  1. Yes, now compare this to the AMRAAM and how relatively smoothly it lofts and de-lofts now - one is on an older API, the other on a newer one. I guess it'll get there eventually.
  2. I do hope to finally see the early A and maybe even IRIAF A in the next major update.
  3. And you know this how and based on what data? Even a F-16? The published charts speak a very different picture as far as the raw numbers go. Not arguing that the cat isn't currently underperforming, but so are various other jets in DCS and that by a pretty substantial amount.
  4. Because neither me nor many others use any mods. I always recompile my fxo and shaders after each DCS update. This bug happens at randon and restarting DCS usually fixes it - it is 100% a DCS bug.
  5. Again, latest OB, still happening, especially on NTTR.
  6. This has been a bug since like ever, it happens at random when you start or load a new mission. If you close DCS and restart the same mission they will appear again. This happens fairly frequently on the NTTR map.
  7. Interesting. Do you have your radar elevation bound to an axis? Are you using the DDD or TID? What is your target doing? (Tacview would be preferable as a showcase).
  8. The Phoenix is currently not on the latest ED missile API. So there is that.
  9. Actually I never thought of that, might give it a shot.
  10. How are you trying to lock? Using Jester? ACM mode? Are you telling him to lock the closest enemy or closest general target?
  11. Was this reproduced outside of GAW/PGAW?
  12. Yes, drop at least 4.
  13. It's not really difficult either, decoys and a low level ingress works every time. The moment you add a more layered defense with IR, AAA and medium range stuff is where it really gets dicey and near to impossible without a significant standoff weapon.
  14. You can tune VOR's though and do non-precisions.
  15. Congrats to all the winners! Even though I personally think there were some much better contributions (like the aggressor schemes).
  16. Could be on some DDI page but there is no physical gauge for it.
  17. No, that it in fact is pretty neutral and holds said AOB. Read the previous conversation.
  18. Most likely just inlet and probes. Anything else you'll just increase speed.
  19. Any news? Been a while.
  20. Personally I think a TRAM jet will be more than fine - I dont know if there is any public/unclass documentation on SWIP. I know TRAM stuff can be found on ebay and those grea areas, generally. GP bombs, low level nav and LGB's later on were the bread and butter of the A-6.
  21. I do. Also the fact that every real Hornet driver I spoke to stated the same. Commercial airplanes usually tend to exhibit positive static stability in pitch and roll. And the aileron itself has no effect on that, it's the general config, sweep and wing geometry + local AOA. It makes no sense to program a FBW law to exhibit these unwanted behaviours in the first place.
  22. No they surely don't suck. As a matter of fact the Mig-21 is the most supported and constantly updated module in DCS. It's just that they are preoccupied with the F4U development, which they are contractually obligated to deliver by X date. Coding a new suspension model isn't that easy either. I do however hope the nosewheel shimmy issue and the wheels digging into the ground at high grossweights in the turns get addressed sooner rather than later. Other than this I don't see any glaring bugs or issues with this module anymore (in-cockit pilot model would be nice though ).
  23. Probably something to do with ECM is my guess.
  24. Yeah, not a thing. Unless it's some insane precip. If anything I'd be curious how they model airframe icing down the road and whether you can pick up precipitation with your radar (A2G mode).
