This thread has gone off into a different tangent. Can the mods create a separate thread from where this thread starts diverging? On that note, I feel ED should look into the possibility of developing a FC3 level modern Russian aircraft if they can't create a DCS level one. I really don't mind if its FC3 level also as long as I get a modern REDFOR aircraft. A MiG-31, Su-35 or MiG-29K anyone?

I'm holding off flying it for now as well until the PFM is in "released" state. Also, this is the reason I came to Lock-On = for the Su-33 & MiG-29. No other sim at that time had it and still don't  Eagerly awaiting this!

Thanks for uploading all those "old but gold" videos Ironhand. They are invaluable! I cannot thank you enough. Please post more of the oldies and new, if you have any, if and when you do get the time! Thanks again. S!

Yes!!! Thanks Ironhand. Much appreciated!

Thank you comrade Ironhand. I really don't care about the video quality. As you say, I want it for that nostalgic feeling. Plus, its always nice to show it to newcomers so that they understand the nitty gritty and nobody explains it better than you.

Yes, some are there, I miss the others though like the the one where you land a Su25A in bad weather using only instruments, the visual landing at Sochi with the 25T, the visual landing with a MiG-29, the SAM avoidance training with the A-10A, and my eternal favourite the one with Brzl takes on the F-16s and the transport or awacs using only EOS and then scooting home. Also, Chris Warren's pop-up attack video. All of them are just great videos and it would be really great if you can upload them to your new YouTube channel. I was to download all of them before you took the site down. If you don't want to upload them to YouTube, maybe upload them to some free online cloud storage so that we can at least download them? Pretty please

@Ironhand, can you upload all the videos from that flankertraining website to the YouTube channel. Its still helpful.

I still have Win 8.1 x64. Don't plan on going to Win 10 unless Microsoft stops this crappy privacy stuff in some update. I can't understand how most people agree to this stuff. Its total crapola!!!

The R-33 is a SARH missile, not a ARH missile!

Yes, I mean the new SVP-24 system https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3044223&postcount=2 As you can see, there's a new MFD installed.
-
I was just about to bitch about and ask what's the status, but thank you ED! Now, the question is, when is it going to be released? Two weeks? ;) Too bad they couldn't implement the new MFDs that were installed in real-life Su-33s in Syria. Guess its too classified. No worries though, I'm happy with this!

[REQUESTED]Su27 datalink not working with clients
Drona replied to Frostie's topic in Su-27 for DCS World
Comrade, in Mother Russia, we fight and fly for the Motherland and the motherland alone. We no fly NATO aircraft. Such traitors will be either shot or sent to Gulag ;) -
[REQUESTED]Su27 datalink not working with clients

Why??? They are already getting the F-14A&B, F-18C, and Typhoon. Not enough for them??? :megalol: -
Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
Drona replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
Hmm, okay, I will add that file, but I fly on the 104th too with a higher ping than on Buddyspike and there's no lag there whatsoever or any other server I fly on, its just on Buddyspike. Maybe the scripts or something else? Anyway, thanks, I will try that file to see if there is any improvement! -
Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 9
Drona replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
I came on to the Blueflag server last Sunday after a probably a year (I stopped playing there due to the lag) hoping that the lag issues are fixed and to an extent, they are. So good job! The problem is (I fly Redfor) whenever I engage a bandit, the target starts rubberbanding and doing crazy things. Point blank 5-7 km R-27R or T shots go crazy due to this rubberbanding effect. When asked on the game chat, some pilots claimed it was due to pilots using SRS radio. I'm not sure whether this is the actual reason, but I urge the organizers or admins of the server to have a look into it. You guys have a great campaign and thanks for all the hard work! -
You do have a wild imagination, but keep dreaming :)

Comrade Breakshot, IMO, its too much to ask ED to at least tweak it. They have much better things to do ;)

Don't update to Windows 10 creators update (1703)!
Drona replied to Weltensegler's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Microsoft's policies with data collection and updates in Win 10 just sucks. I just hope that Steam OS or some Linux version comes out with a game-friendly design. Wishful thinking I know.:music_whistling: -
Since Magnitude is making a new livery template, may I suggest you please make the templates like how ED has done for their templates. I'm a noob in skin making and I find the ED templates much easier to work with. The current MiG-21 template is really a pain to work with as I really don't know how to even color it, it goes crazy when I try to color it. The ED templates are so much easier. If you decide to stick with the old template approach, at least please make a manual on how to skin the MiG-21. Thanks

^^What everyone said, also, with being carrier capable, it has a strengthened undercarriage, a larger wing area, weighs about 2 tonnes heavier than the baseline Su-27 (empty configuration), is slower than Su-27, but has two more weapon stations, has in-flight refuelling, a supposedly better optical targeting system, rated 8+g You just have to learn how to fly her. If you want to go nose down in the Su27, trim down, that's all. No need to put forward pressure on the stick!

Thank you, Rich. A great service indeed and I've learnt a lot from you. Cheers! Can you upload all those videos that were on the site to your YouTube channel? I know you have done some, but all of them would be pretty nice!

@Sith, thanks man! At least its being worked on!
