Russian Air Force Photos and Video (NO DISCUSSION)
4c Hajduk Veljko replied to Flаnker's topic in Military and Aviation
What evidence does it take to convince you? By your logic, I can say that F-15 can not carry 8 AMRAAM's. Even worst, F-15 can not engage four, let alone 8 targets simultaneously. Show me the video to prove otherwise. If you find a video, then Ill have more questions for you ... Thus, what do you want for an evidence that Russia had or has R-77 in its service? Let me remind you, there is no need what so ever for Russians to carry live R-77 around. Every landing with a live missile reduces the life of that missile, did you know that? -

Very nice indeed. Galeb G-2 is a Yugoslavian legend. G-2 was born during times when we relied on our own industrial/scientific resources to build sophisticated equipment. G-2 was declared the best trainer aircraft in the world at Paris air show back in 1963 (Source: Aeromagazin Br. 89, Oktobar 2012). -

Brazil wants technology transfer. That's probably the main reason for the purchase of Gripen. Russia is offering T-50 to Brazil with the option of technology transfer. -
Big disappointment for the lack of Force Feedback. It looks like FF is a challenge that no PC joystick manufacturing company can take on. Sad ...

Su-25KM Is this in Production?!
4c Hajduk Veljko replied to Bee_Sting's topic in Military and Aviation
Su-25T had integrated ECM suite which included Pastel (RWR), Suhogruz (IC jamming), chaff and flare dispensers and Gardeniya (radar jammer/ECM). I don't know what display system was used for Pastel. -

What if the small number of units was tested, the MoD decided not to place order for the type. However, those few units are integrated into the armed forces and are used for special operations? There is no evidence that Su-25T was NOT accepted into the operational service. Yefim and Alan's book clearly states that the "small unit of Su-25T was accepted as operational". For me, that's good enough. I understand that, on this forum, some just don't take Yefim Gordon's word as credible. Those have to add the name of Alan Dawes to their list. And that is all right and I accept that as well. -
During the night, the laser will, with laser precision tell you where it is at. :) And instead of firing one, just fire three (or 15) mortar rounds, and one (or more) will go through. On a more serious note, it is a fantastic weapon for drones.

Su-25KM Is this in Production?!

All right. There is a lack of information and you made things up. Understandable, due to the fact that only few aircraft were ever produced and entered service. Su-27, Su-33, F-15, MiG-29 symbology in FC is not a 100% accurate either, is it? I know I am "beating the dead horse" by bringing the Yefim Gordon and Alana Dawes book "Sukhoi Su-25 Frgofoot: Close Air Support Aircraft" as a reference. On page 107 and 113, Kh-29T is listed as Su-25T weapon. On Page 115, the KAB-500Kr and KAB-500L are both listed as Su-25T weapons. I just can not imagine that Yefim and Alan have just "come out of the blue" and while smoking marihuana made up a book with all this information. You might not have classified info on all these weapons, that I understand. I understand and accept that. However, this statement of yours, does not deny existence of the Su-25T. It simply states, that the way it is modeled in FC is what you think it is in a real aircraft. -

Pay attention my friend. :smilewink: Alfa used two phrases: 1. "operational testing" and 2. "... entered actual service". Focus GG, focus ... :smilewink: Rejected after it entered service? I would say, most likely, yes. Also, I have no idea ( do you) what does Su-25SM upgrade is about? Is it upgrade to existing airframes, or was it a completely new manufactured airframes? Please provide source of information. All right, I'll give you this one. -
Su-25KM Is this in Production?!

And what does it mean when in the book it says "currently operated by Russian air force"? Russia did what it could do with very, very little money it had at the end and after the Cold War. Nothing in Russia happened by NATO standards, but by the standards of the extreme shortage of money and human resources. Thus, small units were built, tested, and some of them introduced in operational service. That's what happened with Su-25T which is similar to what happened with MiG-29S and R-77's. So what if it is not? What is your point? Your main argument is the number of produced aircraft? How many time have we covered this argument so far? But, let us do it again. Russia did not have money to buy any large quantity of anything, let alone expensive new technology aircraft that it did not immediately need. Thus the small numbers of weapon systems, such as Su-33, MiG-29S, Su-25T, R-77 and so on. Even if there is only ONE Su-25T in service, that would mean that it is operational in service and that's it. Would Russia win the war with ONE Su-25T? For sure not, but it still makes Su-25T operational, in service aircraft. And we have it modeled in DCS, and it is cool! -

I don't know what does it take for the aircraft to be recognized as "entering actual service"? On page 111 of the "Sukhoi Su-25 Frogfoot: Close Air Support Aircraft" it says that the "small number of the Su-25T aircraft are being operated by the Russian Air Force". The Su-25T's were built from from ground up, they were not existing modified airframes. Su-25T's were involved in the Second Chechnya war, with specific list of targets they destroyed. And according to the aforementioned book, small number of them were operated by Russian Air Force. Russia was in bad shape and simply was not able to order large quantity of anything, however, they did everything they could to maintain the scientific and production capability of the high technology aircraft. -

