I made a topic about this for the P-47, and I have a suspicion that there might be an issue with the the model(s) themselves, specifically inadequate suction in the vacuum system. In the P-47 during cold start you can clearly see that the suction never reaches adequate range for nominal operation per the gauge. This may be the same issue for the mossie. I'll attach that post below.

"Trim Sensitivity" may be a misnomer, but I am also having trim problems in that the trim response is too fast. When turning down trim speed in the lua file (from 1 to .25) I was able properly trim the aircraft. Would like to see the trim speed/response per button press reduced as to make it usable under cruise conditions.

Came here to post this exact issue. Would be nice for this feature to be working properly.

I love the 110 (holdover from the crush I developed on the other sim), but the P-38 is the one I want most.
-
I would love to see this stuff, and I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but I want to see the theatre that’s already underway fully fleshed out before development starts on another one.

The main (kinda only, because I probably wouldn’t fly it) reason I’d get excited about a 262 - watching it explode as people try and turn fight a spit and rapidly throw the throttle around.

Loving the new Mossie Monday Series. Well done.

Will it be Mossie Mysteries? -
Thanks! I added one to the Dora bug report, as my search didn't turn anything up.

Thanks! This is exactly what I was referring to. I had to uninstall/reinstall DCS a month or so back, and immediately noticed the difference in trim performance. Hopefully they fix this within module, so we can stop modifying lua files.
-
Not to mention that the trim wheel selection is way too coarse when compared to the P-51, Spit, etc. Much harder to make fine adjustments in this aircraft. I once fixed this with the LUA file, but can't find the link anymore.

known AFN-2 Homing not implemented or functioning correctly
Jakey-Poo posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
There are a ton of prospective customers who are waiting to make the jump into DCS WWII but are skeptical of the amount of attention and support that this area of the sim gets. Making this system functional would help that (not to mention those of us who have already committed) problem, as well as add another important system to the already existing aircraft and those yet to come. EDIT: Wanted to make clear that this was not intended as a bash; at all. I enjoy the hell out of this sim and these aircraft, maps, asset packs, etc. This post was only to point out a buggy/missing system, and address that people I talk to (that fly other sims) point this out to me as an example of something that is holding them back from jumping into DCS as they feel it should have been addressed by now. Rather that's a fair or unfair take isn't the point of this post.- 1 reply

I’m not sure. I believe there was already a bug thread for this, but it’s been a while since I originally posted.

any movement on this?

This happens to me as well - Oddly enough this hang only happens to me when I crash in the water.

Title. Not necessary for people with tons-o-buttons, but would be a handy option.

Stick Axis fine tuning (BFM pro advice needed)
Jakey-Poo replied to Jakey-Poo's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for. Coming from warbirds I've never had a problem (except the spit) with fine control of my stick, but the A/A refueling in the Tomcat was really getting to me - which led to the question. Looks like I just need to practice, practice, practice. EDIT: I also just rebuilt my hotas setup to be able to use more stick deflection. Initially my stick was just mounted to a piece of wood supported by a single shelf bracket, and I had already broken it several times with the torque required for high stick deflection. Just rebuilt it tonight so it was strong enough to support more weight during stick movement (mostly X-axis, but stronger all around). Thanks again for the input. -
I didn't even know this existed, but now I'm rushing to utilize it.
-
Title. I just want my hotas command to match the in-cockpit functionality, please.
-
I just got done fine tuning my stick (for now). Actually I just posted a new thread looking for further advice on axis tuning which will probably get me crucified. If you wanna take a look and weigh in any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thought process: This plane is twitchy as a Spitty. How do you tame a spit without a stick extension or ridiculous curves? Turn down the Y-saturation on your axis. The question is: Are there times when you actually need full deflection on your Y-axis? I'm still new enough at the Tomcat and have never flown it online, so I'd like input from some of the pros on here. I know the concept of sacrificing input to your control surfaces is almost sacrilege, but if those 20 or 30 (Saturation levels) are mostly unused or ineffective, and the sacrifice gives you greater control of your necessary range of motion, it seems like a good trade. Just a question, and all input is greatly appreciated. Please don't sacrifice me to the BFM Gods for my ignorance.

No extensions. Actually setting up my brand new (today) MCGU. Messing with spring tension atm.

Thanks. This section answers my question. Aside from the odd drop my only consistent issue is identifying when the missile actually goes active. Reading old posts it seems to have been broken in one direction or the other up until recently.
-
TLDR: Do we actually KNOW yet when the Phoenix goes active/pit bull? At 4:30 when he is covering “A-pole” or the missile going active it got me thinking about being able to apply this in game, and realizing I still have not seen an uncontested answer to the following question - Do we have a solid way to discern in game (from the pilots seat) when the missile goes active or “pit bull”? Would love to be able to notch, but everytime I try to follow the latest info I get about the Phoenix going active I always lose track and the missile goes stupid.
