Many thanks Mytos. This is going to be very useful, especially for planning missions.

Wow. CG's ED forum's own Simon Cowell ain't he??? Subtle as a sledgehammer!! ;)

Look at the instrument panel about in the middle just below the main flight instruments. You'll see three rectangular green lights. Can't remember which order it's in but these represent aileron, elevator and rudder trim. If the light is lit, then the trim is at it's neutral position. To reset the trim in the 25 or 25T, if for example your plane is rolling left but otherwise flying straight, chances are two of the lights will be lit and one unlit. Add aileron trim to the right till the light illuminates. Same procedure for rudder and elevator trim if they're not lit. This should be perfect if you're not carrying a payload. However during a mission (especially if you're carrying an uneven load - fired 1 Kh-25T out of 2 for example) chances are that neutral trim still won't have you flying straight and level. but from this point you can trim it up as is required for your load/speed etc with a solid knowledge of where your starting point for trimming was.

Need Help: New Su-33/27K Skin

That looks really.....REALLY good. Great work! -
I've just found that after installing the 1.11 patch the settings in the network.lua file get changed (even if they'd previously been altered as per Wolverine's post above). If you've got 1.11 and are having problems it's worth checking those settings again.

This (hopefully) will change. If you check out the posts on SimHQ's forums I'm sure they mentioned that the current state of devbelopment hasn't reached the point of adding any advanced shader effects etc. Don't forget they still consider the project to be be at a pre-alpha stage.

Explain please. I don't see how anything in that interview can be taken as hinting at "arcade."

Wonder if failure of the charges on the rotor blades will be modelled?? (j/k)

F4AF patch 1.04 has been reported by some to cause problems with the RWR volume intermittantly turning itself down/ off. I believe some also had problems with the auto-updater utility. As it is I installed it via the utility with no problems, but haven't had any time to really test it since installation. As it is patch 1.05 is ready to go, but here again a couple of problems with the auto updater on some systems need tweaking. Launch Conditions fo bombs in the SU-33
Jester_159th replied to bunraku's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I haven't flown the 33 much since FC came out, but it also used to depend on your speed and altitude. For example at around 800-1000km/h you'd get LA in level flight at an altitude as low as 400m. Dunno if this has been altered in either FC or the patch though. -
Sry..but this has just got to be said...

Can't get drunk in the cockpit yet since the drink holders are STILL missing! ......Oh. And the flying pigs. They're totally overmodelled......... ;) -
Between Sham's wrong forum and CG's new word I reckon someone's been hitting the Christmas spirit(s) a bit early this year!!! :D

This might not be purely ATI related. We have had a post on the forums on our squad's site with somewhat similar symptoms symptoms from an Nvidia card. Nowhere near as dramatic as Thomas's example but have a look and see what you think. http://159thgdsavnregt.forumsplace.com/message212.html

Seasons greetings to you all. I hope each and everyone of you have a great time, and that the New Year brings you everything you are hoping for. -
You could have a point about being spoiled by ED. LOMAC is certainly a very hard benchmark to judge any other flight sim's graphics against. Don't forget though, these videos aren't even from a product at alpha stage. Don't get too disheartened yet. Best thing would be to keep an open mind at least until you see how it looks at late alpha or early beta stages of development. I just hope they're able to see the project through. With no publisher to back them it's taking a long time to do. It would be a crying shame if this didn't get finished.

If you have an ATI card, turn off AF in the ATI control panel. Also try turning off the ATI tray tool utility. These two steps solved all my graphics issues and CTD's with thunderstorms as you describe.

If you haven't already seen it, Dante-JT has posted a link on the SimHQ forums to a short in cockpit video of the Harrier hovering and some info on their progress and next planned steps. http://www.simhq.com/simhq3/sims/boards/bbs/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=109;t=000045;p=2 (Scroll down the page to find the link to the video)

Very true. Interesting to note the total lack of content in all that typing Reaper does when his motives are questioned. Likes to hide behind (very poor) atempts at distraction. Needs to work on his technique a bit. Also very strange that someone that is so anti-StarForce still has a product containing it residing on his valuable hard drive. He admits he's indifferent towards LOMAC (nothing wrong with that. It's his personal opinion and he's entitled to it). But then I've got to wonder why he's so vocal about the copy protection system it includes if he's indifferent to the product. Why doesn't he just uninstall it and walk away? And also I notice that he's employing his normal tactic of rather than answering points that are raised about his posts he resorts to trying to belittle the person doing the questioning. Sorry Reaper, but I call it like I see it. And when it comes to SF related topics you come over like someone with an agenda. And yes, Reaper I have an agenda. I'll freely admit it. Here it is: From my own experience with multiple SF protected games, and everything I've seen posted on not only this forum, but also the Ubi forums, SimHQ and various others, it seems to me that a very vocal few (such as yourself) are trying to blow (genuine) SF related problems out of all proportion for your own reasons. I think people like you are (probably unintentionally) hurting the sim community by discouraging new people from getting involved in this genre. And this being the case whenever I see someone like you raise their heads and start spouting I'm going to start asking questions. I can only think of one reason why someone would be so vocal about a CP system that's hard to crack (especially when he's already admitted his indifference to the product it's protecting). I think it's time you stopped the rhetoric and actually answered some questions for a change.

Then why exactly are you here? And why do you only post long replies in threads relating to StarForce? Got an agenda you'd like to let us know about?
