm seeing a line through the dial with certain lighting.
  24. Yes, it will have the new cockpit.
