  1. That’s your opinion yes. Also unless it translates to MP it’s of no use to that part of the community. And I purposely left out countermeasure stuff because that isn’t releasable to the public. But this isn’t the thread for data cartridge discussions so I’ll leave it be.
  2. A real DTC (this example for the A-10C) consists of the following. What you suggest wouldn’t solve 99% of the issues. The MDTC provides the ability to input mission data into the CICU, EGI, CDU and LASTE equipment of the aircraft. This data includes: -Waypoints -Flight plans -GPS Embedded Module (GEM) Operational Flight Program (OFP) -EGI OFP -Symbol Generator -Voice Message Unit files -GPS almanac -GPS Cryptographic Key (JDAM) -CDU initialization file -ARC-210 configuration data -TAD display settings -TAD map overlays -HMCS Profiles -Threat data -IFF OFP -LASTE pilot preferences --Weapons inventory and profiles data --Launch region coefficients -DataLink (SADL/VMF) configuration data and message upload -Targeting Pod configuration data -Data and Settings Upload -TAD profiles -CICU Data Pump definitions -Digital Terrain System Application Software (DTSAS provides predictive ground collision adoidance system warnings, obstacle warning cues , and target ranging info on the HUD)
  3. This is probably my most looked forward to map. I’m ready to launch my A-10C out of the hotel loop at Incirlik and have to hold short because Turk AF Vipers have an alert launch in progress!
  4. Although I have a different definition of sustainment of a product I appreciate the update. I hope we get this same type of post for the Viper, A-10C 2 and other products when they enter EA in the future.
  5. My picture references above are from Moody AFB that I took myself in March 2020. Like zinhawk said every A-10 cockpit is slightly different, but per the TO the markings should be there. Doesn't mean that every one has them when gauges are replaced. You can see proof of that in my picture above where the #2 engine RMP gauge didn't get the markings painted on it. I could go out to all 40 something A-10s we have on the ramp at Moody AFB and find things different on every jet. If ED really wanted to be realistic they'd offer multiple version of the A-10C cockpit for members to select. The issue (not really an issue) is it's "one texture fits all" when in reality that doesn't exist. Below is a video of me starting the APU back in 2011 (Bignewy, if it's not deleted this video was provided in mantis back when I was testing to show the speed an indication the APU should be during start). You can see then the green mark wasn't there but the picture I took in March it was. Again neither is wrong per say.
  6. :megalol::megalol: okay dude you got me.
  7. I see you just want to go round and round. You’re free to believe what you want. I hope we get HMCS too but until the official features are announced I stand by my original post.
  8. I wouldn’t assume anything until ED gives an announcement in the news letter.. For all we know HMCS mentioned by Nick in the interview is for the DoD version not the commercial one.
  9. Damn engine troops fail again. :D
  10. Almost correct in the latest version 2.5.6.47224 The only thing still missing is the green around the APU RPM guage.
  11. Actually they're correct now accept the APU RMP gauge is still missing the green around the edge. (original bug thread https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=266157) I idn't submit a bug initially for the flap and g meter but those are correct now in the new update as well. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=266156
  12. On the real jet we have a slat safety pin we install during recovery, once installed the slats move to full up position and they stay there until we pull the pin and the jet starts back up. Obviously that isn't modeled in DCS.
  13. Although I agree HMCS will be awesome for me anyways the A-10C 2 needs more than that to make it worth it.
  14. Agreed but different bug
  15. Not sure what you’re trying to tell me. My testing of the signal lights is a direct comparison between what I did in a real A-10C and how the A-10C in DCD behaves.
  16. Then my reference is correct, the bright/dim switch doesn't work. That being said multiple threads have been made on this topic. If I had to guess this won't get addressed until A-10C 2 is closer.
  17. Well it isn’t clear when you’re not calling them by the correct name(s).
  18. Unless they have them through a contact not likely because both fall under ITAR.
  19. Switch doesn’t work correctly anyways. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=266154
  20. I've been around them for over 16 years ;)
  21. For clarification all weapon stations on the wings are not removable on the A-10. And the pave penny, although removed since around 2013, was not something we removed even for demo birds back in the day. So if we don't get an upgraded suite in A-10C 2 the pylon should stay.
  22. Mod updated to reflect correct color and when hung on the hip station of the Hornet. http://www.476vfightergroup.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=489
  23. Wow all that info was never intended to be in a kneeboard.
  24. When one kneeboard is in focus and paging up or down via buttons on the tablet it moves pages in both kneeboard a for me. Is this expected behavior!
  25. I haven’t tested in DCS but real world starting either engine has nothing to do with the APU generator being on (or off). I’ll see if I can duplicate what you’re seeing.
