  1. No need to shutdown anything. Park at a parking place, switch to intercom and tell 'em to rearm the hawg. Update: For good measure you should (already) have done a 'fence out', Safe everything, appropriate lights and so on.
  2. Really good mission! 3 of us in MA tested it yesterday. We like the atmosphere, that it's fast paced and the concept. It will roll many times on our server! :thumbup:
  3. 30dpcm is around 72dpi. And not considered a 'very fair' print resolution. If you print a 4x4m billboard i can buy 72dpi, but not on a A0 poster you view from 1-5m. This will be my last post in this matter, since we apparently don't agree on the subject. I just hope we can have a poster as christmas present from ED ;)
  4. So your saying the small leaflets, stored as a PDF contain 300dpi+ A0 images? I believe not. Especially since the total size is around 22MB. The posters I produce end up as 500-2000MB PDF's..
  5. Looks really neat. If you got time, please make a poster too. I've got a big format printer at work. Would like an A0 or A1 poster on my wall.. ;)
  6. Eddie, if you ever come to Sweden and Gotland. All the beer is on me! :) You saved my day! ( and my self esteem ) :) Update: I started with 800lbs of fuel. And filled up to 8400lbs in one try. Then he disconnected. So it's 'working' now. Nothing wrong with the piloting skills ;) This will have to do until it's fixed in a coming patch.

  8. I'll see if i can come up with a track tonight. I had 7300lbs total, less then 70% of maximum. And I can fly with the boom connected for 10min straight, I'm well within its envelope. It only disconnects visually when I press NWS. Edit: Perhaps someone can post a mission where you know AAR works in MP and 1.1.1.0 ? TCN range didn't work in the mission until i replaced the tanker and changed from 12Y to 1X. Perhaps some other setting on the KC-135 is wrong too.
  9. When i refuel in MP in 1.1.1.0 someting is spooky. I can connect, he says im taking fuel. And 1 sec later he always say disconnect. The boom is still in. And i can fly with the boom in for 10min straight. But i don't take any fuel. Then i press NWS, latched goes to disconnect, i press NWS again, and instant connect, taking fuel, and 1 sec later disconnect. I've refueled succesfully loads of times in earlier patches. MP bug or something obvious that im missing? I've tried to stay lower and higher. He says disconnect even if i'm 100% lined up, green bar and no movement on the boom at all. master arm off, tgp off, CMS stby. MP bug or am i missing something obvious that's new to this patch? All fill disable switches is in default, crossfeed is off, tk gate default. Edit: have not tried in SP in 1.1.1.0 And the tanker is placed in a mission i've made. Is there perhaps something wrong with the tanker settings?

  11. Does ED have some kind of crash trace tool they use for debugging? With this kind of community. I think it's a very good idea to let us install one if it exists. That way you guys get the reports you need, and in a format you prefer. It's a win-win. Personally i haven't had any crashes at all since that lovely CBU bug in beta. But i know the frustration the ones affected feel.
  12. I think they MUST update the pits to 3d and 6dof. It's faster then inserting the ugly 2d pits into the DCS engine. But the time consuming issue should be to make the cockpit clickable. It's a nice to have, not must have.
  13. If you can see him, and he's not flashing on the ABRIS. It's ok. I'm a bit rusty aswell. But remember to reset the shkval before you send the data. It saves the 'mem' inputs you did. Then make sure the target icon and the wingman icon flash before you press 'send'
  14. I was talking from a public multiplayer point of view. It's very rare to find a balanced multiplayer enviroment that is not password protected.
  15. Yes, but DCS: Fighter is probably released in a year or so. I hope you can remove FC3 compability when you host. It ruins the gameplay in BS, it will ruin it even more if you're in a A-10C. You don't stand a chance vs. the poorly modeled noob planes in FC3. And from my experience, the community who fly FC3 seem to be around the same age as the MW2 community.... But i guess that's what you get when you can dogfight with mouse and keyboard... But i will buy it anyway, but only fly FC3 vs. FC3.
  16. Modern tanks won't have any problems at all to hit a slow moving heli from 1km+. And it's one shoot, one kill too.
  17. You need to recenter BOTH rudder and cyclic after releasing the trim button.
  18. If your friend use max collective all the time. You should stop listening to him and ask your questions here instead... ;)
  19. IIRC AA/AAA is added automagically. And their detection range. It doesn't autoupdate inflight, only if you respawn.

  24. I have not done any scientific research, but from looking at my G19 keyboard, BS2 use about 4GB of RAM. BF3 doesn't use much more when i did a quick test. I think the CPU is the biggest bottleneck if you have a decent GPU. Or to be more specific, the lack of multithreading is the bottleneck.
  25. Everything on max. Trees 15000mm, 1024 every frame. etc. etc. etc. Lowest frame drop was 48. It's as smooth as it can be. Now i gtg go to sleep. GTX 580 16Gb RAM Sata 3 SSD i7 2600K 3.4GHz (untouched). And i managed to assemble it without destroying anything, what a miracle.. ;) Create a mission and link it here if you want me to test it. Edit: Average fps is around 60, so i guess i have vsync on.
