I agree! This would be nice. I always go in and change the settings for the HMCS (A-10C II) at every start-up. Would be great if DCS could remember user settings.

VKB T-Rudder Pedals - Review
MIghtymoo replied to rrohde's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Did some tweaking of the rudder pedals yesterday. Went from normal to strong tension on the spring and flipped to the soft centered cam. In my opinion the pedals have an even better feel/resistance and centers very well. Highly recommended to do this change in setup. Also I adjusted the pedal links to be a little bit shorter (just turn the links to shorten the length). This reduced the height of the pedals with 1 cm and they are even more comfortable and still have full range deflection. -
I am doing mission editing from time to time and can recommend this guy that I found by coincidence today: https://www.youtube.com/user/yetanothergamingfail Makes useful tutorials, also for the more experienced editors.

Very interesting read. Also noticed a ton of mishaps with MQ-drones

What actually happened? Technical failure? Pilot error?

VKB T-Rudder Pedals - Review
MIghtymoo replied to rrohde's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
LOL! Here goes..... I have used the rudder pedals for 5-6 hours now, and I still think they are superb. I don't know the big negative comments towards the missing toe-brakes, as 95% of the time you are in the air. Also, I think the pedals are fine to fly with socks now. Just need some getting used to. Gives better accuracy compared to sneakers. Very light/thin shoes or thick socks may be the optimum setup. For the money/accuracy and comfort, I think they are highly recommended. -
My latest mission for the A-10C II. This is an action packed Air-to-Ground mission that will test your skills with the A-10C II The mission can be played on FIVE different difficulties from EASY to SUICIDAL (choose via F-10 menu when prompted in the mission). The mission is interactive and have 25 triggers and 20 voice-overs (by Azure Neural Network), and took a week to complete. Have done lots of testing, but if you find anything strange, please comment below. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3318178/

first time in A10CII cockpit in VR

VR is great, but a "MUST" is a strong statement to get lots of enjoyment out of flight sims -
first time in A10CII cockpit in VR

Monitor and VR has different advantages. It depends on what you are trying to achieve. VR all the way for immersion! Good for the adrenaline rush and bad for the neck Monitor with head tracker for more relaxed flying, looking at checklists/notes and generally a more comfortable time. Each has their strengths and weaknesses. -
VKB T-Rudder Pedals - Review
MIghtymoo replied to rrohde's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I received the VKB T-Rudder pedals yesterday. I had the Thrustmaster T-Flight earlier and sold them after one week. Did not work for me at all. Very hard to be accurate and quite uncomfortable. Near impossible to center during play. Since then I have been flying with twist stck rudder, untill I upgraded my stick to the TM Warthog. The VKB T-Rudder just exceded all my expectations and I am very happy. It gives flying the F-14 a new dimension. Never thought the rudder can have so much impact on the accuracy in flying. Not to say for the helis.... My only negative comment is that they may be a little uncomfortable during extended play in socks. Light shoes are perfect. As for immersion, which real pilot flies in socks? Highly recommended!!! -
I am running 32 GB memory. Works great with DCS. 16 GB is on the low side IMHO.

Possibility to organise/hide modules on start page DCS
MIghtymoo replied to MIghtymoo's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Thanks for the balanced reply. I agree that "sorely needed" can be adjusted to "nice to have" . No offence, sirrah I agree that this is not the biggest of issues, but should be pretty easy to fix as someone else did a mod on this already. -
Possibility to organise/hide modules on start page DCS
MIghtymoo replied to MIghtymoo's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Offence taken. We are obviously different. I wanted to tip ED about the mod that someone made to organize the icons on the bottom of the start page. Each person must decide if this is important to them or not. I guess they must have some function for someone, or they would not be there. -
I found this great mod in the user files: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3317939/ Looks like a great idea for ED to implement a similar function, as this is sorely needed. Now it is frankly a pain to find different modules on the long row of icons on the bottom. Installed modules should at least be shown on the left side and maybe the not installed modules to the right with semitransparent icons? Ideally you should also be able to arrange the icons as you wish.

Started to roll out of control after shooting rockets?
MIghtymoo replied to Frag's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
Agree. Works great. -
Here is a PDF I made with all the light related panels: Lights – MI-24P HIND.pdf

I prefer the P-variant in DCS due to the more powerfull 30mm twin barrel guns. 12.7 mm guns act like pea-shooters in DCS.

Same issue here.

Installed the sound mod for F-16 via OVGME. I like the mod so far. Quite different that the ED. Not superior, but different. High G-breathing is very different. Also the landing sounds better than ED, but ED has more powerfull/loud sounds. I have no idea which one is more realistic. Keeping it for more testing.