Which aspect of the Su-25T in DCS does not represent reality? The Su-25T was a real aircraft, the cockpit looked as what we have in the DCS, Su-25T participated in the Second Chechen war. On the very sleeve (when you open the book) of the Sukhoi Su-25 Frogfoot book, it says the following, quote: "A small batch of Su-25Ts took part in a number of small "local war" scenarios, most recently in Chechnya" On page 106 is a picture of the cockpit front panel with the HUD and Shkval screen. On page 156 of the book, listed are few specific targets destroyed by the Su-25T. Detailed description of the navigational and targeting system are listed in details on pages 103 to 111. -
Serbian edition of "Russian Word" reports that One of the construction biros in Russia is working on the ARH AESA radar head for the advanced K-77M A-A missile. Apparently, T-50 will be equipped with this missile. http://ruskarec.ru/news/2013/12/04/lovac_pete_generacije_t-50_bice_opremljen_raketama_sa_digitalnim_kontrol_26707.html I wonder does any current ARH A-A missile use AESA radar head?

Saitek EvoForce had a spring centering system, and was more then capable to hold the stick anywhere within its displacement range. Spring centering system, and the spring itself, is not strong enough to overcome the force of the Force Feedback actuators. Thus, the stick can be held anywhere, without any problem. 5kAipkQwBvU&feature=c4-overview&list=UUOIJDi-Ksdfjez4aT1Xhd_g

Russian Air Force Photos and Video (NO DISCUSSION)
4c Hajduk Veljko replied to Flаnker's topic in Military and Aviation
It is not about evidence on this forum. There is way too much spin with some "facts" and "evidence" here. And there will always be somebody who will ask unreasonable questions, regardless of the evidence presented. BTW, F-15 can not carry 8 AMRAAM's? Show me a picture that it can, training missiles do not count. This is the type of a question that can not be handled properly on this forum. Same as showing the picture of MiG-29S with one or six R-77's under its wings. Talking about R-77, Russia had every reason to be secretive at the end of the cold war and collapse of the Soviet Union. With the collapse of USSR, integrated defense collapsed, integrated industrial complex collapsed, integrated educational system, health care, judicial system, collapsed ... A lot's of people struggled to make it enough for food. It makes a perfect sense that with what little they had, the Russian military was very secretive and was very careful to not expose its hardware to unnecessary wear and tear. And even with USSR collapsing, there was no need to carry or use R-77's. That is additional reason for the R-77 not been seen often. Therefore we don't see R-77's being carried around. Even today, you don't see R-77 carried around ... I am sure that, if there is a conflict with Russia needing R-77's, you would see them all over around. -

Was there any need ever for Russia to use R-77? I am sure your sources are to be believed with the top secret info, such as availability and stock quantity of the deadliest mid range ARH AA missile in Russian military inventory. Because it is available, and has been available for almost two decades. This is pure speculation because you just don't know. The facts are that we do know the missile exist. The 9.13S (MiG-29C - "C" is Cyrillic here for "S") was an upgrade to install updated N019M Topaz radar for the R-77 missiles. And R-77 was test fired and 16 MiG-29S were delivered to Russian Air Force. And there is a picture of the MiG-29S (Blue 05) in the air with six R-77's. WOW, after so many years on this forum and so many times this subject was covered ... Well, I've heard nothing but good things about R-77. GGTharos, in your own words, R-77 has a longer range that AMRAAM. It doesn't take a rocked scientist to figure out that R-77 is more maneuverable then AMRAAM. Specially against the new AMRAAM's with shorter wing span. As far as active radar seeker, and some other information, that we don't know simply because the missile was never used in real life. And, by the way, RVV-SD is available today! If you say that RVV-SD has not be seen, I will say that F-15 with 8 AMRAAM's have never been seen either. :pilotfly: Source: Yefim Gordon Mikoyan MiG-29 -
I wish Saitek does a better job filtering analog signals. Slider on X52 and X52pro is just a bout useless. Just because the signal is not filtered properly.

Power cord (cable) can be plugged to the front of the joystick. And the picture does not show the front of the joystick. So .. this still could be a FF joystick. I would say, this is a FF joystick because of those ventilation holes if that's what they are.
-
Well, Saitek centering spring worked just fine with Saitek Force Feedback stick. Take a look at this video I made few years ago. 5kAipkQwBvU&feature=c4-overview&list=UUOIJDi-Ksdfjez4aT1Xhd_g

I can not say anything about X-55, but for the money X-52 and X-52pro are just fine.
-
Why not? Take a look at Saitek Cyborg Evo Force, which was a Force Feedback joystick.
