  1. Srsly, gief beta. On topic: not only is my F5 key worn out, my index finger is worn out too. Have to use the left one from now on..
  2. The resolution is 1nm since you give the distance in nm. So it's basically a 1852x1852m area where your bad guy can hide.
  3. IR through water still has some limitations... ;) And about the laser, I think the clouds (water drops) "bend" the laser as it does with the "normal" light. So GPS or INS guided munitions is your best bet. And a JTAC on the ground to give you the coords. (omg, I just got an idea for another CA mission now)
  4. But Civ traffic is a server side setting right? So by disabling civ. traffic you reduce the workload of the clients.
  5. And don't forget to press "Nav" on the MFCD/CDU when INS NAV READY is flashing. Then you can select EGI on the NMSP, and arm EAC. I enable SAS as soon as I have ground power or APU generator online.
  6. You believe Wags use telepathy? Someone has to grab the info from the devs, decide what's appropriate to go public with. And post it. Yes, i believe it will take around 1 man hour in total to get some proper info out to the public.
  7. I've never tested, but I think you can't remove the bullseye from a mission.
  8. Wags recently told us. It was less then a week ago. I'm pretty sure they update as soon they have anything new to say. Until then, the last statement is the latest news. And if we speculate, would you like man hours to be spent on updating these boards every day, or use those limited hours testing the beta build?
  9. They've said it's game breaking bugs. We don't need to know more details.
  10. Volvo Aero made ALOT of changes to the engine prior to mounting it on the Gripen. They added a lot of redundancy, and later on FADEC. They specifically mention bird strikes, flame outs and compressor stalls and how they did to improve the reliability. Here's a really in depth article about the process, it's in Swedish. But try to google translate it and see if it is understandable. http://www.idg.se/2.1085/1.174315/reaktionsmotor-12---bade-vacker-och-stark Pretty decent translation to English: http://translate.google.se/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.idg.se%2F2.1085%2F1.174315%2Freaktionsmotor-12---bade-vacker-och-stark
  11. Yea, Swedish news apparently quoted BBC then because they said the same thing.. It's like saying the Su-35 is from the 70's. Edit: Damn iPad.. I really hope they find the other two pilots alive.
  12. OM*G are you snerious?? Gief more info!! And I better hope you're not bullshitting me here!! :D
  13. And if you don't like the fidelity, no one is forcing you to buy, or fly with those modules. :)
  14. I've read somewhere that the Harrier could only hover for 60 sec. Is that correct? Oh, and it was because some water cooling reservoir limitations. Please advice. :)
  15. If Wags is back from his trip we can expect to see either some new screenies or CA posted later today/tonight/tomorrow depending on your time zone and if Wags has got the time for it. Only time will tell. By the way, would be awesome if ED posted the stats for the frontpage hits since last week :)
  16. EtherealN just has some weird perverted ideas about that flying tractor. And the only chance of that said tractor to appear in DCS: World is if EtherealN would code one himself..
  17. You can experiment with HOF and that other thingy that decides how fast it will fling the submunitions (forgot the name in DSMS). HOF is 1800ft from 1.1.1.1 IIRC.
  18. When your Abris show the BSOD.
  19. Scroll back in this thread and look for the update from Wags. It's released when it's playable. Edit: got sooo sniped
  20. And SAS isn't working as intended if you play DCS World. Check the ball. And trim, trim and re-trim.
  21. I rather wait 1 more month then to have a beta release with game breaking bugs. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out it's crunch time at ED. Remember to reheat that pizza before you eat it! :D
  22. BMS is fun to fly MP. But the only reason I play is because of the afterburner. When fast jets is released in DCS:W I don't think I'll ever fly BMS again. I have only one thing to say to the BMS fanboys: how many OSB buttons are labeled but not working? And how many OSB buttons isn't even labeled? And don't get me started about MP stability, worst controller mapping in the gaming industry and ground handling. It's time to get realistic, we've moved on from Win98, it's time to move on from F4 as well.
  23. Nevada and EDGE is gonna be an awesome addition to DCS World. When we get the fast jets and CA, we're getting really close to a virtual orgasm. Now I just hope ED give use a Su-35 and Ah-64D Longbow and I will quit my job and play 24/7 for a year.
