The only reason I got into this sim was because it offered me a chance to fly Soviet aircraft as all I ever flew before were Western stuff. That RED aircraft won't sell stuff is just so not true!

I feel this mission maybe broken! There is supposed to be a flight of MiG-29s or MiG-23s to assist you with regard to the F-5s

Against a superior aircraft like the F-15 and F-18, a stealthy approach is the real key and the famous hit and run tactics. Don't stay to fight or else you won't come back. The fighters you are fighting against are a generation older to you and have both the speed and turning ability to be more than a match for you. Try this against your friend, you have the option of AWACS, he doesn't. Approach him from the side and take him out with that R-60M. It makes for a fairer fight!

@Pepin... As a dedicated Red Flanker driver myself, yes, the R-27R sucks, but so does every other missile in the game. If you get shot down, don't blame your missile or the enemy's missile, blame yourself because you put yourself in a bad position to get shot down in the first place :) Oh and please stop starting new threads like this every few months. It's getting boring!

Cockpit AOA gauge is correct and considered final. Even the F2 view AOA can show wrong figures.

Possibly one of the best missions I've flown for the MiG-21bis in true Soviet PVO style. Would love for a stern conversion intercept instead of the FQ intercept used in this mission ;). Thanks for sharing.

Actually, the cockpit is "fixed" IMHO. It's far better than it was. Of course, the other systems functionalities like gunsight and stuff could be done better. It's a nice module though and I thoroughly enjoy flying it! On another note, I'm actually thankful to M3/Leatherneck for being bold enough to be the first to bring a fully-modeled REDFOR fighter to DCS. Kudos to them for that!

I have FC3. I've got this mod to work before, but just placing the folder in either destination is not working. That's why I'm asking is there anything else that needs to be done.

I've tried to install this mod based on the installation instructions given, but none of them work and I'm unable to use the mod? As instructed, I've dropped the "Pak-fa" folder into both SavedGames and mods/aircraft and it still does not appear. Anything extra need to be done?

Its not just VR.. its there in non-VR as well. Its only the Su-33 that's affected!

Yes, please, I would love for an option to use clean cockpit glass. Right now, the MiG-21 is unusable. I can't even see the runway properly with the current cockpit.

Nice report! Unfortunately, all missiles are bugged, not only the R-77 and ED have supposedly been looking at the missiles for a long time. So don't expect a fix anytime soon.

There has to be a 4th Gen Russian Multirole aircraft like MiG-29K or Su-30/Su35

I really don't care what other aircraft they put into FC4 as long as it has a single 4th Gen Russian Jet (FC level), then its good. MiG-29K looks a nice candidate and so is the Su-30 (maybe not Su-30 as its dual-seat). I mean they had the MiG-29K already in the original Su-27 Commander versions and I believe there are remnants of the MiG-29K code still available in some lua file in the game. Come on, just slap on the MiG-29 PFM they are currently working on, add Su-25T weapons capability, some fancy MFDs, and a working hook from the Su-33 and voila MiG-29K..:D (Long shot, I know, but I got to try)

If there's going to be an FC4, please can you guys introduce a 4th Gen Russian multirole fighter like a Su-30/34/35 or a MiG-29K/MiG-31 since the hope of getting a DCS level one is 0 right now.

ED should look into a way to making Deferred Shading turned off for those of us that can't afford a graphics card upgrade especially with the insane prices these cards are at right now.
